He is a herald, but look at how many amps he and his alt or future versions have gotten over. The Sword, Miracle Machine, Cosmic Armor, Superman One Million, Kismet amp, etcHow many amps like that have the people you mentioned gotten? Parallax and RKT are nothing to his amps/power ups.
Connor Kent (ie Superboy) once said something like this "Nobody's perfect... Well, maybe except for Superman." Then I remember one comic where a machine was somehow created that brought out the dark/evil sides of the members of the Justice League. The line-up was Green Arrow, Superman, Batman, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Black Canary. So the machine was effective on every member I listed... Other than you know who. So, Superman created a green robot (the dark JLAers were green) and pretended that the said robot was the dark aspect of himself in order to encourage the JLA to go and defeat their own dark selves (only the real person could harm his/her dark self). Too goody 2 shoes for my taste.
Miracle Machine was a piece of tech he built. He didn't even design the thing.
The Cosmic Armour was just that, Armour. It was no actual amp otherwise, and he lost it soon after.
One Million is an alternate future Superman. It's already been stated that Superman gets more powerful as he gets older. That's common knowledge. It's no cheaper than the other characters who have that same advantage.
The Kismet Amp (if its the one im thinking of) was during OWAW, and was used to destroy Imperiex and protect Superman, who would have died otherwise. It's just armour.
Parallax would shit on almost any Superman.
I don't know how powerful RKT, as I haven't read those Thor books.
Superboy's opinion notwithstanding, plenty of people have called Superman on his faults, including Batman and Wonder Woman. They see him as anything but perfect. J'onn, Lois, his villains obviously, and such, don't think he's perfect.
What about all the times he's been evil/faced dark versions of himself? They outnumber the kinds of examples you've just named.
