Dumbest/flimsiest disguises in comics

Let's just say for starters that Superman's disguise as Clark Kent is the the dumbest disguise in comics.

Who should get the runner up slot?

My money is on the Thing and his attempts at passing for a normal human by wearing a hat and trench coat.

Animal Man
Clock King (original)
Vulture

You got it all wrong! sneer

Superman is the disguise, Clark Kent is who he is. biscuits

And leave Thing alone! Maybe he was dressing up like a private detective...mmm...or a flasher!? durthing

😛

A for costumes/disguises, I'd say: Wolverine's old orange and brown costume, Mr. Terrific's jacket, Green Arrow's Robin Hood outfit, Herc's skirt, the Monitor's hair, Osborne's hair.

Lol.

Never mind Superman. He gets by on the public belief that he wouldn't be down mixing with everyday people, and the use of robotic copies and shape changing stand-ins have given enough of an idea that Clark Kent is someone totally different.

This isn't about bad costumes. It's about bad disguises. So...

Hal Jordan's mask. And others who use that little domino mask - Miss Marvel, Robin, Nightwing, Green Arrow etc. If that's supposed to protect your identity, I don't buy that it would. Also a little pet peeve I had with a great movie like The Incredibles, where the whole family wears them. It's cheesy; only Kyle Rayner had the right idea with the first mask he generated. That covers a lot more of your face.

That reminds me of the TMNT movie where Raphael is running around in that disguise. He rolls over the hood of a taxi during a chase and the passenger goes "What was that?!" and the driver says "Looked like sort of a big turtle... In a trenchcoat."

Most of the people on that list never try to hide their identity. Kind of a puzzling list.

Jade to obvious or does the public know? JSA is very open and loved....

John Byrne, is that you?

Frog Man's.

When Wolverine goes to Madripoor disguised as Patch is brilliant. His hair and facial features are so distinctive, does he really believe that he is perfectly disguised with an eyepatch? If anything, it would draw attention to his face!

The other is Bruce Wayne as Matches Mallone. It's a strecth to think that a international playboy celeb wouldn't be recognised because of a tiny, tiny moustache.

Was it a hitler moustache?

Silk Spectre II. Is a choker with a skull and two S shaped earings going to hide your indentity from anyone?
Maybe the rest of the outfit made sure the eyes were elswhere.

I don't think either of the Silk Spectres ever had a secret identity.

After the singer Anastasia said people couldn't recognise her without her glasses I'm thinking that disguise isn't so bad.

Yes, because she's a compendium of knowledge regarding disguises. dur
