What he has been in what 3 or 4 comics.

He stopped time in the first one.

Beat down a bunch of skyfathers along wiht tanking a bunch of the blast in the same issue.

He then fights ampped Ares while holding back and winning.

Mind the same amp on ares maade Zeus able to bring Galactus to his knees.

so far pretty consistency with a skyfather beign nothing OMG great but yes consisentcy plus the fact we all know Thanos's upgrade from death is he can't die. and his not 100% yet and even if he was he doesn't have enough juice to hurt a skyfather.

Thanos was granted immortality because he was her Avatar, and Death knew of the hardships he would face.

I'm hesitant to believe he is still banished from Death unless she simply wants to make him suffer or has another purpose for him.
