he probably would have if it hadn't been for Akisame. though I'm still surprised they were even able to grab Kenichi in the first place since he's much stronger than a normal person. unless of course, the guys that tried to kidnap him were stronger than a normal person too.
I believe they were stronger than normal.
However, it looks like it was part of Akisame's plan for Kenichi to get captured so Akisame could find out Shigure's location.
exactly. still, despite how much sense that makes, I would have thought the weapons masters would have a bit more of a showing. as it stands, compared to Ryozanpaku and members of the Nine Fists, none of the weapons masters so far in the series have shown anything truly impressive given how often they seem to lose and so quickly too.

Well, against Ryo masters, most people will look shitty. Against other masters, they would WTF PWN them.
Remember that Weapons master Kenichi went up against on that car? He was able to almost hold his own.

I suppose. but even then, we've yet to see any Ryozanpaku master ever truly have to go all out against any weapons master. only unarmed masters have ever been able to give them trouble of any real kind.
There was that one time that Shigure almost died against Edward Scissor Hands. It was very close and she got slices.
Also, 100-Dan Karate Master (it's more fun to say that) got stabbed in the guts and if it weren't for his ability to move his internal organs, it would have been a stab in the vitals or some shit.
They do get pressured. They are just really good at avoiding death.
exactly. put them up against unarmed masters and watch them withstands who knows what kind of attacks. put them up against weapons masters and they're practically untouchable. though like you pointed out, that Sai guy did nearly beat Shigure and Sakaki did take that one wound too at one point.
and yeah, it was pretty cool, but I had expected the weapons masters to last more than just a chapter and a half.
