Battlefield 3

Not the game's fault you are playing with morons bro

This doesn't happen in MW3 bro. I've never been killed by a tank due to stupid allies in MW3 bro. Fight me uhuh

Though in all seriousness, Dice should have anticipated this and implemented some way to give non-verbal cues. Like, if I'm out of ammo, I should be able to get an ally in my targeting reticule and, if close enough, hit the back button, which would make the words "CowardlyBlakMan is requesting ammo/healing from you!" flash in the corner of their screen, or something to that affect.

Something to that affect pops up on the screen but when I hit back nothing happens. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I agree. The soldier asks for ammo/health kits. That is all he does when you hit back. Problem is with all the amazing sound effects, gunshots, tanks, jets and choppers it is hard for people to hear them.

thats why you should play black ops , DOGS INCOMMING!!!!!!!! WOOF WOOF and you make like 92-1 ... can you reach a 92-1 in any other game? hell no

People shouldn't be able to use mortars from beyond the "no go" zone the enemy is restricted from entering.

Just went 25-0 with an LMG I took off someone's body; it had the thermal scope on it. So rape.

I agree about the mortars.

But at least it's not as annoying as BC2 portable mortars the recon class had.

I got a AMD Anthlon II X3 450 Processor 3.21 GHz and 2G RAM. I have ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card.

Is that enough to run BF3 on high settings?

At 1680x1050, according to Tom's Hardware, you get around 40 FPS. That's at 8 GB's.

You might see some lag with 2 GB but I don't know if low RAM makes a difference or not on the game.

I would suspect you be best of with Medium during online and high during SP/Co-Op.

But I don't know for sure.

Thanks for the feedback. So the biggest drawback would be the RAM...mmm

Maybe.

In the end, mostly every game needs a good GPU. Some games don't need crazy amounts of RAM.

I only have 4 GB's and I never ran into an issue. So you might be fine. If nothing else, RAM is super cheap and 6 GB's will run you 25 bucks.

Yeah I know they are cheap right now which is awesome. I was planning on upgrading to 4GB anyway. Was gonna go OMGWTFBBQ 8G all the way but I've been told it is not worth it. No current game makes use of 8g worth of ram.

Well, how much is the difference?

If it's a slight different to upgrade to another 4 GB, you might as well do it.

DICE fixing Battlefield 3's incredibly unrealistic, annoying, ridiculous tactical flashlight
Turn off the lights in here, baby

One of the most absurdly frustrating parts of Battlefield 3's multiplayer is the tactical flashlight. The attachment can be added to many of the game's weapons, and produces a light so blindingly bright that it honestly has raised questions as to whether or not anyone at DICE has ever seen, or used a flashlight. One look in its general direction and the player is blinded as if he had been hit by a dozen flashbangs at once. At night, during the day, from two feet away or from 20, it didn't matter. The outcry has been tremendous, and thankfully, DICE is going to do something about it.

Bought the PC version. Can run it on high just fine woot

Completely spoiled by how beautiful and awesome it is. People judging BF3 by it's console versions have no idea of just how sweet the game really is.

Only problem is I totally suck with a mouse and keyboard. =\

I totally solo'd a jeep as recon a couple days ago; was awesome. Was using the first bolt action you get and the driver decided to try to run me over. At like 10-15 meters I quickscoped his gunner and tossed a nade right into its path. The grende went off right under the jeep and killed te driver instantly, and the flaming jeep carcas cartwheeled right over my head and through the second story window of the building behind me. So ****ing awesome.

Now that's a Battlefield story.

You rarely get that in other MP. The only one I could think of is Team Fortress 2.

I haven't played this game in awhile. After getting Skyrim, it's pretty much sucked the life out of everything else.

The incredible physics engine really adds a special flavor to the game.

It's interesting how playing different games can teach you different skillsets, and how you carry those skills with you to other games.

For example, it's undeniable that Battlefield 3 plays differently from CoD, but on the other hand those twitch reflexes I picked up from playing CoD have saved my life on several occasions in BF3, such as quickscoping that jeep gunner.

On the other hand, I was playing BlackOps with a buddy today and I noticed how much more situational awareness I had, and that I was moving through cover, which is something that I picked up from Battlefield.

So yah, thought that was cool in a way.
