Zelda Movie

Has any one heard that there is going to be a Zelda movie being made and Peter Jackson might direct it?

thats sad. would it be animated or real acters?

Ooh, they should do the whole thing from top view, like the original Zelda game.

Could this be another rumor? Like, it seems with the success of Peter Jackson there are a whole lot of similar such fantasy and magic movies that people are saying "I heard Peter Jackson is going to direct it" to. Is there an article or anything?

I haven't heard anything about it but I don't think they should have a Legend of Zelda movie. First off, would it be animated or live action? If it's live action who should play it? There have been so many Zelda games that it would be difficult for anyone to swing that Master Sword.......hehe..... The other thing is that should the characters have a vioce? If they do it may completly destroy or at least redefine everyone's opinion toward's the characters we love and hatre. Third off, how many other games-to-film have there been? I can only think of Alone in the Dark and Tomb Raider and I can say for sure that Alone in the Dark sucked. I mean why have a sex scene where the woman keeps her bra on!? I haven't seen Tomb Raider so I can't really say. Sigh, anyway, I think it's a bad idea.

A Zelda movie would be wonderful! Have voices though!

What if Uwe Boll did a Legend of Zelda movie?

How would you feel? imagine if he added matrix shots and video game footage from a Zelda game into the movie with Paris Hilton as Zelda?

my idea for a zelda movie

alright check it out! ive been thinkin about a zelda movie since i played lttp. and i was a little kid back then. ive had a few years to think about it. now, ive been workin a story line for a couple years now. and it wasnt till tonight that i found all the info to complete it. its not perfect yet but here it goes. u guys are right it has to be PERFECT, no f ups. and after thinkin about it, it also has to be at least 2-3 movies like lord of the rings. and my idea is that in the 1st one he's just starting out, hes not really sure of himself, and hes just starting to realize his potential. in the 2nd one hes developing his skills and becoming a better warrior. then in the 3rd one he a BAD ASS, plain and simple. he's become the hero, he knows it, he knows what his duty is and hes goin for it balls to the wall. that is just a basic outline of character development within the movies. as far as the story goes. i think it needs to be somewhere along the lines of lttp but with a few other elements from the other games in it. mainly because i think lttp is the best bet when it comes to movies and how a story should pan out. in the 1st one it needs to start out with a little bit of a prequel thing goin on during the credits where both his parents die because ganondorf is waging war on hyrule. his father dies in battle and his mother dies after childbirth, because ganondorf knows that link is being born and he is the only one who can destroy him. but link is saved by whom i dont know, still havent worked it out yet. probably his uncle, hence y he lives with his uncle. anyways, ganondorf is not destroyed but is locked away in the dark world because of the 7 sages or whatever number hollywood comes up with. now this is all during the opening credits so there is no real detail. also what needs to be touched on is how hyrule was made as well as the triforce and the master sword. i sure u guys already know so i dont need to tell it. well anyways, many years pass and link is now a young man, between 17 and 20. reason, this needs to be realistic, no boy is going to battle the forces of evil and win if hes just a little boy. so go along the lines of lttp where he goes to castle rescues zelda takes her to the sanctuary. its at this point u learn whats really going on. that ganondorf is trying to come through again and take control of hyrule. u also learn about links past and how he is apart of a special bloodline and that the ones that have come before have defeated ganondorf, so he really is the hero, but link has doubt he doesnt what this responsibility he just wants to be normal and live a normal life.well he goes out to earn his right to carry the master sword, whether it be through getting the pendants or whatever. this is where he starts to pick up a few special items to help him along the way and he starts to develop his advanced fighting skills, because his uncle did teach him how to fight but he wasnt that skilled himself so link has to learn on his own. basically when he starts off he barely defeats his enemies but towards the end of this movie hes starting to dominate the battlefield. now once he gets the master sword. thats when zelda is kidnapped. link runs to save her again but just like in lttp hes to late. he gets thrown in the dark world. this is where the 1st one ends. in the 2nd one hes trying to find zelda but through his journey he rescues the desendants of the old sages who locked ganondorf into the dark world, because they were used to open up the gateway. this part is a little ruff because basically hes going from dungeon to dungeon getting clues and cool items like power braclets to make him stronger and better body armor which he will need in the last fight. and hes developing his abilities even more. one last thing he is battling is himself, because in the dark world u can be transformed into a beast depending on how negative ur thoughts are. links beast is a wolf, which comes into handy in the 3rd instalment. in the 3rd movie, hes already rescued the maidens hes got all the cool stuff and like i said before hes a bad ass mofo. this is the way the movie starts, big fight scene where hes kickin evil dudes ass all over the place, hes shooting arrows hes throwing boomerangs hes cutting monsters down the whole 9 yards. but heres the thing the light world and the dark world have become one world basically, not entirely, but its on its way to hell in a handbasket, thats basically what link is doing is saving the good people from the bad people in parts of this movie as well as trying to figure out where is ganondorf hiding. wheres his lair at. in these movies u also find out the mythology of the triforce, because 3 bloodlines carry different keys to different pieces of the triforce, ganondorf embodies the piece of power, zelda has the spirit of wisdom, and link has the blood of courage. now if u are familiar with zelda mythology u realize that this is true, it hasnt been milked for all its worth in most of the games but its there. so in this u have a ritualistic ceromony. u need links blood, zeldas spirit, combined with ganondorfs body. and that is how ganondorf plans on getting his hands on the triforce and turning hyrule into the land of complete darkness. so link finds out where ganondorf has been hiding this entire time, he goes after him and falls for the trap, because thats what it was a trap, ganondorf knew he couldnt just capture link, he had to wait for link to come to him. so the ritual is set up and everything is going nicely, basically link dies because they take his blood. well throughout the movies theres been this fairy that link befriended. well eventually it has to give up its life to rejuvenate link back to life. link wakes up as zelda is dying because ganondorf has taken her soul. now this is where link goes apeshit. and the whole wolf thing starts coming out. but zelda telepathically reminds him that evil only begets evil, or something like that. so he keeps in check, but dont think for a second he doesnt put the animalistic strengths to good use for a bit. he wrecks havoc on ganondorfs personal security force, if u wanna call it that. then gets to ganondorf. now just like in lttp, he has the arrows of light or whatever it was called. and they battle it out in this huge,HUGE fight scene between swords and arrows and anything else they can get there hands on. (i have the whole end of the movie in my head, i really cant tell u guys what it is because it would take a whole day to write) but u get the idea. he kills ganondorf, makes a good wish and everything is back to normal. but in the end link is alone, because he knows someday evil will come back again. and he has to be ready. The End. so u guys let me know what u think and if u like it, ill then let u guys know who should play certain key roles.

could you summarize that in point form

or u could just read it so u get a really good idea about what im thinking. it should only take 3-5 min to read and understand it all.

Link would be a new jersey pickpocket with amnesia that finds a sword that actually transforms into a gun that looks like a sword thatgives him the ability to shoot things while seen in 360 degrees. He then realizes he is actually connected into a world that isnt real while his real body is connected to a machine that uses his energy to run a race of robots. Then there is an award winning kung fu special effects sequence where Link kicks a guy in slow motion while the camera spins around him and he falls like, 10 feet. Frickin awesome Boll should direct Final Fantasy the movie.

OH GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

wtf you are talking about?

lol ya wrong thread bud

Wrong thread? Try no thread...

i think that garrett hedlund (troy, friday night lights) would play a great link. i think scarlett johansson (lost in translation) would play a great zelda, and christopher walken would be as ganon.

That is a bit hard to read like that...all in one bunch... 😬 Put it in sections (like paragraphs.)

Sad, but this thread is the reason I joined KMC. Haha.

I like most of Joker817's story, which prompted me to draw the following picture(see attachment).

Yeah, it's a bad pic - I only had 10 minutes, including roughs (minus computer coloring), to work, so yeh. Notice that his left arm is more armored - I figured since he's a lefty, it'd look kind of cool (as well as be sort of useful) to cover and protect his left arm while he's swinging and not defending.

I must say though that I don't think a Zelda movie should be based on a released game. A lot of people draw attachment to the Zelda games because they let their imaginations run circles through it - a movie based on the game release would sort of squelch that.

Anywho, any thoughts?

Lol, Christopher Walken... good times.

I think a mix between WindWaker and OoT Ganondorf would be pretty sweet. I mean, a guy that isn't built and pumped up, but still pretty damn intimidating by sheer size.

It's not sad at all. I wouldn't say that's bad for a second. You said you only had 10 minutes? You did that in 10 minutes, that's awsome in so little time. ✅

I think have more protection on one arm is a neat feature, good thinking. 😎 I would say that an animated film Zelda movie would be a good idea but a lot of people disagree. Why?

Haha, thanks 😄

I think it's an absolute must that, if a Zelda movie is made, it be CGI animated; the whole idea of Orlando Bloom as Link is an insult to the game.

But I don't think they should model it after FF:AC - it'd look like too much of a rip, and it'd make the characters outer features seem too impecable (perfect skin, all that mumbo-jumbo). It'd be nice to see Link growing rough facial hair - not a lot, mind you - to show aging and maturity, that kind of stuff.

I think it'd be pretty nice if it looked like xBox360 Call of Duty 2's animation, which in my opinion, looks far more realistic. The entire story of Zelda (minus goofy side games) is a friggen battle, so I think it's only fitting that they make it look like one.
