Ip Man vs Huo Yuanjia

Alt. title: Donnie Yen vs Jet Li.

Ip Man - the grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu, and teacher to Bruce Lee.

Huo Yuanjia - founder of the Jingwu Federation, defender of China's honor.

Both are the best in what they do, which is kicking ass, taking names and cashing checks. So...what would happen if these two icons decide to throw down in a battle to the finish?

Who would be the last man standing?

Unarmed combat I assume?

I'd say Ip Man, his defenses were impenetrable.

Ip Man would beat the crap out of him.

You're both idiots. Huo Yuanjia won the world martial arts tournament and was himself the master of a highly complex and effective system of combat.

He'd kill Yip Man after a brief exchange.

Well....he only fought a few people. None of them particularly impressive...and he only won because the japanese guy let him. I'm not saying he wouldn't have won if he hadn't been poisoned, but the fact is it was a pity win.

Ip Man beat the best fighters Japan had to offer, including that general guy, who was regarded as the best fighter in all of Japan.

He even beat that savage guy with the sword...with nothing but a cane.

Ip Man doesn't get touched unless he wants to get touched.

Then again, so is alot of Huo's. But he didn't just fight a few people. He literally fought hundreds through out his life.

Neither of us has seen these people fight personally, but in my opinion I'd go with Huo.

Huo looks faster.

I don't think so, but whether he looks faster or not, Ip will do the same thing to him as everyone else...dodge, counter, block...then punch him to death.

Probably. Huo showed some impressive damage soak though, and looked far more agile.

Young Huo would probably lose. Older Huo? I'd give him the edge.

Ip also showed knowledge of pressure points....he slowed that traveler guy down and he couldn't use his sword arm anymore after he stabbed him with the duster.
