STAR WARS: RETROSPECTON- Song of Remembrance

Balto's initial slash misses you when you slip to one side. But he pulls back just in time, so that your blades only crash into his. He lets them go with the momentum of your swing and twirls them about to pin your lightsabers into the ground. A swift club to the face from the pommel of one saber sends you back this time.

Rah to attack!

To keep Balto close he leaves his blades apparently pinned down. Rah then twists the handle to separate the blades. Leaving the lower blade pinned to mislead Balto, using strength he swings the upper blade down at his shoulders to cleave him in two.

Rah tries to get complicated on a power blow! Balto is able to slip out of the way and kick Rah straight in the mouth, not quite falling for the ruse.

Balto is coming at you now, to follow up on his kick to your jaw. He drives his lightsabers toward your middle, trying to split your ribcage open.

With his amazing 'normal' dexterity Rah twists out of the way letting Baltos blade slide past him causing him to over reach, he then drives his shoulder into Baltos ribs knocking him off balance. This is followed through with both blades whirling, one high, the other low.

You execute your retaliation smoothly. Balto only just counters your high-low whirling, bringing his blades vertical just in time to deflect your own. There is a cacophony of lightsabers clashing as you keep whirling toward him, having broken his offensive.

Match point. Rah to attack!

Taking advantage of Balto's slightly weakened position Rah, using 'strong' strength, pounds at Balto relentlessly with both sabres, one hammering after the other.

Balto may be nearly your equal in terms of swordplay, but brute strength is something he can't match. You smash your lightsabers down on him until you succeed in knocking one of his blades away and forcing him to the ground...

Match to Rah! He has defeated Balto.

"What will you do now?" Balto asks. He is furious and gasping for breath.

Rah scissors his blades across Balto's throat almost to the point of searing the flesh and sneering down at him says "He's your boy Hajid! What's it to be?"

While he waits for the answer he sings menacingly

Just a puppet, just a toy,
A bit of talent but still a boy.
Kill you now, nice and quick,
Blood flowing nice and slick!
Or leave you damaged but alive,
To brood revenge in your hive?
Till you get me another day,
Or kill you now, better that way!

Without taking his eyes of Balto he asks again "Well then, what's it to be?"

Hajid is applauding enthusiastically.

"Bravo!" Hajid says. "You have done well, Rah! But spare the boy. He still has much to learn."

With a nifty flourish Rah flicks his blades away, locks them together and hooks it to his belt. He then smiles and holds his hand out to Balto to help him to his feet "You have talent and maybe one day you'll take me but not for a while because soon I'll have all my memories back and will be even more powerful!"

After helping Balto up he saunters over to Hajid "Now what delights have you for me?"

Balto refuses to take your hand and slowly gets to his feet. He stops off into one of the adjoining caverns.

"Actually, Rah," Hajid says, "the delights will be coming from you. But not yet. Your mind is not quite ready to reclaim everything that it lost. To pressure you now to remember further... it is unsafe."

Rah shrugs "Okay, what next then?"

"I will plan our next step," Thajkon says. "You will rest and be ready."

Thajkon retreats into a side cavern himself.

"What do you make of him?" Takuan asks. He was quiet during the duel.

"hmm, not sure. I'm still reeling a bit from these new found memories!" He watches Thajkon leave "I suspect he is someone I should respect because he is dangerous..." He looks up and grins humorously "Maybe I'll have to kill him one day, hahaha! Now where can folk get a drink around here, that fights left me dry"

Takuan sighs.

"I know a bar two systems over that we can go to..." Takuan says. "Come on..."

And with that... Toolok Rah has been initiated into Hajid Thajkon's gang! He is unaware of what Thajkon needs from him, but Rah is recovering his memories and maybe something will come to him before Thajkon makes it clear...

And Rah gets 2xp!

I hope this has been helpful for integrating you into the new system! Rah fights a little recklessly when it comes to his lightsaber, lacking any solid defensive Schticks. Something to think about...

You also need to consider the crowd you've fallen in with.
