I didnt like the Yellow Jacket episode tbh maybe cause im not familliar with the character enough. His insanity or whatever that was seemed weird and random to me.
Pym was always a little insane. But learnt to harness it. Even recent Scientist Supreme Hank is so insane he can balance himself to control the level of intellect required to retain his progress.-
-His famous attack on his wife showcased this.
-He created Ultron.
-Mastered his Pym particles.
-His almost schizophrenic identity changes.
-His ability to handle existing in the Oververse amongst Abstract beings whilst those he took along lose their minds.
-His Dr Who style heroism.
YellowJacket in this episode was but a step in his forward motion towards in psychologically dealing with his sense of purpose. Extreme but forward.

Pym is crazy, but he's a crazy functional genius. That's part of what sets him aside from other heroic geniuses. Seriously, the guy proved some weird particles in himself when he became a hero, not even Stark and Richards became heroes on propose.
As stated in comics Pym is the Scientist Supreme. When Pym stated that Stark and Reed were more worthy. He was told Stark was the Engineer and Reed the Explorer. All that nonsense about Loki possibly manipulating Pym personally is thrown out of the window due to Pym's later feats. Not only did Pym take on two of the Serpent's Heralds, he also perceived Loki eventually becoming a hero. Pym knew Loki was due to become a hero and everybody in a hateful manner laughed him off and pretty much kicked him out of the Avengers on probation. And within a few months Loki sacrificed himself and re-birthed himself as a child hero. Pym knows more than the Asgardians and the Earth heroes combined!!!!
Pym is a pioneer. No doubt. He took on two of the Worthy alone. And his students held them at bay whilst inside his own creation, the Infinite Mansion.
He kicked ass during his realisation of his new mantle defeating Cthon, and single handedly defeating a Cosmic Cube powered Absorbing Man.
Pym deserves more respect and thankfuly he does receive it to a degree in the comic universe. It doesn't surprise me that the readers don't see it.
He's the Black Sheep of the Original Avengers team, even more than the Hulk.
The season was good with what they had to work with. Trying to sqeeze in as much they could before getting canceled. A lot of loose ends left unfortunately but it looks like they did the best they could.
Also Dr. Doom looked like an absolute beast. Treated as he should be during his appearances.
Spoiler:
The episode with the destroyer though....Hawkeye tanking the destroyers disintegration beam? And Captain America was spinning it's head around by hitting it with a wrench WITHOUT the SSS even 😂

Yeah I knew as soon as the heroes lost their powers that they're going to seriously downplay the Destroyer.
But except for the odd thing like that I loved the season. And I love the series. It's one of the best superhero animations.
Shame they didn't finish the Surtur story. Could have had him as the big threat in the last episode instead of introducing Galactus right at the end.

Yeah it was pretty good in general. I'll miss it for sure.
They left us hanging big time with Surtur. At the beginning of the season, Maria Hill was also hinting at a Civil War type scenario. Plus a mention of the Shi'ar by the supreme intelligence was suggesting an appearance from Gladiator. Lots of stuff that could have been done. Maybe by some miracle we'll get a 3rd season.

The whole deal with Pym is that he cannot mantain a solo book while every other founding Avenger gets to do exactly that. He's not even the next in line as a viable solo Avenger, there are Hawkeye, Black Panther and Herc among the "classic Avengers", and even the Vision, Carol or Wonderman sound better to deal with them alone.
Sadly I think Pym is at his best with Janet, he has that Reed Richards quality that makes him work the best on teams, but not enough to feature their own adventures.

Wasp era Mighty Avengers Pym was close to having the potential of having his own solo book. But the writers dragged him back down again. He couldv'e become the Dr Who of the MArvel Universe.
I'm thankful for Avengers Academy though. It's practically my fav Marvel title since GotG. But recently it's been falling into the traps the wider universe force them into. Shitty major events and such.

They touched on a few things which we didn't see. But to be fair they didn't leave us with a huge and blatant cliffhanger like other cancelled shows did- Spectacular Spiderman and Wolverine & The X-Men come to mind.
So I am grateful to them to have made a classic series which is worth watching from beginning to end. Without the "what kind of ending was that?" or "they can't end it on such a huge cliffhanger!!!"

an episode of just thor vs gladiator (to suggest what a throw down with superman would be like) would of been awesome.
Just imagine the rest of the team admit they are useless and Gladiator has BFR'd hulk to the other side of planet and blitzed IM leaving Thor who is the best candidate to fight him.

I kinda liked the spidey episode. Mostly for Captain America's moments in it though.
I liked the SM episode too, due to the CA moments and the SM feat in the end.

it really would. a good 2-3 minute throw down between the two ending with Thor all bruised up but being the last one standing would be amazing.
Captain America had a lot of good moments this season. None of his speeches sounded corny to me either. It was all just awesome from lol.

I liked the Spidey and New Avengers episode.. That was cool
another little detail I liked about the New Avengers' episode was that Wolverine was allowed to kill the dinosaurs with his claws. We didn't get to see him stab them but it's still better than X-men evolution Wolverine who was only allowed to use them on inanimate objects and the occasional sentinel robot.
