Who's durability is greater? BA or Thor?

At least you acknowledge that World War 3 was in actuality a good showing for Adam's rage and will, and not his power level.

Meh, Thor's withstood attacks from beings far above Thanos level in power.

Issue number? You aren't too great with context. No offense.

I recall an interaction but I'm too lazy to dig.

Issue number to what?

the tesseract bomb thing was really impressive. I doubt Superman could handle it. But to me it wasn't a durability feat as he was afected but something that showed how hard to kill he is.

I don't doubt that Marvel or Adam are somewhat more durable than Thor but saying they are by a great ammount is wrong IMO

When Superman switched bodies with Cap, he commented on how more powerful he was or something.

The Onimar interaction. You said he was punched through a mountain etc.

I'd like to see it. Not because it sounds particularly impressive, but because I'm curious.

Or something.

And Superman did have an orgasm from holding Mjolnir. We all saw that tiny little bulge in his red speedos.

I think it was issue 23. His first appearance. All I remember was that he was very large, punched Adam far away, crushed him with his foot, and sent him flying. Adam still got up to fight.

Face it people, Thor's a bonafide Cosmic Being.

Well, Superman flipping out about how Marvel is awesome makes sense. From a euphoric stand point, you'd probably get more of a kick out of being Shazam-ified than being a Kryptonian.

Here is the foot crushing example.

Oh, that's the issue your talking about. When they went to Thanagar right? I keep forgetting that was Onimar for some reason. I have his new look stuck in my mind.

These are most of the scenes right?

Thanks to K-M.

Decent enough I guess, but hardly impressive when we look at Thor's higher showings.

lol

I'd rather be Captain Marvel.

Meh, if I was put in the DC Universe, I'd pick being Superman over Captain Marvel in a heartbeat. Somewhere other than DC or in the real world, it's reversed.

It's hard for you to give any credit to Adam or Cap, huh? 😉

Synn is a very powerful being and I don't deny that Thor has had some good showings, but don't forget he has some low ones too. Everyone does. Hell, Superman has taken on cosmic beings and gods all the time, yet I still give the durability edge to Cap or Adam.

😕

I give credit where credit is due. I'm simply being honest. If I posted Thor's higher end showings, that scene with Onimar would hardly look impressive.

It is a decent enough showing like I said. He was knocked from the planet and on to a moon. It's worth mentioning, but that's all it's worth in a thread like this.

Well, that's a pretty weak argument in itself. I'm not going to claim Thor is more durable than a character simply because he takes on Gods and Cosmic Beings. It's due to the status and power of the said Cosmic Beings that I place Thor where I do.

Debatable. Overall they would be more durable, no magic or Kryptonite weakness. But if I had to pick someone to tank an energy blast or a punch on the chin, I'd pick Superman over Marvel.

When it gets tough, Superman and Thor seem to excel above their peers.

I'd defo pick Cap over Supes....overall I'd be Jozz or Hal...😛

Than post some scans of Thor's durability without the hammer.

Remember, Cap and Adam were the original invulnerable beings that hardly anything could harm them. Fawcett years and PC has shown this. If anything, history is on the side of the Marvel family. Not Superman's.

if a scan battle is about to start maybe you can take it to the battlezone...just saying...
however pre-crisis Marvels were something like Juggeraut

Marvel did survive getting turned inside out as well.

This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I was thinking about when I made my Adam vs Nefaria thread!

On CBR, there was a lot of crowing about how Nefaria took buildings piling on top of him, and it was from intelligent posters who knew about feats like this one here, and other crazy feats.

Makes me wonder if there's some kind of nostalgic element to the love Nefaria seems to get on all the boards. I mean, he was impressive, but you'd think he's Pre Crisis Superman the way he's regarded. (And I swear, one consistantly good poster even called him Pre Crisis Superman in Marvel.)
