Hero High 3: A New World

After moments of flight Janet lowered herself onto the golden stairs of the temple. The doors where the size of one of earth’s skyscrapers. She turned toward her Right to see a statue of Zeus and his brothers. On the left Hera and her sister. Stretching her hand toward the wooden doors she began to push with all her power to only crack the door enough for her and Harkin to walk in. “Welcome to the Thrown room Harkin. Don’t be alarmed. These guys are as tall as buildings. “Turning her focus to Zeus she let out a deep sigh.” Zeus no doubt you’ve been watching you son Jordan. On his behalf I need to ask something of all of you. A few moments ago several students on earth vanished and reappeared. The aftermath proved to be a wave of fear from these select minds. The only known person to cause such fear is Wraith. We aren’t sure if has done this or had anything to do with it. By the way this is Harkin she’s a friend.”

Athena was the first to speak out of all of the Olympians. ” Wraith would be a likely candidate for such a act of terror. Though he isn’t the one behind this. You see Wraith hasn’t activated his godly powers since Russia. He has been up to no good as normal but this his hands are free of. Is there anything else that we may help you or the witch Harkin with psychic?”

Bennu had been clutching her skull for a while now, alternately screaming in terror or defiance. Her body had flashed at first in blinding waves, but she was beginning to regain control. Tears were streaming down her face, and her expression shifted rapidly, from fear to anger, before returning to fear, and finally followed by a deep, accepted calm. Pryce stood nearby, more worry on his face now than he had when she first began to cry out. She paid him little mind, trying to sort out her thoughts, attempting the techniques she had seen in class and hoping they would work now when they hadn't before. Words tugged at her memory, and she wasn't sure if they belonged to her or someone far away, long dead but still living. Help, Bennu thought, you must help them. But there were so many. Help them all, said the voice she knew was all too familiar, yet so distant. Bennu stood up, clenching her fists.
"Come on," she said to Pryce, who was too stunned for her voice to register for several moments. He managed a startled "W-Wha," before Bennu started off down the hall, eyes set in determined fire that didn't seem entirely her own.
"Come on!" she called again, before stopping and saying, "Wait, no. You can help more there. I know where they are." Pryce's look of confusion only deeped, but this time he could say nothing before Bennu put a hand on his shoulder. "You need to go to the Registration Center in the office, before this gets any worse. And remember," she held up her hand, showing him the ring she wore, "I'm always with you. Now go."
With that, Bennu began to sprint in the opposite direction, towards the source.

--------

Pryce began to approach the main office when a sudden feeling hit him. He worried that the seal was lessening, that it was only a matter of time until the void within him consumed everything, like it had with his grandfather. It would start inside him, Pryce knew. He'd be the first to go, but not before it absorbed him inside out. Why? Pryce wondered, fear falling to depression. Why did I- that idiot great grandfather have to steal the d*** trinket!? Emotions fought for control inside Pryce as he neared the office, each worse than the last. He began to feel horribly alone. Pryce sat down, looking at his hands and crying. Almost immediately he felt the warm, nearly burning touch of the ring as it touched his face. He absorbed the heat, and felt his emotion drain away slightly, his jet black skin seeming to expand as light itself turned towards him. With a bit more strength to go on, Pryce walked the rest of the way to the office, where he saw a young man appearing to sleep, a hideous mask sitting unlatched near his pale face. "Um, hello?" Pryce called, wondering why Bennu had pleaded with him to come here.

------

Bennu ran, feeling as the way forward became more clear. She thought she'd figured it out. Emotion was the key to empathy, the stronger, the better- or worse. The more extreme emotions in this school semed to stimulate Bennu's developement. Of course, none of that explained why Bennu had the empathy in the first place. No matter, said the familiar and unfamiliar voice. There were two ahead that needed help. As Bennu came near, she just knew where the emotions were. One seemed on edge, near its limit and soon to go over again, had it gone over before?. The other was in darkness, corrupt and fragmented. Bennu reached the roof, coming upon Ricardo first. "You," she said, out of breath but recovering quickly, and glowing with what seemed like fire. "I need to help you."

Gaku stopped flying landing in front of his door he was ready to go in feeling bored with how today went. Then he felt something pull behind him he turned to see what looked like a black hole it excited him he thought about fighting it but wanted to take it head on. His blood boiled with excitement he didn't resist and ran towards the black hole even though it seemed dumb to do. Gaku smirked and all that went through his mind was getting stronger as he went through the portal.

Tobias felt like he had barely closed his eyes when a voice woke him up for the second time of the night. The mask was loose on his face, and as his eyes opened, he found himself looking up into a dark figure. The entire room was still bathed in darkness, and the figure before him wasn’t clearly visible. Tobias reacted instantly, by reflex. He was already attacked once, and the terror of the portal was still fresh in his mind. Fighting back the waves of terror that enveloped him, he moved on pure instinct now.

His right arm went forward, as if putting up a shield in front of himself. His left pulled back his cloak from his arm and shifted the latch that released the forearm-length blade from his gauntlet. "Get... AWAY FROM ME!" The young man screamed as he swung his arm out in an arc, driving back his perceived attacker. As Tobias rose from his position against the wall, his mask fell from his face. With long grey hair framing his livid, almost silver eyes, the full effects of his abilities were unleashed upon his unseen assailant, as well as the school itself.

Images of their worst nightmares and their most secret fears wrap and surround them. The images, phantoms, specters and horrors made manifest before their very eyes. Their own senses fully enveloped by the madness. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Tobias roared as he planted his foot to the chest of this per being and shoved with all his might towards the door. Tobias ran to the door after him, slamming shut. He threw his entire body against the office door, and looked around frantically for his mask. He couldn’t see it well in the darkness, but he knew full well the effects of his power. And that was something far to horrific for others to be exposed to for long.

Jade had sensed a danger sense the figure had approached the school for the first time.. even through her unconscious being. With her body acting upon a pure reaction, pushing through the pain she lifts herself up within mili-seconds, quickly taking in the required amount of energy from the air around her. With only a short time, she retracts her arms back to her hips, allowing her body to take a stable stance.. she absorbs energy from the air to restore her own.. enough to make a desperate movement. She allows her energy to charge for nearly 2 seconds but is unwilling to allow the time to move on too far. She turned to the edge of the school and without hesitation quickly rushed to the edge, leaping from it and into the skies. Her body flickers and seems to disappear again.

Within less then a moment, she appears behind Tobias. She does not hesitate and sends out her hands, projecting a large EM Wave Field that is spread out more then 15 yards, delaying the release of his powers, but in that instant, both Tobias and Jade completely disappeared once more. This time, they were instantly released inside of the white plain. Nothing but emptiness laid in wait. Tobias destructive power was halted from being released and he was now in a realm where he could not hurt anyone aside from Jade who had pulled him there before it was possible for his powers to activate.

Harkin wasnt listening. She was busy staring at the... Nice.. Men and envying the beautiful women. Her mouth twitched when she heard her name. Sh didnt want to talk. Shes done some bad things in her life.. She wasnt getting into heaven.. She didnt want to get on the bad side of Greek gods. "Ill let you do that talking Janet."

Xanatos found himself glad he had patience, as the fact of him being forced to wait almost all day to speak to one individual might have irritated, and likely offended, just about any other individual. Still, the dean of this facility likely was a busy man, so Xan couldn't fault him. If anything, it allowed him to get a better grasp of the individuals of the school. It seemed of the masses, a few key people tended to stand out, two of them being psychics he had already become aware of. The other seemed rather out of place; he had a warrior's mindset in a place of learning. Xanatos felt he would have to observe that one in better detail at some point. It seemed the two psychics he had tabs on, Donny and Ricardo, had confronted each other. This told the man that they had history. It also told him that they were used to using their powers when and where they saw fit. Were it not for his self-imposed refrain from involvement with students, Xanatos would have taught them both the errors of their ways.

The day wore on, and even more scuffles seemed to occur, though they did not seem to involve any obvious psionic abilities. Day turned to night, and then something very different happened. Something new came under Xanatos's blanket passive scan of the school, and immediately the man's vision was impaired. That's not to say that he was blinded; rather, something entered his field of vision that was so distracting that it left him speechless. Somewhere, a portion of his mind told him that he was experiencing fear, and so with the last bit of clarity he had before the vision threatened to engulf him, he severed his ties to the individual he had scanned. Now in his blanket of psychic information was a hole, this one point of existence where his mind did not touch. Whatever you are he thought to himself, you are very, very dangerous.

Xanatos followed Eric as he interacted with this...thing...named Tobias. He listened and watched through the immortal's eyes, making sure to place the frame and appearance to memory. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Eric part company with Tobias, then found himself puzzled when he lost connection with him, and a number of other students. They were gone for only a moment, and then he could feel them again. He could sense Eric's fury, and the confusion of the other students. Xanatos noticed someone nearing the one he wouldn't read. It was Pryce. He watched as the boy attempted to help the strange one.

He saw Tobias's mask fall off...and then the vision was back, larger and more terrible than before. His mind told him to cut off the link, but this time the man had not linked to Tobias. No...Tobias had unleashed his power. What happened next was a blur. He could feel his terror, he was aware of it, but he felt it all the same. He felt that terror reach into his mind, tapping into his own vast power. The Terror spread from him, thick, writhing tentacles of corrupted psychic power reaching out, beyond the borders of the "school", out into the suburbs, into the city. Xanatos felt The Terror grip all it touched, making them see, not what he saw, but what they all feared most. He saw The Terror drive them mad, into the streets, preparing to flee and rage and riot in sheer unfathomable Fear.

And as quickly as it had begun, it was gone. Xanatos felt himself gasping for breath he did not need. Could feel liquid dabbing his eyes, eyes that had not shed tears in even distant memory. His wings were wracked, flapping wildly, and his body shivered as if it would never be warm, even though he had long been used to cold.

"...Gods..."

Sam did not listen to her mother she exited the jet and felt something odd wash over her, it seemed to pass but in her hesitation she lost track of Harkin. "Mom? where did you go?" she asked but she heard nothing but she felt someone behind her, she turned to find Harkin. "Oh there you are I couldn't-" she was cut short by a dagger being stabbed through her by her mother. "W-why? she asked surprised, shadows began to spell out from Sam and on to Harkin and consumed her before ripping the witch to shreds leaving nothing. "MOM!" The teen cried out. At that time James came out of the jet "What the hell did you do?!" he screams charging at Sam, she threw her arms out defensively but felt her powers extend she looked up to find her father impaled then shatter. "No...not again...NOT AGAIN!" she cried out unleashing all her rage in one pulse of darkness. Sam falls to her knees crying into her hands, the shadows around her now rage and rip at the ground. "This is not real...this is not real this is not real," she repeated to herself. The nightmare passes but she can still feel the pain of killing her family again, she doesn't realize she is in her shadow form and if this much power keeps leaking out she will go insane permanently.

Avani watches the portal fade but Eric looks at her with hatred in his eyes. She fletches not knowing why the boy was looking at her this way suddenly Eric pulls out a gun and pulls the trigger, the girl is to slow and gets hit in the shoulder and screams in pain and fears for her life. "No this isn't real this isn't happening." She opens her eyes and sees no one there and her arm is not bleeding but still really hurts, "was her ever really here?" she asked herself and heads to her room not know what else to do.

______________________

Zero was about to answer Janet's question but the psychic vanished, Zero shrugged or at least tried to shrug and kept walking then she felt something strange happen but it passed too quickly for her to mind it. The cat girl walked through the doors of the nurses office still babying her arm when suddenly she was tackled to the ground by a man in a white coat who was carrying a scalpel, she dragged it over her stomach only cutting enough so she would bleed. His face was twisted and was one of the scientist that did experiments on her. Zero screamed and tryed to fight back but nothing was on top of her but the cut was still there, she crawled to the corner of the office, her feral instincts kicked in, she would jump at anything that came close to her like a cornered animal.

Eric awoke from his sleep with a start, a familiar sensation gripping at his chest. Immediately the Colt and stiletto were in his hands, and his eyes were darting around the room, the hammer on the gun pulled back and ready to fire as he rose himself into a crouch. They were out there, he knew they were. A shadow danced in the corner, and the immortal soldier pulled the trigger, launching himself forward and driving the triple-edge into the shadow, feeling purchase. Instantly, his arm shoots up, pinning the shadow against the wall as the stiletto was ripped out and shoved in again and again.

After the tenth strike, Eric pulled back and raised the Colt, pulling back the hammer again. He pulled the trigger, then locked the hammer. He did this twice more, before finally lowering the gun. He reached over and turned on the light to the room, and looked at his assailant. He stood over the body, his brow furrowed and his eyes wide. Slowly, the gun slipped from his grip, bouncing along the ground, followed by the clatter of his stiletto.

He was looking into the ruined face of someone alive only in his memory. He had met her long ago, and she had taken care of him. He knew her...because he had left her, for her own sake. He saw the wavy hair, the full cheeks, one now red and oozing blood, ravaged by his fire. Her stomach sported the ten wounds, the red life spilling from them. He looked into her eyes...where her eyes should be...there were only holes. He remembered what used to be there...piercing blue...so contrasted with her almond skin...

"How...how," he choked out, dropping to his knees, "how did you find me...why were you here? HOW DID YOU FIND ME?! WHY DID YOU LOOK FOR ME! NOW LOOK WHAT I'VE DONE!" He couldn't look at her. He wouldn't look at her. His hands found his stiletto, and without hesitation, he drove the prongs through one socket with a bloodcurdling scream, then pulled it out and repeated the process, leaving him in darkness. The blade clattered to the floor once more, and Eric dropped the rest of the way to the ground. He would heal...he always did...and it would hurt...but for now, at least, all would be black...

"SAM!" Leon had appeared right on time, it seemed. Sam appeared to be going through some terrible phase in her powers. Leon ran forwards and started shaking her, trying to get her to come to her senses. "Wake up, dammit! What the hell's going on!?" he shouted, directing the last question at no one in particular. He was just frustrated. One second, he had everything for the NYC trip taken care, and next, people were disappearing, and others were going nuts. It was like the Issac thing all over again.

Sam didn't notice Leon was shaking her until he spoke, she didn't have an answer for his question she didn't know why this was happening it was all happening quickly. Power raged on chaotically like her mind felt at that moment she couldn't compose herself with the blood of her family she murdered so long ago, she knew James and Harkin we're dead but it felt so real... Suddenly loud gun shots were heard coming from the dorms, she shook her head to try and snap out of the the terrible nightmare once more, She teleported up to her feet but remained in the same spot, she slowly walked forward toward the buildings her power ripping apart the ground under her feet, "we need to secure the other students and make sure whoever are whatever is doing this is stopped," she said in pain covering one of her eyes with the bloody hand she was only able to see. Every few steps she took she seemed to flicker back or forward she wasn't in full control but she was Strike Force and no matter what was going on with her she would protect this school, if she was sane at the moment she would have thought it was funny that she even questioned why she did what she did.

So much had happened to Tobias tonight. He was obviously assaulted with shadows and crimson arms that seemed to pull and claw at him. Arms that drew him into a strange place of blinding white and dark shapes. Just as quickly as that assault had come, it left. And he found himself back within the dark office he began at. Confused, and now on alert, he attempted to sleep again, obviously shaken and doubting the safety of this place. It felt that no sooner had he closed his eyes, than he was woken up again. Only this time the figure in front of him seemed to made of the living darkness. A terrifying visage that seemed to match perfectly with the dark shape he found in the blinding white void.

The young man acted on instinct, attacking out of fear and self defense. And as soon as he was able to barely barricade himself within the office, he was again attacked. This time from behind. Some massive force hit him in the back, seeming to launch him through the door. But he hit no solid object until his face touched blinding white floor. The rush of fear gripped his soul tightly, as he felt his breath stolen from him. Pushing himself onto his feet again, he didn’t so much as see the person behind him, but rather.. Felt it.

The now de-masked youth spun around, his fore-arm length witchblade gauntlet arcing out before him. His swing made no contact, as Tobias was not a trained fighter. His blades have never so much as cut anyone before. He hoped the swipe would cause his would be attacker to falter in their next upcoming assault. With his left arm, he gripped his own cloak and threw it over his perceived attacker. As the cloth flew, it masked the image of his still unknown assailant. Tobias charged, half shoulder checking this person and half pushing off of them. His only desire now was escape. He knew he could not fight well, and running always worked well for him, especially with his powers loose.

A cold dread gripped him at the thought. His powers WERE loose. He had dropped his mask back in the office, and his spare was in the trunks! His skidded to a halt in his run and turned, checking the ground around him just in case his mask somehow came with him. It was a futile effort, but he had to check. Cursing his own luck, and his choice to coming to that damned school, he started running again. He would have to run far to get away from his attacker, both for his own safety, and to remove the effect of his madness from him, or her. “I should never have come here.. This was a stupid idea.. Damn it.. Damn it”

Leon didn't quite understand what Sam was talking about, but judging by the way her eyes were rolling and the way she was moving, she was having some kind of hallucination. "Sam, you're not doing anything unless I say so." he told her firmly, stepping in front of her and grabbing her shoulders to stop her moving. "You will stay here with me, that's an order!"
Leon glanced around. surely he wasn't the only person around, but apparently, he was. It was just him and him alone to deal with the out of control Sam. "Sam, you're having some kind of nightmare. You don't know what you're doing." he said, making eye contact with her. "You're tearing apart the ground around you. Have you even noticed?"

There was no time to waste. Xanatos was now dashing through the empty halls of the complex, moving at blinding speeds, refraining from breaking the sound barrier only out of concern for the structural integrity of the building itself. He whipped around corners and skidded to a halt to change direction in a fraction of a second. His eyes, well accustomed to moving at such breakneck speeds, glanced down every path not taken, spotted every open door. Every nanosecond spent searching was time wasted. Finally he skidded to a stop, spotting the boy Pryce, still where he had been left after Tobias's assault. He could waste no time with the child, however, and the doors that had been slammed shut flew open with such force that the sound of their slamming into the walls likely echoed down every hall.

His cloak rustled as he stepped into the enrollment office, eyes scanning every corner. His head turned and he moved forward, watching the rough-shaped steel rise from the floor and hover before him. It was the boy's mask. Xanatos studied it, making note of the facial features, the scarred indentations. He could sense no psychic resonance upon it, it was nothing more than steel. So how does it keep your power locked? the man thought to himself. He shook his head violently, pushing the thought aside for the moment. There were more urgent matters at hand.

"Where are you," he murmured, reaching out with his mind, his psychic energy permeating the area, "what happened here..." He closed his eyes, opening his mind's eye as he looked into the past, leeching the psychic residue from the very building, willing it to show him what he himself was unable to witness. Immediately he felt the Fear once again, but it was severely diminished, a pale, pale echo to what he had felt only moments before. Still, for it to leave in that much of a impact after less than seconds of exposure...Xanatos fought through the echo of the Fear, and the office came into focus. He saw as Jade appeared, apparently working through her subconcious. He felt her electromagnetic field slow the effects of Tobias's power, and watched as she disappeared with the boy.

Xanatos opened his eyes, staring into the empty sockets of the mask. It clicked. The mask wasn't a conduit, it was a crutch. A physical trigger to subduing the Fear. He came to a truly horrible realization, He can't control it. He was young, he was scared, he had a power that could bring nations to their knees, and he couldn't control it at all...

Teara a very skilled government official was dropping off her new creation at the school "Ok EW-13 enjoy school and please remember your mission, your mission is to learn how to utilize your powers for the good of mankind ok"

EW-13 grumbled "my name is Bushido call me Bushido mom i want a normal name just like all the humans here please call me by this name mom"

Teara blinked in suprise "Ok Bushido this is your name from now on" Teara smiled beautifully "Lets get you to the admissions office

Both of them walked into the school looking for the office

Pryce sat against the far corner of the wall, shaking. He had his eyes wide open, doing anything he could to avoid seeing the visions again. The monent that boy noticed him, everything had gone wrong. Pryce had felt his power, his fear, and though it was over now, thought he could still feel it. It was so real, Pryce thought, I felt the void breaking free. I felt it tearing me apart. With that thought, Pryce curled himself further into a ball. He looked at his ring, glowing with a fire that would have burned anyone else, but serving only to satisfy the hunger, keeping the void at bay. Absorbing the power helped, from every source Pryce could find. The room's temperature dropped as he took the heat, the lights dimmed as electrical power flowed into Pryce. Even the Fear, which seemed omnipresent, was drained away to feed the void within Pryce.

Pryce looked up with a start at a sudden sound, and was nearly knocked over by the wind created by something's entrance. A mysterious man stood where no one had been seconds before, lifting that mask Pryce had seen earlier without actually toucing it. Pryce thought he knew what the mask was, looking at his glowing ring. It keeps him from losing control, too, Pryce thought. But he doesn't have Bennu, does he? At that realization, Pryce came to another: the boy who owned the mask was nowhere to be seen.
"Hey," Pryce whispered hoarsely. "What'd you do to that kid?" Pryce could feel a small amount of the fear rolling off this new man, but he noted it distantly as it was swept into the void. Pryce still felt cold. "Are you the one making him afraid?" Pryce asked accusingly.

----

Bennu staggered to one side, holding her head in her hands again. The fragmented emotions she was tracking had moved, right as two separate waves of insanity rolled across the school. Bennu bit down to keep from screaming as horrific images played themselves over and over in her head. She saw a man who seemed vaguely familiar, but couldn't quite recognize. She was sure he'd never seen him before, but that didn't stop the immediate pangs of guilt as he screamed. The man was burning, his body being consumed by bright light and flames in turn. I killed him, Bennu thought. I killed a man. Bennu felt the heat as the man she'd never seen continued to burn, while she sat helplessly in the nest...
It changed. Bennu saw Pryce now, felt the cold, and watched as the void consumed him from the inside out. No! Bennu screamed inside her head, I won't let that happen! She reached out, generating as much heat and light as she could, pouring it into Pryce. And then it was over. The whole thing had taken less than a second, but it seemed to have taken ages. Bennu felt her heat burning away the fear, filling her with light.
"Pryce..." Bennu said desperately. She'd felt everything, coming directly from the area where Pryce was. "I'm coming to get you..." She said as she staggered off.

After walking into the black hole all he could see was darkness and it was everywhere. Then in the distance Gaku seen something on the ground that actually showed an ounce of light. He walked over to it but when it came into full view the sight mad him feel sick. One the floor laid his mother dying on the floor with someone eating at her. Gaku's mother stared blankly at Gaku it made hm sick then the person eating Gakus mother stood up. The person turned and it was none other then Musuko his twin brother he smiled at Gaku with blood dripping down his mouth. "Hello brother long time no see are you ready to die ha ha ha ha." Gaku cringed his teeth in anger and was ready to make a mad dash towards Musuko but when he made one step Musuko was already in his face and instantly gave him a punch to the stomach. Gaku gasp but stood strong his hands turned Partial Dragon and he grabbed Musukos arm spinning him. Gakus right hand became covered in water but the water started to boil as he punched his brother while Musuko was still spinning in the air. The punch sent Musuko flying but he shifted his body and landed with ease Musuko was able to super reduce the damage from the hit by bringing out the scales on his stomach. "Is that the best you can do bro then your going to die here" "Not even close." Gakus blood started to boil he was angry Both Gaku and Musuko rushed towards each other Gakus hand became covered in boiling water and Musukos in Lightning. When they got close enough Gaku did a barrage of Punches but Musuko jumped over them and did a spinning back hand while in the air hitting Gaku in the back. Lightning surged through his body while he was sent flying But he recovered by sticking out his hand and clinching the ground. Gaku stood right side up Musuko was ready his yellow scales started to cover his whole body transforming him into a Sangue Dragoon everyone of his scales bled. The smell started making Gaku sick Gaku know he couldn't beat him like this he started getting angry that he might lose this fight and he hated to lose. Gakus hands and feet became that of a dragon's and they both rushed towards each other then they got close they clinched hands fighting for strength. Gaku became madder and madder Musuko seen then and took advantage and threw Gaku into the air but Gaku was hoped not to use this move but looked like he had to. While in the air Gaku huddled together his body became encased in water and yelled out. "Water dragon Water Burst Blade." Musukos eyes widened Gaku let loose this attack Causing a huge explosion of water to spread out. After the attack was over Gaku found himself outside the school in a giant crater he looked behind him and seen big holes in the wall most likely made by him. It seemed it was all a hallucination good thing he got far enough outside of the school before he used his attack. This annoyed him but he had a feeling it wasn't his real brother because that move wouldn't have even easily killed him. Gaku walked away from the area wondering what was going on in this school.

Just now leaving the Hangar Bay, Ben felt it just before it happened. A wave of fear so strong, there was no way to avoid it. The strange thing about it though, was the fact that the source of the fear had vanished but there was still a link present.

But in the midst of Ben sensing this, he fell into the same pattern of fear. A giant black bear, which was the size of a stree light, had appeared in front of him. His mother and father's face were seen in the bears chest cavity and Katt and Andy were running towards him. Just before they reached him, the bear devoured them.

It was at that moment that Ben felt a burst of magical, mental energy erupt from him. He felt the fear expand from him, boosted by the effects of the link he sensed before. Ben could feel every person that his fear was reaching and that it extended far outside of the school.

He felt it when the fear hit a small coffee shop in the near by town and when it washed across the quaint, little surburb a few blocks later. He didn't know how to stop himself. Itwas almost like he had no control. The mall was then enveloped. It was sheer chaous.

In his room, Greg had dozed off. All of a sudden he felt such a wave of fear that it jolted him out of his slumber and a flash of lightning streaked across the sky. Greg didn't know what was going on. His room was filled crocodiles when and there was nowhere for him to run to because the rest of the room suddenly vanished.

Panic instantly over took him and more flashes of lightning and thunder bursted. Greg shot bolt after bolt of lightning at the giant lizards but it appeared to do little, if any, harm to them. He was looking for a place to get away and that was when a window appeared out of thin air behind him. He tossed himself threw it and realized that he was falling.

He was screaming with every ounce of breath that he had. It hit him how ever that he could use a burst of wind to soften the landing. Never attemping it before, he aimed a funnel of wind below him and summoned as much as he could muster. Unfortunately, Greg didn't stop falling. In fact, he never seemed to reach the ground and the crocs were slowly making their way towards him.

Andy was proud of himself. He had a pretty decent amount of clothes and still had a nice chunk of change left. Leaving out of the Areopostal store, he was about to go to the store Katt said she'd be in but saw her walking out with a few bags herself. Just then, screams broke out all over the mall.

Andy didn't know what was going on and started to run over to Katt but was bumped by a woman who was bloodied up and had scratches all over her face. When Andy turned to see what she was running from, he saw one of the people who had attacked the downtown area a few years back and killed his parents. That was when the scene shifted and it truned into that frightful day.

First, Andy thought that he had caused a time ripple and tried to shift time back but nothing happened. That was when he got scared. "What's going on, Katt?" There was panic clear in his voice.

Caleb was waiting in the jet when a bunch of frogs appeared out of no where. He screamed and hopped up hin a chair. "Somebody get 'em. Somebody get 'em. Somebody get 'em," he repeated over and over again.

Uriah looked over to him and saw nothing but a pitbull growling at him. "Whoa," he yelped as he jumped over his seat and made his way out of the jet. He was stumbling and falling all over the place.

Ben tried to get a hold of himself. If he didn't, things would just get increasingly worse. So, in a last ditch effort, he casted a simple spell. All but forgetting the giant bear, continuosly reminding himself that it wasn't real, teleported himself above the school. What he saw was utted chaous. There was a few times that he almost got zapped by a bolt of lightning and saw that it was coming from a kid who was floating in the sky. There was a startling funnel of wind forming under him and that only served to steel Ben in what he had to do.

Flying higher into the sky to get a better reach, he sensed the presence of the one who was boosting his very own abilities. The effects were not as potent and it felt as if the man was simply an echo of what could have been but still, there was something than needed to be done.

Ben's eyes shifted to pure black. This often meant that he was drawing on a great amount of power. He held his hands up and whispered, "Sleep..."

A blue mist formed around his hands. Uttering it again, "Sleep...,"the mist flowed from his hands and mouth quickly and silently and stalked towards the school. Saying it one final time, "Sleep...," the blue mist gained in speed and quantity until it engulfed the entire area the fear outbreak was present in. People began to gradually fall into a deep slumber.

The boy who was flying in the air a causing the dangerous weather snak slowly back to the ground and fell asleep. All of the people all over the school suddenly layed down and fell asleep, as well. Over in the neighboring town, the chaous soon gave way to the blue mist and everything instantly quieted down and everyone fell asleep as well.

Ben could feel the fear effect end as soon as the people went to sleep. When everything was quiet and Ben could concentrate again, he casted another spell:

"Let the objects of objection
Become but a dream,
As I cause the seen
To be unseen."

All of the resulting fires and car accidents were magically put out and cleaned up. All of the broken windows were fixed and everything that was not where it should have been was returned to its rightful place. In one final mass spell, Ben sent out a huge healing spell that reached everyone that the blue mist touched. It was a specific spell that only fixed anyone who was affected and in turn were caused harm by the fear outbreak.

That was what drained Ben and he himself fell to the ground hard and fell into a deep sleep that was nothing more than him regaining his energy. The sleep spell only lasted for as long as it needed to and everyone would awaken when they felt ready to.

Bonnie sees the mist coming and sinks into the ground rising up near Anthony, she is tired from such a distance, but still strong enough to keep the boy from interfering.

Anthony is standing in a crowd nearby the coffee shop, watching his sister and the one called Lance, distrusting him.

Janet rolled her eyes knowing that they wouldn’t tell her who had done this. They were only concern about their own affairs. “Let’s go Harkin. It’s clear they aren’t going to say who. On the other hand it is clear Wraith had nothing to do with this. Back to earth we go. …one more thing. I wouldn’t take one if I was you. I’ve seen that look of yours before. They belong to Artemis and she’ll hunt you down till your 90 years old on your deathbed. “
