no although a certain amount of skill is used by them! they navigate using the stars. they also call on the random spirtis which walk aboard oon another plane. and they call on the aid of the elements: earth, air fire water, spirit, weather, and some have the ability to control others to do their biding. they also have the power to walk through specific portals and communicate with the elvish kin, whaich are described in the books as "The Lost Ones".

Finished Crime & Punishment this week and I loved it. I'm going to get some more of Dostoyevsky's work, even though the period is completely alien to me I was really drawn in by the story.

For now, I've started the Count of Monte Cristo. Its a big ass book with small text, so I think it'll take a while.
