I do decently well with the sniper rifle as well, but not well enough, lol. I mean, you can "do well" with any class, it all depends on your skills as a gamer. But, I've never seen a sniper make or break a match aside from dropping a radio beacon in just the right place, whereas I've seen engineers and assault players literally carry games to victory. I think the problem stems from the fact that everything you can do with a sniper rifle, you can do better with other guns. The extreme things you can do with a sniper rifle, like headshot someone from 400 meters away, aren't even practical. How does killing 5 people in 60 seconds with headshots from 400 meters help your team any, when there's 24 players and vehicles raining death and shit? TBH, I don't know they can fix that, though.
The PC version, there isn't a spawning issue with 64 people playing. Maybe I had a problem twice and that's because my team controlled none of the points and my squad were all killed.Basically, if you want BF3 to be like CoD or smaller shootesr, your wasting your time. If you want a game where it's not solely based on shooting somebody in the face and having crazy shit happen then BF3 would be your thing.
Don't get me wrong, I like CoD MP but comparing both games MP is not something you should do.
You hit the nail on the head, in that there's a huge difference between the PC and console versions of this. Simply put, this game works for PC but not for consoles. Having 64 players in one match instead of 24 changes the metagame considerably, and the fact that everyone playing has built in communication (keyboards) vs. the optional mic in consoles, encourages everyone in the game to communicate with each other.
I mean, I'm sure it's different if you're playing a private match or you have friends playing with you, but playing BF3 on the 360, you might as well be playing CoD, just with BF configuations. It's completely chaotic and random, with no team synergy, people spawn camping and sprinting around with the map unchecked with their M4's/74U's, and absolutely zero marking. I'm like the only person on my team who ever marks targets when I see them. sighs. So frusterating.
