To be fair Kuvira's evilness, if you can call it that, was telegraphed in the beginning of the season with her strong-arming villages and general pettiness. She's hot though 😐
She was set up as a strong arm authoritarian who was actually doing good things and getting shit done, but takings thing too far. But like all the previous LoK villains they introduce the possibilities of complexities and villains who had something of a good point and then just kept piling on the evil so Korra can just punch them until the bad guy goes away.
Compared to TLA, which introduced a cartoonishly evil Fire Nation of stormtroopers and evil overlord and then fleshed it out into a believable and complex society of propaganda and imperialism.

About that, Kuvira was kind of introduced as evil from the get-go and it was only a matter of time before here evil nature was laid bare. Though she did look good for all the points you made and the fact that Avatar politics general suck ass. Also unlike Amon or Zaheer( because **** Unaloq), Kuvira's good intentions never really made her cause come off as a good: even before the evil. Granted she's not on a witch hunt for political leaders so I'll give her that over Zaheer.
Looking back Amon was probably the most benign antagonist the series had: prior to the whole revolution thing.

I didn't quite buy the Asami/Korra love connection everyone seemed to be throwing out there in the beginning, but I'm beginning to suspect you guys were right.

Exactly those things. Plus sending Asami a note instead of the guys and her not really having an answer as to why - just seems like a bunch of small things that are starting to add up.

Wasn't the buttrage of the Naruto shippers enough? But I do think Toph should loose if a fight breaks out.
Nah. Mostly cause they were partially correct. Naruto should have gotten with a certain other team 7 that knows how to compliment a cock.
Toph on the other hand should lose to up the stakes, shock the fans, and build up dislike towards Kuvira.
