I don't think they're mutually exclusive in the diagnostic sense, but this is out of my bailiwick. On an unrelated note, it is my great hope that BvS will do for Man of Steel what Book 3 did for Book 2: draw a compelling premise from something of a trainwreck.
Azula? She has a conscience that she keeps hidden and her self-worth is entirely dependent on someone else's approval, and is indeed capable of some amount of empathy for those she sort of likes (Ty Lee, for example).
A true sociopath would have plotted to kill Ozai after being shamed like that.
Originally posted by Sacred 117Gee, I don't know, could it be Bolin falling in love with an abusive partner (Do you think that plot would have flown if instead of Bolin and Eska it were Bolina and Desna?)? Could it have been said abusive partner and her brother being complete karma houdinis for their actions? Could it have been the one-dimensional cartoon villain without anything resembling a believable motive or charisma that was Unalaq? Could it have been the massive idiot balls Asami, Lin, and possibly more had to carry around so that Mako would look good?
It's been a while since I've actually seen it, but what exactly makes Book 2 such a "trainwreck"?
There's more. I'm sure you can dig up an older post by me talking about it at least. I believe I referred to it as "avant-garde" in its badness.

What was the best episode/moment of the season?

I kinda hope that for the next book the villain is a woman. Not for any feminist reason, but because Korra's been attacked by, captured and put into vaguely rapey situations by older men like 4 times in under a year. No wonder she's got some PTSD going.
Oh and did Republic City ever get around resolving the problems with the vines?

It's that kind of thinking that brought you Kaguya.I have no idea what kind of villain they could bring in. Super benders, non-benders, and spirits have all been used lol.
Shadowbenders! uhuh
Nah. I honestly don't think they would work with fanfic material, and they're better off for it. [csm]haermm[csm]
I'm just as curious as you.

Korra's health stays hindered all season, being able to move again halfway through but having to retrain her body by going through the basics of bending for all four elements. Meanwhile,
Spoiler:Korra then takes Mako and Asami as life partners and the three of them spend the peaceful years on Ember Island, courtesy of Firelord Zuko.
the Earth Queen rallies a spirit army from beyond the grave to get revenge on Zaheer, and the Air Nation has to defend him. Tenzin dies during the siege, and his spirit restores the link beween Korra and Avatar Aang, which gives her body the boost it needs to recover fully and let her confront the new Spirit Queen.
