Well, normally takes an eye contact. Symbiotes do not really have eyes.. or more like their eyes are made of the same goo the rest of their.. erm.. bodies made off.
Pressure points? When? Maybe on Gargan but he's a loser everything that doesnt work on oldschool Venom and Carnage works on Gargan. Gargan was hurt when Namor and Spider-man ripped his toungue off and Ms Marvel managed to break the bond between him and the symbiote by pulling him hard enough.
Heck I doubt the pheromones would work. They're chemicals, right? And symbiotes were shown to be immune to chemicals, toxins etc. But I wont insist as noone ever tried that on Brock before. Just saying that things that worked on Gargan might not work on the real Venom.
When was the last time he used them in a fihgt? Against Spider-man? He uses them like once out of 15 times he fights.

They did and you can't just make an imaginary immunity now. Nate was kinda impressed by Daken's pheromones.
I think he used them against the FF recently. You need to exclude the instances written by writers that have no clue about his powerset and when he loses a fight on purpose. Also, you need to consider that it doesn't need to stated on panel every single time he uses them.
