I got the impression he was talking about RE5, Operation, and RE6.

Yep. In which case, Revelations will be truer to the series' horror roots than any of those said games.

Sherry? Didn't see that coming.

if you read the bit the little bit at the end

Turner was speaking mostly with Operation Raccoon City in mind, it sounds like, although the trailer for Resident Evil 6 doesn't make it look like the riddle-ridden games of yore.

Yeah but it sounds like Capcom is planning to attract Call of Duty fans by having more than just Operation Raccoon City which worries me for this will greatly affect Resident Evil's franchise and it's original fans.

I found this rather humorous:

Resident Evil has attracted more players since incorporating more action, with Resident Evil 5 leading the charge, Turner said. "We've seen the popularity of Resident Evil increase massively as the series became more action oriented -- Resident Evil 5 is the biggest seller in the series," he said. "So, it makes sense for us to follow this action area more fully."

Well of coure your sales were good, Turner. You pulled a frikkin Duke Nukem Forever on us you dick. For years, fans were anticipating for RE5 to be what they were hoping for it to be since it's, you know, RESIDENT EVIL but instead, you made us wait years for a massive disappointment and you know why it was bad? It's because it is all ACTION-ORIENTED and there was barely any survival horror in it at all, making it hardly live up to it's title, and you think just because you made a lot of money from your disappointed fans, you think they want more of what you delivered them last time? Screw you 😐

I totally disagree.

Once they created Resident Evil 4, new fans flocked to the series, me included.

The reason is because it was not like the first Resident Evil games.

Resident Evil 5 was very similar to Resident Evil 5. Almost identical. That was the problem of the game. It didn't do anything new.

Ya, Resident Evil 5 didn't shake up the forumula created by Resident Evil 5.

Being a wisecrack over an obvious typos is so 5 years ago. Anyhoo,

2 to 6 people for online co-op? Yeah, this is definitely them trying to appeal to the CoD fanbase or somesuch.

So Capcom's already murdered my anticipation for this game.

Meh.

Atmosphere looks superior to RE5's.

I share your disappointment there.

Maybe. Question is, by how much?

over

It's a joke.

Also, 2-6 co-op... that seems odd for RE...

Bah. **** this then. I'm jumping out. Will just youtube the cutscenes.

What's the shock, guys? The direction of RE was fairly obvious ever since RE4. RE5 and the two upcoming games just confirms it for good.

I don't get either.

If everybody loved RE4, I don't understand why people ***** about a more action oriented RE6.

I'll throw my vote in for "not getting it."

I got into the series with RE4 and loved every minute of it.

I played the GC remake of Resident Evil, and loved that too.

When RE5 came out, it was a different feel, but I still loved the hell out of it.

And just from the trailer for RE6, I can't wait for a game with both Chris and Leon.

Action sells better, guys. And as long as the games are good, enjoy them.

Oh no! They are including a feature which I don't have to play! How DARE you Capcom!?
