I was under the impression that this manga has hinted at her being rdiculously strong for a long time. She casually trolled Sakaki and Shigure from the get go and hasn't had a weak showing since. If she was worthy of fighting with Hayato back in the day, it would only stand to reason that she is crazy strong.
I still haven't backed from my opinion that the top bad guys are way stronger than the top good guys with Hayato being the only exception. Look at Makumo right now. She is probably stronger than any 3-5 people put together currently fighting. Saiga and the other dude look to be above everyone at Ryozanpoku except hayato as well. The only good duys that look to be as strong as their peers are the teenagers lol.
When are the good guys going to unleash some sweet moves to show they are at least in contention?

Same here, though I still have to admire his resiliency; the beating he took from Kajima probably would've done in anyone else around Kenichi's level.
This could be said of pretty much any fight kenichi has been after the Ragnorok arcs though.
I agree it was nice for him to finally do something awesome besides get destroyed by this guy for a change. I thought this was just going to be a rehash of ther fight he had with the bird kid that died.
Shouldn't Kenichi basically be paralyzed now? The last attack like that made him unable to use his arm so this one should really affect him.
Good point.
I suppose that's true, though Shou had been messing around with him at many points, whereas Kajima had been taking him seriously from the get-go.
I thought the same thing, though I guess it's only a temporary thing; it did graze him after all. Though now with the full-body one Kajima pulled at the end...

He developed a Master level ability, one that was only introduced in a flashback in this very chapter, that happens to be the perfect counter for Kajima's own frankly lame ability. It's mad lame, so lame it makes me mad.
I'm okay with it.
Here's why: we know Kenechi has trained a shit ton with the masters, off-screen, and it is a recurring "trope" in this manga: a flash-back that reveals part of his hard work.
I do not feel this is very lazy writing. It is moderately lazy, but not very lazy. It is a less-intelligent method for accomplishing the same thing Kishimoto does in his foreshadowing in Naruto. The crow thing? Very similar with just a slight bit more foreshadowing in it that made the crow thing much more delicious than what Matsuena is doing with Kenechi's flashback power-ups. To further solidify this point that it was plenty foreshadowed and not ass-pulled, for almost a dozen chapters, the chi-ki thing has been discussed/alluded to being key to the fight.
Kenechi is one of the most non seinen ecchi manga's in existance if not THE most ecchi non-seinen manga in existence. If you're expecting high-quality story telling from this manga, you're clearly a dumbass, dumbass.
