"Who else do you have a strong connection with?"

"Very, very few people...my former Master, and I'd much rather she not know where I am."

"Yes, your Master," Gallador says. "She searches for you even now, just as Rand seeks your allegiance. A mother and a father warring for the faith of their child. How appropriate."

"And I would be happier for both to leave me be," Rianna says. "Myraline, for all of her faults and the fact that we never got along, never actively wished me harm, though. Don't think I haven't contemplated the risk of being forced back to Coruscant in order to alert the Order as to where Rand is."

"You won't," Gallador says. "Your fear of beng found is too great."

"And yet, I've still considered it."

"Meaningless," Gallador says, smugly.

"Aren't you just so arrogant and sure of yourself..." Rianna says, growing increasingly irritated. "Why do you work with Rand, then? Even I've managed to foil his plans..."

"That does not mean that all of his plans have been foiled. I have my reasons. I still have much to learn in the ways of the Dark Side."

"Why, though? I don't agree with the Jedi, they don't trust me in the least...and yet I have no desire to learn about the Dark Side..."

"You don't have to learn much to use it," Gallador says. "It's when delving into its secrets that knowledge is required."

"I won't use it..."

"You already have."

"That was a stupid act out of desperation...I do not intend to act that way again."

Gallador just shakes his head.

"Maybe you'd feel differently if you knew about your vision," Gallador says.

"I'd have to know what this vision is then to judge, now wouldn't I. But I doubt it."

"If you say so," Gallador says.

"And I most certainly do say so..." Rianna replies, feeling increasingly uncomfortable. Rand may terrify her, but Gallador just quietly unnerves her.

"Why does Calthell have something that appears to be a lightsaber?" she asks, changing the subject.

"It's a lightfoil," Gallador explains. "It has the elegance and grace of a lightsaber, but not quite the power. Nobles within the Mecrossan Order learn to use them."

"No one without the Force would be able to use something like that as well as a Jedi could," Rianna states, not pleased with that. She has pretty strong feelings on such things.

She is very curious as to why exactly Rand is here, but isn't sure if she should talk to him or not...
