Failing to kill the Phantom Stranger isn't a low showing for the Spectre.
The Presence wouldn't allow the PS to be destroyed, even though apparently He wasn't paying attention to DOV (until Nabu died and He was moved to intervene) he still passively protected the Phantom Stranger.
Besides, comparing the Phantom Stranger to the Cancerverse beings is inherently flawed as per Blackest Night where it was revealed that the Phantom Stranger is completely divorced from concepts like life and death: he's a Stranger to them.
Personally I'd like to see what his relationship is (if any) to Death of the Endless.
Originally posted by Omega VisionIt isn't a high showing either. The presence wasn't even involved until Nabu died so don't act like he protected Ps. No, the Spectre just didn't have the power to do so.

Just saying Thanos can kill those unkillable whereas the Spectre has even admitted he probably couldn't at that point in time.
Are you saying no one can kill the Ps ?

The Phantom Stranger has a continuing long-term protection on the Presence, the Presence doesn't have to be directly involved in order for him to be protected. There's varying levels of unkillability, and PS is very high up among them.
The Phantom Stranger can't be killed this is spelled out quite clearly all the time. Hes not like Thanos or Deadpool who just don't happen to die because of one entity's deal with them.
PS is a multiversal entity that is literally immune to the concepts like life or death he doesn't know them because they can't effect him anyway. I could post scans of this but I'm sure you would just try and equate it to something Thanos has done just because it best suits your argument.

his own immortality wasnt what made him able to deliver permanenet death to the immortal. death banned him from her realms, which made him immortal, she also gave him the power to kill the immortal (even in a universe without death) as he is her avatar. he has shown this power on panel. presumably, his attacks carry Death's touch, as it were.of course, the spectre, if backed by the presence, outranks thanos since the presence outranks death, so it wont work on him and thanos wouldnt have the raw power to drop him to begin with
So has he only shown this ability in the cancerverse?
Quan: You'd have to prove that PS was killable by Thanos. No ABC logic pls.

MAYBE WF Mxy or someone like that, but that's still a big maybe.

Even if Thanos is as unkillabe as the PS, turning him into a mouse still counts as a win
Besides, assuming a neutral setting Spectre wouldn't have to send him to Mistress Death's realm, just send him to Hell.

He was hoping that messing with the laws of magic enough/eliminating magic would eventually leave him killable.
