there is no counter for that, z characters (goku's crew) only know how to supress their ki signature from detection, even to the point that they appear weaker than they really are, but they are left outside butt naked when it comes to someone that can absorb their power in total like thor can

When their power has been drained before, it pretty much immobilizes them. Vegeta was able to break free from the Android, but only because he broke off its hands. Even if Thor can't drain it all at once, he can keep siphoning that energy until they're weak enough to be unable to respond.

honestly i much rather this be strickly based on the manga, no anime. simply cuz db-gt sucked something horrid. and id like to see majin vegeta vs thor and not his retarded ssj4 incarnation.
vegeta is fast, strong, ruthless and a good fighter. but he is also cocky, moody and prone to not making the worlds best judgment calls. [for example when he let cell power up just to have a worthy foe] crap like that will get him beat by thor. a 4 yearold could use his personality against him [exaggeration but you get my point]. but even still without that fctoring in thor has the power set and strength to hang with vegeta regardless of any speed advantage. thor should win the majoirty. the hammer brings alot of help. without it it might be a different story.

I think the most damning evidence against Vegeta were the feats supplied by Rage and that passive energy absorbing feat that Psycho Gundam posted, proving that, no, That doesn't need to wait for energy to be directly fired at him in order to absorb it. His powerset and Mjolnir really trump the vast majority of what DBZ offers.

Yeah, Vegeta's Arm gets broken easily by a weak ass kick, he's far more durable than Thor. There's no way Mjolnir, one of the most powerful weapons in the world, wielded by one of the most powerful beings in the world, would break Vegeta's neck or cave in his entire chest.
