Cross-Genre Match #1: Vegeta vs Thor

Started by galactusischere53 pages

It doesn't work like that PG. If the anime is allowed, then that means every showing, and I mean every showing is included. This includes all the fillers.

you didn't even know what fillers were 10 minutes ago 😬

plus it doesn't work like that. fillers contradict on-panel showings.

anime, manga, filler arc... doesn't matter, include them all. Nothing in any of them suggests that Vegeta can best Thor.

For some reason, I feel as if I've been....insulted...

Destroyed a galaxy.

And his power was maximum.

nothing, he's another non-canon element.

even then, mjolnir asorbed the null-bomb blast

This is the anime. The fillers and movies are the things that set it apart from the manga.

I think its best we leave filler out. Generally filler isn't canon.

k cool, marvel ultimate allegiance is included in thor's feats also.

i kicked the shit out of everything in that game with thor. 🙂

So this isn't Dragon Ball Z, it's just Dragon Ball. The entire anime is considered non-canon.

Thor wins.

no dude, just the filler is excluded. the movies are also non-canon other than the specials as they had actual canon material in them.

Anime = manga + fillers + long power-ups
Manga = anime - fillers - long power-ups

I still don't get it. How can this be the anime minus the fillers and not be the manga?

Did it show him annihilating an entire Galaxy in a blast? For all we know, it might have been systematical. Just saying.

Either way, that's not beyond Thor to absorb or defend against.

Hell, Thor's tanked shit on that level if we look at his higher end showings.

Edit: Based on these viedos, I'd say he just systematically wiped out life.

cause the fillers are time fillers and not part of the story.

remember the fake namek saga? that was complete and utter filler to distance the lead up to the legitimate namek saga still being written and drawn by akira toriyama.

the animated teams work faster than the original manga writer/artist for obvious reasons, so the animators create time fillers to give the manga writers a break

what does Broly have to with Vegeta beating Thor?

Which does take away some good feats like SSJ3 Goku basically shaking the universe while powering up.

But yeah, the manga parts of the anime are still valid. It's a thin line though, since there's some things that can't be measured in the manga, like how long it takes Roshi's attack to reach the moon...

Again, using his vastly underrated hand to hand reflexes, or using Mjolnir to tag Vegeta as it homes in once it's thrown. Or by using omni-directional attacks. Or by slowing Vegeta down with his phenomenal weather manipulation powers. You've seen how people's auras can shake the battlefield and summon gusts of winds which can send the Z Fighters flying? Thor does the same shit as he beats the crap out of him.

I don't see how Vegeta wins here when Thor can literally counter everything of note.

It pretty much comes down to another Superman vs Thor argument.

One either believes Thor can respond to a blitz, or they don't.
