Not to mention Glenn. He's already outlived a bunch of white people.

I really don't know what this show is thinking.

Rick needs to smack her around...women with opinions!?

Don't really read the comics but is there some sort of scientific explanation for the outbreak? And has there been any reference to what is going on over seas?

Yeah in Season One they mentioned the outbreak has happened overseas and all the scientists were working on solving the problem. As far as the show stands right now, no one knows how the virus was caused or really what it is. France was apparently making the most progress but they lost power and their building blew up like the American CDC does in the last episode of season 1.

Do the comics follow the same story also?

I havent read the comics, but Shane for instance I do know died much much earlier.

How is this show racist?

Michonne is black, right? And she is bad@ss.

T-Dog is being replaced by another black man who has potential.

Therefore, wrong assessment on your part and your girlfriend's as well.

---------------------

Watched EP4 today; very intense. This season is hardcore like they promised.

Whatever kid. After 4 seasons it's "maybe" this new prison inmate will be a strong male black character. Well done.🙄
Guess you didn't read the comics to understand the whole "assessment".
Tyreese was a cool character that was just as much of a leader of the group that Rick was, and he often put Rick in his place as well when Rick couldn't handle the pressure. When Tyreese died the group really started to fall apart.

And all we got in the TV series was T-Dog. An idiot with no opinion until the ep he died.

So your opinion is wrong.

Yup, Carl shot him while they were still outside of Atlanta.

The show follows the same basic plot as the comics, but there have been several things in the show that are vastly different than the comic: Shane's death, Lori's death, Dale's death, Hershel receiving the leg amputation, the search for Sophia, Michonne and Andrea teaming up before discovering the Prison, Daryl/Merle, etc. etc.

I hope Carol is alive.

thinking the show is racist makes you wrong.

meh, my girl did and I agreed based on it skipping on Tyresse.

Is the show truly rascist?......No.
Compared to the comic. Why not.

Who do we have in the show to compare Tyreese too? Daryl!

If Daryl faced the same kind of death Tyreese did in the comic it would hit hard.

Tyreese was a character that mattered in the more longer stetching comic series. He screwed Michonne, defied Rick, messed up Carol. He was an epic major character and the show decided to skip him.....

Take it as you will. But don't take my original post so fundamentally.

My only argument was that I agreed the show could've been rascist due to not including Tyreese as a character and having other black male characters introduced as insubstantial secondary characters.

The reason Tyreese wouldn't have worked is because there'd be no room for his role seeing as Shane was still alive.

I don't disagree that Tyreese was a great character; I liked him too. That said, assuming that he isn't in it because he was black, when both Glenn and Michionne are, or will be, major characters, doesn't fit, imo.

You know what I agree...the show only has so much time to display its story. A character like Tyreese was displayed in the show in the form of Shane (who died much earlier than the plot allowed him to) as Rick's defier of the leadership role and Andrea (her deep relationship with Michonne) as Michonne's partner in crime.

My point is Tyreese had some of the most iconic moments in the comic series. I look back on the story and he held some of the most iconic moments.
And the show decided to include T-Dog as a character...a character who did absolutely nothing in his entire run.
Glenn was personified in his whole, screw Tyreese.

I agree with that; T-Dog was no tyreese, that's for sure.

Morgan and Dwayne are likely to show up again at some point (black father and son from the pilot).

Tyrese might be written into the show for Season 4.

They should show up after this season.

He's just upset that he got a boner from it.

Why would that make him upset?

Weirdo.
