F*cking Neph figured out who Amon is. Bastard.

What? When?

For my next trick, I deduce that Zuko's Mother was found to really be....

JUNE!

OH MY ****ING GOD MAI STOP MAKING OUT WITH YOUR MOTHER-IN-LAW!

Also Amon wears a mask because Koh stole his face.

Lulz, even as a 6 year old, Korra is more awesome than most.

Also, Tenzin >>> Aang. Badass Beard & J.K. Simmons make it so.

6 year old Korra vs 3 year old Hanabi. vin

2 year old Sasuke wins. innuendur

Also, (statue of) adult Toph was hawt.

adult Toph was probably beastly as a bender.

Toph was a beastly bender at the age of 12, who could actually rival Bumi, the strongest Earth bender in the world. As an adult? Jesus. haermm

A much better metal bender than those cops, and likely a stronger Earth Bender than Bumi was at 112? Yeah, uber beastly.

To be fair, even Zuko and Katara would have been beastly as adults. I can imagine Katara controlling n00bs without the Full Moon, while Zuko bended Lightning and multi-coloured fire. vin

The entire gang likely surpassed their personal mentors.

I hope we get some flashbacks.

Yeah. Wonder what kind of shit Aang could do. Dude must have been crazy powerful even without the Avatar State.

Aang was essentially at the apex of each Bending type towards the end of the series, without the Avatar state.

Able to fight evenly with people like Zuko, Azula, Ozai, Toph, etc.. Arguably the best in their fields.

If he kept training and got more powerful as he got older, he easily would have been the most powerful Bender ever shown in the series.

dunno if I'd say he was on par with Ozai; though Ozai's superiority could be partly attributed to the comet... but at the same time, Aang was also under the comet.hm

Aang in my opinion had the potential to be on par with Ozai, but he didn't demonstrate it. Basically he caved under the pressure and just went on the defensive until he went Avatar State.

And Sokka was a pretty good swordsman, Neph. There's no reason he eventually couldn't have matched our outclassed Piandao, especially if he got his sword back.

Nah, he wasn't.
If you're looking at end of series Aang solely as a Water-bender, then he wasn't on par with Katara. Neither was he on par with Zuko and Azula solely as a Fire-bender, or with Toph as an Earth-bender.
Katara could control people as puppets when the Moon was out.
Toph could bend Metal, and her Earth-bending feats as well as that of Bumi's, are > Aang's iirc.
Aang had barely mastered Fire by the time the series ended, so he couldn't have been on par with a well-experienced Fire-bending master like Azula or Zuko, much less Iroh, who could create Lightning and return it as well and was easily one of the top two Fire-benders at the time.

Yeah. He likely mastered Metal-bending and might have mastered the ability to create Lightning. Dude could also energy-bend. Who knows what kind of shit he could do with it. Though he did die relatively young.

Episode two is out.

Liked the development of the relationship between Korra and Tenzin. I like both characters. Tenzin's eldest daughter is also kewl.

Spoiler:
There is a new sport that involves bending, which is leet shit I guess.

I dislike Milo, Tenzin's youngest child, mostly on design. And I dislike Mako...which is really sad since he is named after a dead gai. I do not look forward to him being the main love interest.

I lol'd when Tenzin cheered for Korra. Clearly an Airbender in there.
Was quite surprised when Tenzin said personality is what determines the opposite bending art. Makes sense that Korra wouldn't be able to Airbend. She has more of a Fire/Earth bender type personality.

Milo looks like a Rugrat. Meh. Also, Mako's okay. Zuko's better, but meh.

The personality actually makes sense. The reason Aang had so much trouble with Earthbending was because it required him to stand his ground and face his problems/opponents head on. He'd been literally raised on Airbender philosophy, non-violence, working around obstacle, etc..

Korra is the exact opposite.
