Watched the episode. Jfc.

The "New Beginning" arc of the comics(issue #127 in particular) was easily my favorite run/issue of the comics to date. Absolutely fantastic.

...But the show has already managed to completely shit on it, to the point where it was painful/sickening for me to watch.

It was like comparing Christopher Reeve as Superman to Christopher Reeve as cripple. Just depressing.

Carol being a badass like that has gotten pretty redundant at this point. Didnt even feel much of anything when she roaster those remaining Saviors. Back when they did the rushed version of the Terminus arc though she was on fire.

That mid-season finale was better than I thought. Glad it's gone back to more zombie survival.

What’s the deal with the walker voice when Eugene and that one chick went missing? Are walkers having herd leaders now? I watch the show but I’m honestly not Invested in any of the new characters, I just remember hearing some type of voice when Eugene was in the mud hiding

They're called 'The Whisperers'. They aren't actually talking zombies, though... They're normal humans who wear the hides of zombies as camouflage and walk amongst the zombie hordes -- using the zombies as both protection and a weapon.

It was a fantastic arc in the comics, but I have absolutely NO faith that the show will give it any justice whatsoever.

They are called "The Whisperers" . They are just nutjobs dressing up like Walkers. They have been talked about a few times in this thread. Kinda lame concept if you ask me.

Eh, even if the Whisperers are decently portrayed, it sucks to not be nearly as invested in the show anymore for a number of reasons.

It needs a good protagonist to get behind now that Rick is gone. Jesus could have been that. But they completely wasted him.
