Finally, yes most Spartan-III are orphans. Unlike the Spartan-II's they weren't kidnapped from home but rather orphaned due to the war, afterwards they joined the Elite rankings of the Spartan-III Project. YAY FOR POOR PUBLIC MANAGEMENT!
