Battlefield 3

Recon is awesome simply for the head shots and learning to compensate for bullet drop and stuff. 410 meters is my longest shot to date. Head shotted 2 counter snipers posted up on top of those storage containers on the railroad. I was on the highest part of the aircraft carrier...don't remember the name of the level.

My god, the recon class sucks. Once you drop the radio beacon there's literally no point in using it.

The only class I ever really play as is the Engineer. I'll play recon long enough to establish a beach-head with radio beacon, and I'll play suppport for defense missions.

Beyond that, engineer is def the best class imo.

Nah, I use Recon alot for covering the MCOM from safe distances, and at the same time work as a spawn point. Normally I'll try and sneak a Radio Beacon into a closed position close to the MCOM, then retreat back after planting a motion sensor, and just wait for my squad to spawn and arm while I cover them. I use recon alot, though I admit that I'm ****ed if a tank comes along, but I kinda like that, that no class can take care of everything, a bit like Sniper could in BFBC2.

They seriously need to change the knife though, I simply can't stand the way it works atm with no kill from it in close combat, unless your opponent is below 33% health.

I haven't played Rush at all.

I find Conquest Large the best. 64 person matches are awesome. Recon is useful to rack up kills and deceive the other team. Everybody goes after the snipers in a match even if there is a ton of people around them. I don't know why, but they do.

Each class is important if the game is being played well.

Better than commando pro.

It's instant kill if you get behind the guy.

I play in a Clan that detest snipers so I have to show them some positive sides 😛

Yes that I know, and I like the animation, what I don't like is that if run into a guy and knife him he just won't die, unless your lucky enough to get behind him, which has so far only happened once for me.

Well, it's just not part of the game.

and i dont like the recoil and the fact the weapon jumps like crazy when you shoot,the lags are horrible because every time it takes me a whole clip to kill someone but when someone shoots me it takes him couple of bullets , i also dont like to run miles over miles until i finally reach the enemy after like 2 minutes of running only to get shot by campers who lie down on the ground in some bush the whole freakin game and then run again couple of miles to reach the enemy and repeat

Well, Battlefield has always been a peculiar kind of game in that the gameplay is polarizing; you'll either love it or you'll ****ing hate it and want it to die. Personally I've always been in the latter camp, but I'm trying really hard to make myself like it this time around.

It is hard, though, what with the useless sniper rifles and the fact that this game is completely hinged on teamwork. There's nothing more frusterating than playing like an absolute beast and doing everything right the entire match, and still losing because your team is a bunch of eight-year olds with no mics.

Like the spawning problem you mentioned. My God, I've spent so much time just humping ass from the default spawn point to the enemies side purely because no one ever sets down a ****ing radio beacon, and all the vehicles are gone because as soon as someone sees a transport they hop in it and drive off instead of waiting for people behind him to get in it.

Say what you want about CoD, but at the very least your success isn't entirely dependent on your teammates being at least semi-competent. I honestly have no idea how my match W/L rate is like 4.0

Hmm, I do agree that BF games can be polarizing.

I don't agree that sniper rifles are useless. I do quite well with them.

The PC version, there isn't a spawning issue with 64 people playing. Maybe I had a problem twice and that's because my team controlled none of the points and my squad were all killed.

Basically, if you want BF3 to be like CoD or smaller shootesr, your wasting your time. If you want a game where it's not solely based on shooting somebody in the face and having crazy shit happen then BF3 would be your thing.

Don't get me wrong, I like CoD MP but comparing both games MP is not something you should do.

I disagree about one thing and that is that Battlefield 3 has more epic crazy shit happening at once than CoD.

BF3 > CoD.

I still like CoD but right now MW looks sad in comparisson.

I do decently well with the sniper rifle as well, but not well enough, lol. I mean, you can "do well" with any class, it all depends on your skills as a gamer. But, I've never seen a sniper make or break a match aside from dropping a radio beacon in just the right place, whereas I've seen engineers and assault players literally carry games to victory. I think the problem stems from the fact that everything you can do with a sniper rifle, you can do better with other guns. The extreme things you can do with a sniper rifle, like headshot someone from 400 meters away, aren't even practical. How does killing 5 people in 60 seconds with headshots from 400 meters help your team any, when there's 24 players and vehicles raining death and shit? TBH, I don't know they can fix that, though.

You hit the nail on the head, in that there's a huge difference between the PC and console versions of this. Simply put, this game works for PC but not for consoles. Having 64 players in one match instead of 24 changes the metagame considerably, and the fact that everyone playing has built in communication (keyboards) vs. the optional mic in consoles, encourages everyone in the game to communicate with each other.

I mean, I'm sure it's different if you're playing a private match or you have friends playing with you, but playing BF3 on the 360, you might as well be playing CoD, just with BF configuations. It's completely chaotic and random, with no team synergy, people spawn camping and sprinting around with the map unchecked with their M4's/74U's, and absolutely zero marking. I'm like the only person on my team who ever marks targets when I see them. sighs. So frusterating.

I don't know bro. Sounds like you have bad luck. I have games where there is no teamwork and I have other games where the teamwork is top notch.

Suppresors are so awesome. I had forgotten how awesome it is sneak by people without having to worry about being detected.

You getting MW3 Blax?

Yep, pretty much. It was designed with the PC players in mind. But as with any game, it's impossible to cater towards mainstream players and hardcore fanatics of the game.

What I love about BF3 multiplayer is that you can do multiple things. One game I sit in one spot as recon and snipe people from afar. Then another, play up close and be an engineer and have a ton of close quarters battles. I like how I can do that in one game. Hell, one game I just sat in a AA gun and shot planes out of the sky. At each time, I got decent to good point total and it doesn't cater towards one style.

As well, I could care less if I win or not. When I was younger I did but I just play the game because it's fun. In CoD or Gears, I get frustrated by dying because it's all about shooting. In BF3, it's all about doing what you want.

It's strange on the PC. People generally spot the player and then try to kill him. I find that team work is done pretty well for pub play. Squads generally stick together and attack points pretty well.

In the end, both games can exist because they primarily do different things. I got MW3 preordered on Steam and I plan on playing MP until I get bored. The difference is that I can put in 30-50 hours in BF3 (basing on my BC2 playtime) while 10-15 in CoD. I rarely get annoyed by BF3 while I do a lot in CoD.

I've been having a BLAST with BF3. The Frostbite 2 engine looks amazing. I wish I had a PC that could handle the graphics capabilities but I don't.

What's everyone's favorite class? I personally like the Engie and Recon classes myself.

Also....flying.....so hard. lol

All four are good.

Each map has a different class for me.

Siene Crossing = recon
Caspian Border = recon/assault
Canals = assault/engie
Metro = assault
Devamend Peak = recon/assault
Firestorm = engie
Kharg Island = assault/engie
Bazaar = assault/engie
Tehran = assault

Hmm, I have it on the PC. It's always on Battlelog.

I just started using it when I bought BF3, love tracking my stats.
