Is there enough time this season for an episode on the Rise of the Governor? As interesting as a story as it would be, there are only two episodes left and I am already worried that there won't be enough time to cover the remainder of this story arch.

Not enough time in this season, but should the Governor survive til next season it's something they could look at. Or perhaps if the Geek is the Governors bro he could run off with some people at the end of this season and then the rise of the Governor angle could be shown from his perspective next season.

Can't really imagine Milton (yes, that's actually his name) running off with some people. Or at least can't imagine people following him.

If he survived in general, I'd be fine with seeing the rise of the Governor through his perspective. Could be good.

I was thinking more in the context of; Woodbury goes to shit and rather than escape with the remnants of the Governor's militia, he joins a group which goes another way, perhaps they would be forced to do so if a herd gets involved.

Gotcha. Seems much more likely. Who else could lead it, though? Would Andrea do it?

Tyrese would be my bet, maybe Michonne.

Ermagawd.

Great episode. I'm wondering if Rick was imagining Michonne walking toward the prison like he's been doing with his wife, certainly seemed that way.

I didn't get that vibe. I felt it was Michonne making her way back after Merle let her go.

This show has become a joke.

Is there something about the zombie's bone density that has degraded it into becoming as soft as a tomato???

The Governor eased a shovel into ones head last episode.
Then Merle eased his foot through one's head in this one.
Both obvious and lackluster attempts at feeding gore to the audience.

Makes you wonder why these walkers are even a threat anymore.

Whoever the director and writers are presently suck. And it's a shame.

The Prison Saga in the comics was the highlight of the series. And this season failed on many levels to capture what made it what it was.

And I'm glad to say I was correct in the earlier posts stating that David Morrissey would be a horrible Governor.

I was correct.

-Zombie disease slowly softens bones due to the constant moisture contact of the slow rotting flesh

-Cos they can still bit and infect you.

-Nah, they're pretty good overall, especially this season, imo.

-Dude plays an excellent power-mad creep. No idea how what compares to the what he's supposed to be in the comics though. But the character is great in the show.

Bones do deteriorate...

Only because she disappeared behind that silo type thing and they didn't show her reappearing around the other side.

Hmm. I'd have to re-watch.

This will be my show. Big fan of the comics and AMC have yet to disapppoint.

This implies that zombies are ever a threat.

Honestly, I think the show is significantly better.

The Governor is an actual character in the show rather than just a sick, evil bastard like in the comic.

Why does Merle reanimate faster than those he killed with his rifle (we see him feeding on them)?

Head shot maybe.

-I assumed as much. Two episodes in a row though of little pressure squishing a head like a tomato made me think that all you need in this apocalypse is a good baseball bat.

-True.

-Fair enough, I respect other opinions.

-Saw a screening of Dawn of the Dead recently hosted by Tom Savini himself. He said "I should've been the Governor!" Everybody just lost their shit. And I couldn't agree more.

The Governor was an iconic character in the comic and was it's highlight saga.
David Morrissey is such a stoic clean cut actor. The governor was a wildman who looked like an ex-biker with a sick mind and new how to lead a cult. The men he surrounded himself with were similar in nature.
Tom Savini would have been perfect for the role.

I'm interested to hear what others think of him playing the role.

Very true now it's shown how squishy they are.

Fair enough. Personally I have fonder memories of the comics harder and more viscous and more epic view on the Prison Saga.
The comic versions of the characters are also more likable if one was to die you feel it.
But in the TV counterpart when main characters die I don't seem to give a damn.
I guess that's because the comic had a hell of alot more character interaction. More intrigue and politics.

And the comic version of the Governor is many times more memorable personally.

Ah, no worries, I wasn't saying you were wrong/stupid in your opinions, just giving mine.

I've heard a few people say Savini would have fit the Gov great in terms of appearance.
