Spoiler:
Jinora the new protagonist?
Don't know what your problem is. We agree on everything except Zaheer's ending. You need to calm the f**k down.

I wasn't calling you a shithead, I was speaking as if I was talking to Zaheer. I enjoyed how he was taken out by a group of people working in harmony. He was beaten physically and philosophically in a way.
She was heavily mentally damaged, but that doesn't mean she wasn't psychotic. She clearly was even in the end of TLA. She thought everyone was out to get her, cut her hair off, etc, etc... She was wacky. Hell when they were kids she had psychotic, sadistic, and manipulative tendencies. She was never well, and without her mom to curb her more insane actions, she got worse. By the time she was older, she was batshit.
Best finale in the series and best season too I'd say. Including TLA. Everything was great. No stupid ass DEM's, no horrible shipping moments, best action scenes in the series to date, most horrific demises too.
The Avatar State is a little bit of an asspull but given the way every other finale ended this is by FAR the less egregious. Asami doing jack shit is annoying but I didn't even notice it until seeing her which is a huge contrast form book two.
However I feel like they could have stretched this season out longer seeing as the villains are so epic but have very little backstory. I don't want to seem like I'm complaining though because this was some top notch stuff here.

Oh. In that case, my bad. 😮 Some quotes would have helped. Lol. Regardless, you have my apologies. Please, except them.
That's kinda what threw me about it, actually. Just like Ozai, he was not only thwarted and captured (again), but he was also comically embarrassed by the comic relief character.
I guess the upside is that we might see Zaheer again, so long as him possibly breaking out (again) isn't essentially an 'I told you so' to the plot.

I agree with this. They've been notorious about not showing you anything about peoples past. You know nothing of the Red Lotus aside from what they say and that they were all imprisoned.
We still don't even get to see Sokka or Toph or anything like that.

I dunno, my impression wasSpoiler:
they were basically bullshitting about her looking better to make her not feel so shit. The presentation and Korra crying at the end really made me think it was going to last for a long time. I'd count on an episode or two at least about Korra recovering.

Semi-Suicide? It's straight up retaliatory murder. That's how Sokka killed Combustion Man as well. Hit his 3rd eye right as he was about to attack. It's the same for P'li, except instead of her body being blown apart, just her head got pulped. She was surrounded by water...why wouldn't he use it?
Zaheer only knew about Flight/Weightlessness because he was a devout follower of Guru Laghima's teachings. Aang was 12 when he left the Air Nation, so there's a good chance he never learned. Also he was never in a circumstance like Zaheer where he'd need to attempt it at the risk of his life.
Jinora has always been level headed and leadership material. Also as the most senior Airbender after her father who was in no condition to do anything, it makes sense. It was also common sense for someone used to the culture.
Ghazan lost only because Mako caught him off guard. If he'd decided to fight, he still could have potentially come away the victor, but he tried to kill all of them instead.
He didn't shit himself because unlike Ozai, Zaheer had been fighting personally for his beliefs the entire time. Also he knew it was only a matter of time before the posion made her too weak to fight and killed her even if he couldn't. He was ready to die to bring about the new world. Ozai sat in his throne room, and the entire series he only fought 3 times. And the two times he fought Zuko couldn't even be considered that. The first time he gave him the scar and Zuko refused to fight. The second time Zuko redirected his lightning and Ozai ran off.
He'd never faced anyone as ferocious and powerful as Aang. Even then he was winning for like the first half of the fight.
I get the impression that you and Nemebro think my points are complaints. Other than Ghazan, nothing in my post was an actual complaint but rather some things that I noticed: or in the case of P'li didn't really notice.
I'll just take your word for P'li's death since I really didn't give it that much thought to begin with.
I didn't think it was weird he used it but rather he didn't use it sooner. Also he did suprisingly well against her even before that happened which is kind of weird since she crushed him during their first encounter: I guess either lack of available water on Ming Hua's part or the writers decided to jerk off Mako again 😄. I made a smilie to signify an informal post this time guys 😐
I understand why Aang at base wouldn't suddenly take off like Superman after unlocking his chakras but I'm curious as to why Yangchen spout out stuff about duty to the world even though letting go of earthly attachments unlocks the chakra that allow the avatar to control the Avatar State as subsequently fly while in it. So I curious as to how none of the past Avatar were able to zip around Superman style.
I still stand by Jinora having digi-volved into Jesus Christ considering she made a plan to escape captivity, organized the airbenders to defeat Zaheer, and using astral projection abilities to a degree even better than Aang to find out where Korra was and how to save her from the poison. She leveled up from being a sharp kid to having the mind of a friggin sage: Either that or the adults in her live are less intuitive than I give them credit for. 🙂
Now to address the actual gripe I had with the finale. Ghazan was solidly a superior bender to both brothers even with Bolin's new skill. Also it wasn't Bolin that got Ghazan on the defensive but Mako who somehow was able to overpower one of his earthbending throws.
I'll agree with you on the point about why Zaheer didn't shit himself. But the point I tried, and I guess failed, to get across was that Zaheer>>comet amped Ozai because Zaheer didn't shit himself. And while Aang's Avatar State was more powerful at the time, both Zaheer and Ozai were faced with a fully realized Avatar: with Zaheer actually managing to tag one even before the poison started to seriously affect her performance. Considering the track record of previous non-avatar people that have had to face that power Zaheer did beyond expected which makes Ozai look kind of lame in comparison.
A narcissist with self-esteem issues too, just for extra instability.

Maybe, but she was still capable of empathy, sadness, emotional connections and that sort of thing. I just think it's too dismissive to simply call her a psycho like she's some movie slasher when it's clear that she's as much a victim of her disorders as anyone else.
NemeBro
She's not a sociopath. She's a narcissist.
On an unrelated note, it is my great hope that BvS will do for Man of Steel what Book 3 did for Book 2: draw a compelling premise from something of a trainwreck.
