I figured once Martinez started talking briefly about Woodbury that the Governor would might do somethin to him once they were alone, to tie up all loose ends about his past and stuff as far as that group. Thought he would've 'reeducated' Pete though rather than Mitch, the latter of whom doesn't really seem likable, but eh... Yeah, with how Martinez seemed like he was being built up on a bit more, would've preferred if he had lasted a little longer in the season, but you know Philip.
And yeah, TV show Governor >>> the Governor in the comics IMO, so naturally I've agreed with basically everything Lucien has said about the character thus far. Ninjak is more or less alone in preferring the comic one it seems.

Governor isn't one of my characters but you seem to be obsessed with my preferences.Khan cares about certain people just like most do. I know you want cardboard characters and hate the way the Governor can be human. Get used to it. Your opinion is like a child's, honestly.
Which means he's a soft-hearted pussy. Just like his greatest fanboy on these forums aka you.
Pretty sure that the coming episodes are going to be more or less in line with the comics; Beth will get killed and fall, crushing Judith to death(similar to Lori's death in the comics); Michonne and Hershel will be taken prisoner, with the former getting raped and tortured off-screen by the Gov'nah while the latter gets used as a hostage to force Rick and Co to vacate the prison. Hershel will also end up dead which'll cause Rick to go apeshit and Judy's death will similarly cause Michonne to go apeshit and she'll repay Brian's kindness with a brutal assphucking. Eventually, one of those girls(Lilly or Tara) will realize just how truly evil the Governor is, and end up killing him. I think Carl too will bite the dust in the next episode.
A total bloodbath, just as was in the comics.
With some differences. Kirkman's been really good at diverging up until this point and is treating this as a what-if in some ways (such as Shane's presence up until end of season two). Carl and Rick survived the jail battle in the comics, so if it was more in line with that I don't think we have anything to worry about.
I am concerned for the sick, such as Glenn and Sascha, who are likable charactters just being realized and could be slain easily at this point. The preview shows Glenn looking like he's been struck or shot, so that is not a good sign. Glenn is perhaps the most likable hero alongside Daryl and Michonne.
Yeah, and at this point in the story Glenn's already dead in the comics, so it's kind of a tossup on whether he'll still continue to live in the show. Hoping he does though, but I kinda figured something would happen to him after he proposed to Maggie, to keep things tragic and all.
Speaking of likable characters in the show, I still miss Merle. =(

Err.... no that's not true. This point in the comics is just shy of issue 40 I guess, and Glenn is alive and kicking for at least 60 more issues.
Anyone else think Lily looks a lot like Andrea? The scene in the trailer at the start with the leaking roof especially.
Merle was an entertaining character, and he was around for just the right amount of time. Short of giving him a cliched redemption story, there's not much more that could have been done with his character. Anything beyond his solo-sacrifice would have left a bad taste.
I'm... slightly disappointed with this episode's turn. Just slightly. Rikudo's likely right--it looks like they're just going to repeat season 3 to an extent. I foresee Rick and the Gang leaking the truth to 'Brian's' lot and we'll get another abandonment moment again. Probably with Mitch killing him out of revenge or something. Someone else from the prison will likely die--my money's on Tyreese a la the comics. I doubt Carl will. He's needed for Rick's story and development, not to mention he has plenty of his own to go through. You don't kill off characters who have nowhere near run their course.

This was pointed out in The Talking Dead.

I think his end was just the right touch. When he got somewhat redeeming, he died. And seeing Daryl break down was new depth to this character as well.

Sure you do. This is Kirkman.
