Resident Evil 6

Just finished Chris's campaign.
Not bad actually. Only thing i really disliked was (

Spoiler:
the chapter chasing Ada wong, boring
.
I really liked Leon's (
Spoiler:
last 2 chapters, Simmons was a cool boss, and he just wouldn't go down
.
This game suffers from being epic at one point and the other it's just 20 min of looking for keys and shit

Well it wouldn't be Resident Evil if it didn't have some sort of puzzles or parts with looking for keys or certain items to progress forward. They didn't need to spam those Regenerator-like enemies on most of those parts though.

@ Kazenji: Correct, and you have to save up a whole lot of skill points to get infinite ammo of course. Good thing though is, unlike on RE5 where you could only purchase infinite ammo with one weapon at a time individually, on here if you say like spend your skill points on infinite ammo for shotguns for example, you will get infinite on all the different shotguns you've picked up in the campaign before. But aside from beating all the campaigns, you have to get a certain hundred amount of kills with whichever type of weapon to even be able to have infinite ammo of that type available to purchase with your skill points, from my understanding. At least that's what I saw when I looked at some of the listed skills at the bottom that were still locked, which the requirements were shown.

And yeah, the ending with Jake and the Ustanak was awesome beyond words. I figured Usty would come back again during the last chapter before getting that far still, but damn.

I just beat Leons campaign. Man, that ending chapter was epic. I'm exhausted from how much the epicness drained me. That was quite possibly the most relentless and over the top boss fight I've seen in an RE game. Great ending!

At the moment, I'm on the last chapter for both Chris and Jake too, so I'll probably beat those tomorrow. If either of those are close to as epic as Leons ending, this will be great!

They both are IMHO.

Today I finished Leon's campaign it was fcuking awsome all the boss fights were amazing!Im at chapter 4 with Chris it's good as well but so far my favorite is Leon's without being a fan of him.

Leon always gets the good stuff 131

Play Jake's final chapter and tell me if you still think so.

I've done jake's campaign and it's actually pretty good. Ustanak rules.

Piers was pretty badass in the last fight!Chris is

Spoiler:
such a loser he lost all his men 2 times couldn't prevent the attack against China and couldn't defeat that B.O.W infact he got his ass saved by Piers several times.Poor guy.

Started Ada's campaign at chapter 3 right now.

Still getting through Leon's campaign currently up to Simmons on the train

that part with the zombie shark was annoying how it goes shoot the gas tank and aiming is little bit wonky.

Ya, I'm also on chapter 3 for Ada right now. I've realized that they set up Ada to be the main character for this game. Everyone else (including Leon and Chris) are just bystanders and pieces of the puzzle. This entire story is actually centered around Ada, and I think that's cool as hell.

I just started this game on Leon's campaign.

Not bad. Not bad at all, I must say. The camera is a little disorienting at times, but I'm getting used to it.

I'm at the cathedral now, and I finished that fight with

Spoiler:
the gassy, porous BOW that looks like Chatterer from Hellraiser.

The boss fight with

Spoiler:
Carla (aka the Ada Wong clone)
in the Ada Wong campaign was very unsettling.
Spoiler:
Turning into a giant blob and fighting her in the dark, damp basement of the aircraft carrier and seeing her hands and face all over the walls trying to kill you. It's like a disturbing combination of Akira and Nightmare on Elm St.

I just beat Adas campaign. She wrapped up everything nicely. Pretty much every loose end makes sense now. Also, that secret ending you get after beating her campaign was interesting.

Spoiler:
I think it's alluding towards RE7. It looks like the main character is going to be Jake, and it takes place in the middle east. To be honest, the middle east is the last place I wanted to go. It looks too RE5 for my tastes. I want to stick to darker and more industrial areas like this game and RE4. Jake as the main character sounds nice though. Give Leon and Chris a break. Too bad we don't get to see Claire, Billy, Rebecca, or Jill though. I would have preferred a game centered around one of them. A game with Sherry as the main character would have been cool too.

I guess now I'm going to go for my 1000 gamer score on this game. Thank god none of the achievements are for mercenaries.

Holy crap does the Agent Hunt mode suck. Everytime I play it, someone is playing the campaigns on either amateur or normal and this makes the B.O.W.s weak and I mean really weak. Just one hit and already I'm down faster than a vehicle driven by Leon. What mad man at Capcom thought it was a good idea to have players on Agent Hunt tied down to the difficulty setting? That kind of crap never happened on Left 4 Dead.

In regards to all of Leon's boss fights being amazing, Deborah was kinda "meh" if you ask me. Was expecting her to be more difficult or drawn out at least. Otherwise I agree, as far as Simmons and whatnot.

Lowballing Chris much? >.>
Spoiler:
While it was his fault that his men died the 2nd time due to being fueled by anger and vengeance, he ended up having the most character development out of basically anyone in the game. From being a drunk due to depression from amnesia, going all ******* and rashly getting his current team killed in pursuit of Ada's clone after remembering what happened, then admitting his mistakes and even boldly tells Jake that he was the one who killed his father, along with his ending where he was the one eating steak just like Piers was.. Couldn't have asked for a better ending out of him. As for that final B.O.W., Chris can actually do just as well against it with his knife as Piers can with that mutated arm of his. You'd be surprised. And Ada bailed Leon out around as many times as Piers did Chris, so... yeah. 😛

It's always like that when the game goes slow-motion on you on certain parts, not just with the shark.

I wouldn't go as far as to call Leon and Chris bystanders, but I definitely see where you're coming from with Ada and agree there.

Aside from the slightly more complicated puzzles, I liked the stealth parts of her campaign. And was I the only one who got a Batman kind of vibe when she

Spoiler:
rescued Sherry with her grapple and then vanished?
lol

Spoiler:
I don't know about Jake being the main character, but I'm sure it hints that he'll get a more prominent role in the future, and I like how Sherry changed him for the better, as far as not being a money-hungry bastard. Agree to kill all those B.O.W.s just for an apple proved it right there, lol.
Other than that, I look forward to seeing Jake when he's older or more matured, as right now he's only 20. I'm sure he'll only get stronger as he ages.
Spoiler:
And I agree about the middle east having too much an RE5 sort of vibe. Don't want that. And I kinda missed some of those you mentioned like Jill too, though you forgot Barry.

Have all the achievements now except for beating it on professional and maxing out all the level-related skills, both of which I'll take more my time on doing. I would have loved it if there was some achievements just for mercenaries though. Was hoping there would've been after how much I played mercs on RE5, but at least there's some medals you get just on mercs, like getting a full 150 and such, most of which I've done by now.

Other than that, I don't like how you can only use the characters' alternate costumes on mercenaries and not on the campaign too, like in all the previous games. Now the campaigns in this game won't be as replayable for me in that regard. I wanted to use Ada's white dress on her campaign or Helena's cop outfit in Leon's. =(

Meh, I guess Capcom's not as experienced as Valve at that kind of stuff. Haven't even played Agent Hunt myself yet, though I'm not really surprised still.

Ah okay.....i haven't even started playing with the other characters.

Resident Evil 6 Contains On-Disc DLC

Oh dear. Modders have discovered that Resident Evil 6 contains on-disc DLC. Tucked away in the retail disc’s code are a No Hope difficulty setting (Pro is the hardest difficulty setting in the standard game), plus extra taunts, costumes and melee attacks.

The content has been revealed in a series of videos uploaded by YouTube user, Fluffyquack.

Well I heard for the No Hope that you could unlock it by completing the campaigns with each character on every difficulty, not that I really care for it, and costumes I kinda figured was the case due to the fact there were some palette swapped ones you could only unlock on that residentevil.net site when you get enough RE points after completing enough events or something, but taunts and melees being DLC, in addition to half or the mercenary stages or so that are still locked? Ridiculous Capcom. I guess I've been using some "incomplete" characters the whole time without even realizing it then. Are there certain skills you could purchase with skill points that are disc-locked too, or titles and medals for your dog tag? 😬

I suppose they were trying hard to hide some of this at first, but they should've known, modders find out everything early. Caught red-handed yet again.
