Something else for new lvl 30 toons, you can basically buy pvp gear tier .05 to get your combat rating to 36 quickly to help with your dailies.Buy the best pvp weapon you can find then get the rest pve from your respective vendor/mentor and that should be you at 34-36.

I'm going to start adding people tomorrow, as a little birdie told me that to get the aquaman trident, the mission has to be taken up by someone who has staffs as a fighting style, and you can get it as a mission reward.
im only level 8 with my gl, so i'll keep trying tomorrow. ive been very impressed with the powers so far.

Apparently you also have to be a healer to use the staff.

And I think I figured out how to get it.
One one of the forums someone said that to get the staff, you have to pick up the Aquaman mission AS A STAFF USER. And that this is a common occurence in the game. So I tested it yesterday with my Nightwing character, being a dual wielder and doing the bane mission. At the end, I got these:
Those are the official Nightwing sticks.
So yeah, that's how it is. If someone can help me, I'll pay for their respec to staffs (though you'd need to be premum to accept trades). Failing that, I'll help someone out on whatever mission(s) they want as payment, and I'll pass on any loot too.

Though admittedly, this is the first time i've gotten the sticks, and i've done that mission several times.
