STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Council of Taneshla

That clears Tanic! But Rianna is subsequently expelled amongst the cacophonous shouting.

So is Gallador, who comes out with the Queen's sanguine cloak.

Rianna is almost happy to be away from there, even if she doesn't think Geful will be pleased with her getting herself kicked out.

"Did you honestly think that you'd get away with that?" she comments to Gallador when he exits after her.

"It was worth the effort, meddlesome girl," Gallador says. He throws the cloak at your feet. "Here. Have it. See if it helps you discern your future."

He stomps off.

Rianna stares after him as he stomps off, slightly surprised. She then picks up the cloak off the floor, wondering just why she keeps seeing one and it keeps coming up.

Only one way to find out that one, as Rand said.

Well, she's still not very inclined to simply leave.

Even though she no longer has any purpose to being there.

You can return to your room; you do not feel safe with Rand and Gallador around, but you are even less inclined to let them get their way. Whatever their way is.

Rianna is allowed to come to that night's banquet, where an antsy Tanic is waiting for her.

Rianna will return to her room and...I don't know, nap? Prowl around restlessly? Something, for the rest of the day.

"What happened after I had to leave?" she asks Tanic, upon returning in the evening.

"The Staff came up," Tanic say. He seems nervous.

"What? How? Is Calthell interested in it?"

"Yes," Tanic says. "He tried to bargain for it. Geful seemed less reluctant... a side effect of Gallador's attempted Mind Trick I'm sure... but no agreement was reached. Geful took it off the table permanently. Calthell's not happy."

"Great..." Rianna mutters. "Gallador is angry that his attempt at discrediting you backfired on him. And what use could Calthell possibly have for such a thing?"

"No idea," Tanic says. "The Mecrossans like playing with the Dark Side even though none of them can use it."

"Rand did say that while he has no personal interest in it, if he wanted help from the Mecrossans he had to assist them himself...I really don't like this. And now there's really nothing I can do..."

"Not from the politics side of things," Tanic says. "I have no doubt that they'll make a move on it tonight. We have to be there to stop them."

If Rianna was the sort to use profanities, she would probably be swearing right now.

"I wouldn't be surprised, but I hope not...I'm still not recovered from Rand's attack. There's no way I could stand against him right now," she says. "But on the other hand, I almost hope you're right. There's only so many days I can go with so little sleep."

Tanic appears to consider something.

"Maybe... you should just stay down for the night?" Tanic suggests awkwardly.

"When you're sure that they're going to make a move tonight for the staff?" Rianna says, irritated with the suggestion. "But if they don't...fine. Maybe you're right. But if anything does happen, I expect to be woken up immediately. I'll keep my comlink with me."

She pauses for a moment, thinking.

"What about you? You're the one that has to deal with these talks now. I don't. I've got nothing to do during the day..."

"What's your point?" Tanic asks.

"Well, are you planning on staying up all night? You've got to pay attention during these talks."
