I got the impression he was talking about RE5, Operation, and RE6.
if you read the bit the little bit at the end
Turner was speaking mostly with Operation Raccoon City in mind, it sounds like, although the trailer for Resident Evil 6 doesn't make it look like the riddle-ridden games of yore.
Yeah but it sounds like Capcom is planning to attract Call of Duty fans by having more than just Operation Raccoon City which worries me for this will greatly affect Resident Evil's franchise and it's original fans.
I found this rather humorous:
Resident Evil has attracted more players since incorporating more action, with Resident Evil 5 leading the charge, Turner said. "We've seen the popularity of Resident Evil increase massively as the series became more action oriented -- Resident Evil 5 is the biggest seller in the series," he said. "So, it makes sense for us to follow this action area more fully."
Well of coure your sales were good, Turner. You pulled a frikkin Duke Nukem Forever on us you dick. For years, fans were anticipating for RE5 to be what they were hoping for it to be since it's, you know, RESIDENT EVIL but instead, you made us wait years for a massive disappointment and you know why it was bad? It's because it is all ACTION-ORIENTED and there was barely any survival horror in it at all, making it hardly live up to it's title, and you think just because you made a lot of money from your disappointed fans, you think they want more of what you delivered them last time? Screw you 😐
I'll throw my vote in for "not getting it."
I got into the series with RE4 and loved every minute of it.
I played the GC remake of Resident Evil, and loved that too.
When RE5 came out, it was a different feel, but I still loved the hell out of it.
And just from the trailer for RE6, I can't wait for a game with both Chris and Leon.
Action sells better, guys. And as long as the games are good, enjoy them.
