In fact, put Hewhoknowsall on ignore if he really bothers you.

And Lettum, please don't post comments like that.

Stay on topic, everyone, or there'll be warnings. You can thank OFM.

It's not like that cat died from it or anything.

Not immediately...

You STILL haven't shown how the Romans could possibly put 1.4 million troops in one battle using ancient technology.

You STILL haven't shown how the Romans will be able to do anything if the Jedi simply retreat (and Jedi are faster than Romans by a LOT) and attack again, possibly at night and/or from far away with snipers.

These two points pretty much destroy your entire argument, which lies on the idea that the Jedi would stand there in one place without using any tactics while the Romans somehow assemble, feed and coordinate a huge army and surround them. Even then, the Jedi may still win.

As soon as the Jedi use (gasp!) tactics, your argument falls to pieces.

Get it? You yourself admitted that the Jedi will win if they attack like covert spies, which they are allowed to and capable of doing. You say that the Romans will only win if they attack at once and the Jedi for some reason fight them in some big battle, which is virtually impossible. You don't think so (although you, after several pages, have responded to almost everything except for this one point) because you don't understand how important logistics are.

Therefore, the only situation in which the Romans have a chance (by your own admission) is a virtually impossible situation.

Therefore, the Jedi win.

I called it.

You made a thread against the rules and you openly admit one side would win. Why?

Why aren't you closing this??

Star Wars Versus Forums rules:

1. There are LOTS of examples in which the thread starter would take a side. It's fairly common.
2. If it was clearly a spite thread and Earth is favored, why did the majority side with the Empire and mocked me when I sided with Earth?

BTW, the Jedi win. Easily. The Roman Empire simply lacks the technology to put up a fight. The Romans would be using tactics that would be horribly outdated when going up against the Jedi, who would wtf omg pwn any Roman army that encounters them.

1. Stop dodging the point: You made a thread against the rules. Explain.
2. Give examples of other people taking a side like you do.

1. How was it against the rules? BTW you made a Batman vs Boba Fett thread Mr. Hypocrite.
2. That doesn't have much to do with my second point.

Also:

I said early on in the thread that you made a spite one because you knew for sure one side would win, but you said that it is normal to do that. If you want I can give sources. And I can also give sources of how you didn't want to let the thread die.

WTF? This is quite clearly a lie and twisting of facts.

How is it against the rules? Really? Are you really asking this? Try reading this: da rulez.
You don't even know why I made the Batman vs Boba Fett thread, do you, idiot? Think about it for a minute.

You still haven't given an example of someone else doing the same as you did. Trying to avoid it?

My God, did HWKS just deflect blame back at someone else? First time for everything, I suppose.

What? You're claiming that you made that thread as a mock thread? That's no excuse for breaking the rules Mr. Hypocrite.

Also, there's no excuse to blatantly twisting my statement in that thread.

Why do you never answer anything?

Third time I ask for an example of someone else doing the same as you did. Don't say stuff you can't support.

I made a mock thread to show that these threads aren't getting closed. Now what is your excuse for making threads that are supposed to be closed?

If someone steals something, it's not ok to steal something from the same store to "mock" that thief.

I made a thread that's "supposed to be closed", yet your online buddies as well as you yourself make threads that are not only supposed to be closed, but are also pointless as well, such as those Darth Bandon thread.

At least my threads are rational and debatable, whereas yours are completely irrelevant and hypocritical.

I'll also ask you again. Why did you before outright lie and say that I said early on that it's normal to make spite threads?

Ok, so my answer to your question is that I make threads that might not be with the rules but are still good threads that can be debated. Please answer:

In that Empire vs Earth thread, I argued for Earth and almost everyone else argued for Empire.
They mocked me for arguing for Earth.
Eventually they said "oh Earth wins because you gimped it".
However, I "gimped" it from the start in the OP, so why did you guys argue for the Empire?
If you didn't notice that it was a spite, then isn't that your fault? Doesn't that debate count as a win for me? You guys lost and tried to cover it up by blaming me for making a spite thread, but it's your fault that you didn't notice it.

I wasn’t mocking, I was merely testing that same store’s security, see if I would get caught. Apparently it’s alright to steal.

So you’re saying that because we steal, you are also allowed to?

I have started two threads in my two years here… One was completely according to the rules, and the second (Boba Vs Batman) could actually go either way, while yours (more than one) are biased to one side, namely the side you decide to fully support.

Fine, this is what I said:

A) ”I said early on in the thread that you made a spite one because you knew for sure one side would win,”
B) ”but you said that it is normal to do that.”

The example of B (you saying it is normal to make a thread when you know for sure one side would win.)

Generally, when people take a side in a debate, they're positive that their side would win.

To which I responded:

I thought that generally, when people start a versus debate they made it because they don't really know for sure which side would win so they call on other people's opinions for this.

Now you STILL haven’t given me examples (even though you said LOTS of people do the same) of other people actually doing this.

Good, so you finally admit your threads are against the rules. Let this be noted. Now, if you really thought this would be a good thread, why are you also admitting that the Romans don’t stand a chance. I mean, that is not the definition of a good thread is it?

That doesn’t have anything to do with this thread or the fact that your Earth vs Empire thread was against the rules. Also, you’re saying that “we guys lost”, even though I didn’t even debate in it and you started the thread. Original Posters aren’t supposed to blatantly choose a side in the FIRST post of the thread:

This might seem like an easy win for the empire, but let's look at it.

Our toops would FAR outnumber them.

Our toops seem to be more accurate (stormtroopers couldn't hit Han Solo at close range), our guns have a faster rate of fire (blasters don't seem to fire at that fast of a rate), our armor actually does something (although it wouldn't really help vs. the blasters since they're heat), and our soldiers are overall better trained (a squad of stormtoopers w/rifles and armorcan't beat a smuggler, a princess and a farmboy w/ pistols)

Their AT STs actually got knocked back by a catapult 😆 and got tripped by a stone age trap.

We could just use the same tactic as the snowspeeders. Or...

NUKES

Vader is powerful, and would certainly help in a small skirmish, but come on. In a huge war, one man that's powerful doesn't really help that much unless if he's superman or something; the jedi aren't really all that helpful (in the clone wars) IN TERMS of just head on fighting because there's only 10,000 of them.

Slash, there's a reason half of us have put him on Ignore. You're finally experiencing that reason.

Thing is, I'm not really annoyed by him. He's just fun to toy with.

See I thought that too at first. He gets to you eventually though. I think I became frustrated at his complete lack of ability to learn.

Yes, yes, strike him down, and the circle will be complete.

I thought you were dead and/or dieing.

Im not posting very much at all. not going to debate or spend hours at a time on here anymore.

W.T.F.?

You're admitting that you are intentionally breaking the rules simply to test Rex.

Basically:

Me: Making threads that skim the rules but that are reasonable and logical.

You (and others): Making threads that skim the rules and that are irrelevant and often insulting.

Can we finish that debate? Or answer this one question:

Explain why you think that Rome has the logistical capabilities to gather 1.4 million troops into one place.

Ah really? That's all you have to say? You should learn to read more than just the very first part of a post...

Not just Rex (it's not fair to put all responsibility on him alone). I was just testing if any mod would notice that the thread was against the rules. But I was doing it with a match up that could go either way, which you don't do.

I could just answer you by quoting the rest of my post:

In other words: this thread of YOURS isn't reasonable and logical while my thread was relevant and not insulting. Also, involving others is clearly an act of desperation because you know you're wrong.

Now I expect a decent respond of you instead of answering just 10% with something that I already responded to.
