Do you think some of that might have to do with Hannibal King have 4 appearances in the last 8 years, where he was little more than a bit player and that Varnae has none?

There isn't a statute of limitations on feats. If there hasn't been a retcon older feats matter just as much as newer ones.

If a character is consistently shown to operate at lower levels than say 20-30 years ago, then they feats aren't really applicable.

Maybe the fact that when he did fight in his comic with Blade he demonstrated none of his old abilities, again read any comic in the last 8 years you won't find the average vampire using those abilities. It's because marvel has cleaned up the vampire corner of the universe and you still haven't proven that there's more evidence of vampires using those abilities than there are of them healing, if you make a claim back it up.

this isnt DC there are no mass universe retcons every 5 yrs... the standard feats regardless of the year are still applicable.

i am aware that a new weaker versions of "vampires" have surfaced in part for blade to fight against and get a comic.
