Florida mom shakes baby to death for interrupting Farmville game

Wow. Maybe the little bastard should have waited until she was done fertilizing her crops! LOL

Seriously, all kidding aside, yeah, this c*nt needs to die a thousand deaths by rabid animals. I mean, it's a f*cking Facebook game, FFS.

I'm reminded of the man who killed his daughter over a broken Xbox 360.

Sad, really. These kids were just in the wrong gene pool at the wrong time.

Government controlled procreation can't arrive soon enough. Any idiot can obtain a license to drive a car or catch a fish, but you don't need one to be a parent.

My first reaction to this when I read the title of the thread was me laughing. I know that's fu*ked up but I'm not going to lie.

As I read what you said I proceeded to laugh more.

But yes, that's pretty fu*cked up right there.

WOW WTF!

Read about this in the semi-local news. Really ****ed up.

I was reading a Wiki article on video game addiction, trying to see if there are related cases, but it seems to me that she is just insane. Like, Andrea Yates insane.

She looks like a crackhead.

Yeah, I don't know how far game addiction goes anymore to be honest. I used to love a couple of video games when I was a teenager, but I eventually quit them, and now a days I might play a game once a month if that. So if there are addictions I'd assume they just disappear eventually. The Farmville thing though, reminds me of South Park.

I've never played a second of Farmville. My wife, however, used to be hopelessly addicted to it. She weaned herself off of it about 3 to 4 months ago.

Right? I also know a lot of girls who hardcore play/played that shit. They would relentlessly send me requests to play it. It got to the point for a friend that I almost cussed her out telling her to stop with that retarded shit. I never understood what was so cool about making a farm. Maybe they could, you know build a garden in real life then play Farmville IRL

Farmvilles a lame game. Its an ok game to play if your about to die of bordom and you want to click your mouse about a thousand times until you get carpletunnel syndrome in your hand but its nothing to ever kill over.
(unless you go insane from bordom, but thats still wrong)

Did you see the episode of Intervention on A&E about video game addiction? The kid in that particular episode made a world record for playing DDR for 24 straight hours.

My opinion, however, is that some people are genuinely addicted to video games. I have read too many articles about people who play MMORPG's like WoW, Everquest, Starcraft, etc, for 50+ hours and then go into cardiac arrest and die. Sadly enough, there are articles about children who commit suicide or homicide because their parents restrict them from playing games like Halo 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 and 2. (Although, I will say that this is largely the parents' fault, IMO.)

No. I'm just not too into reality TV. However, the episode does sound somewhat intriguing. I mean, he seriously played Dance Dance Revolution for 24 hours?

I honestly don't see how a game is that important though where they can't get away. I was ranked number 1 in the world in a couple of RTS games for a while, and although as a teenager it was liek OH SHIT COOL BRO, I still had to get away to do real life shit. Idk, just confuses me totally. I know what you're talking about though.

He most certainly did. And video-taped the entire thing. I'm sure you could find the episode on youtube.

I wonder if videogame addiction is a true addiction, or is it just a dumb excuse like "sex addiction". I'll be honest, I have a lot of trouble buying into either one.

I made a similar thread in the Video Game Forum. Personally, I feel that video game addiction is very real. Still, it's never a cop out when a woman shakes an infant to death simply because it won't stop crying.

To me, if the attorneys try to make this an "addiction leading to insanity case", then it's no different than all of the parents who blamed Marilyn Manson's and KMFDM's music for the Columbine Massacre.

I almost broke my monitor one time playing wow.

Stay out of my room when im doing PVP

You must have some high class crack heads in your area 😂 She might be an addict but she aint suckin on the glass dlck. Looks like she was an irresponsible parent that lost control. Was it bound to happen? Maybe, but even with that lazy eye she looks far more coherent than some of the useless drones whom walk around this city transporting their children around like their frivolous things. Nearly every day that i pass through the city, i am guaranteed to witness some little child that is nearly killed by dumbass parents. This was not due to the fault of Farmville there is no reason why Farmville should even be focused upon. The problem here is the current moral integrity of our society.

I think it's funny that there is a twitter link right next to her picture.

I agree that adults should be licensed before they can have children.

On top of that, they should have to pass a modified MMPI-2 RF (the one with the RC scales). Additionally, all children should have an implant, at birth, that prevents them from having any children and it is deactivated once they get their license (which occurs after they meet a certain level of on the modified MMPI-2 RF test). Fascist? Maybe. Perfect for preventing people from having children that should not? Almost completely. I guess, for kids, an MMPI-A could be used...but that's only if you live in Yemen and need to consummate a marriage with a 9-year-old (yes, that does happen...and...yes, some of those little girls die from it)?

I would want to make this process global.

Yes, I am serious.
