Victor had begun to turn the moment the creature had entered his range of vision, which extended in all directions thanks to his Thousand Eyes. He only had one active, but that was usually enough. By the time he turned, however, flinging out a hand and opening his book again, Xepher had already blown the Kusamara to pieces. For a moment, again thanks to the Eyes, Victor thought he saw the man's eye twitch after the shot. Not many people Victor knew were so eager to kill something. Putting it down to nervousness, Victor turned his head to face Xepher despite it being unnecessary. "Ah," he said, "Looks like you've paid me back already. And you're gun seems to have recovered just in time; stalled, did it?" Victor waved a hand dismissively. The man probably didn't want to admit that he ran away. "Regardless, thank you for your help. I'd be quite glad if you joined me, actually. Though I don't really know where I'm going next...Oh, hold on,"
Without turning his head, Victor held out his arm, allowing the messenger bird to land on it. Absently, Victor replaced his book and retrieved the piece of paper and, bringing one his Eyes closer, read it aloud.

"Greetings, I am Geol. I message to relay to you orders from another. The city of Merecrest is suspected to soon fall under a great conflict. Do not enter this area. Instead, please come to my location. I am in the town of Jakara; East of Tarenhold. We shall discuss the future plans and the wishes of our Goddess, Makku."

Victor smiled lightly. "Well, it looks like we have a goal now, and just in time, too." Victor folded up the piece of paper, placing it in a pocket. Next, he retrieved his book and opened it, then faced Xepher. "It's not too far, especially my way." Blue light exploded from the page in Victor's hands, and seeped into Xepher. It was a spell to enhance a person's speed, the same one he'd used on himself moments before. "We'll be there in no time," Victor assured Xepher. "Let's be off."

Xepher gave Victor a knod and he started to run off towards Jakara he kepped his speed to a standard for a normal person with enhanced speed. In his mind he couldn't wait to start killing he could have taken Victor out but he liked a challenge and he liked to kill multiple things. To take his mind off of it he started to talk to Victor talking would calm him. "Victor it is real late if anything we might make it there by tommorrow hopefully we won't be attacked if that were the case we would be slowed down." Xepher wanted to get there quick so he made sure that they wouldn't be attacked the aura he projected alerted every creature near not to come towards them. "So Victor tell me something about yourself"

"General," a woman begins to speak. Her clothing is much like the Archmages from outside as is the custom of Jakara. Beneath her hood which she has pulled just above her head is very light blonde hair as if almost white. Her eyes themselves are white as the moon itself, though the pupil is still separated clearly from the rest of the eye. A man seems to cut of her off.

"I know Akashi." The man replies to her with a smile. He appears to be in his mid-twenties but that is a clear lie of magic. His body has been altered to the point of looking young, despite his greater age. His hair is black yet spreads thick and blue eyes shine like an everested pool of water. His clothing does differ from the natives as it is a thick white cloth over most of his body. His torso consists of a thick white cloth which moves down nearly to his knee's like a jacket. At the end of both sleeves is a black fabric which is tightly tied around the clothe to cut it off though leaving a bit of baggage, his hands are nicely gripped because of it. Beneath the white clothe at his chest is a black shirt which is made from similar fabric as the one around his wrists. Beneath his waist, he wears white clothe pants which leave a bit of extra baggage, all of this despite his extremely fit body. He wear's a belt of black clothe around his waist though only beneath the white jacket, and he wears' black combat boots which have a unique stature to them. They seem rather more fit then bulky as most boots might be. On his right hip, a blade rests. The blade ends at a curve back making it only damaging on one side as it has a larger guard as well to protect the hand. "I shall go meet them." The male turns to the door and pushes it open with both hands, appearing to be two doors which open wide. The sun open's its mystical glow onto his eyes as he looks across Jakara. The male smiles greatly in hope that this will be what he was waiting for. He steps from the house toward the two known as Regelion and Madison. "Greetings Followers of Makku, I am glad to welcome you to Jakara, Home of the Followers of Makku and the last bastion of safety in all of the world." The male offers his right hand to the two, first to Regelion as he only seems to be like a leader of the two. "I am Geol, some know me as General however, I have no army any longer. I am the one who called you here."

Regelion shook the mans hand looking around it seemed like him and Madison wghere the first people there. He hated being early, Goel made them comfortable before he left. But Regelion still had so much energy he wanted to burn off so he wanted to go down into the forest to fight some creatures. He liked to train the reason he trained is to make sure he would suitable to be Madisons husban because if he wasn't able to protect her then he failed as her fiance. But he felt if she couldn't take out an easy enemy then she would have to train hard to be suitable to be his wife. He walked over to Madison kissed her on her for head and said something to her. "Ill be back don't wait up gotta do something so you don't need to make yourself too sexy tonight even thought your sexy everynight Love you." Regelion walked out of where Madison was towards the edge of Jakara he had seen a bunch of Inu roaming around the forest. Regelion took a deep breath and instead of letting Jakara teleport him back down he jumped pulling out his weapons in mid air. The Inu looked up just in time to see Regelions blade slice it in half he used his Kama to stod his fall and began attacking the Inu in the area.

The Next Day

Regelion laied against a tree in the forest as the sun began to rise to a new day it was around 6am and he was covered in Inu blood. He was kind of tired but it didn't faze him in front of him was a pile of inu 7 feet hight. Regelion pointed his hand at the pile of Inu and they burst into fire and began to trun into dust he was happy he made it safer for people to pass throught the area without being attacked by Inu. Regelion stood up and was instantly telelported back to the city of Jakara it didn't faze anyone thart he was covered in blood they Believed Goddess Makku would save him. He walk to the room Geol left them in and he headed straight to the shower.

"So Victor tell me something about yourself"

Victor nodded to Xepher at the request. The man was right, it was still a ways to Jakara. He decided to voice the theory he'd been working on. "I suppose a story could help pass the time. Very well. If it would interest you, I've been thinking about this Von Karma figure. I believe he is the one to blame for my blindness."
Victor gestured to his his blindfold, with the barely visible streaks of blackness running beneath the cloth.
"It was shortly after the first Orbs appeared, and before the creatures of Deru turned against us. I'd discovered an Orb, one I now know to be a Dark Orb, and tried to study it. I managed to learn several techniques with it, even combining it wih my magic. I was performing a routine experiment when it happened."
Victor sighed and touched the blindfold. He felt the magic weaved into it under his fingertips, a protective spell that could guard against hostile forces. His Thousand Eyes floated nearby, the only things that could allow him to see.
"I can only assume that Von Karma was performing his own experiments at the same time. You see, when I tried to use the Dark Orb, I felt a presence; it was an outside influence, and it did something to me. I fear that it was the Desolation Orb that Makku spoke of. The day the creatures of Deru attacked was the same day lost my sight. The Dark Orb just...reacted. Maybe Von Karma and I were doing the same thing, I don't know. But the Dark Orb was acting strange, so I tried to control it, call it back to myself."
Victor forced himself to take a deep breath.
"It did come back, and hit me. Right between the eyes. And then it...well, I'm not sure. All I know is that when I woke up, the Orb was gone, and I couldn't see."
With a growl, Victor forced the next words out. It was clear he longer cared about passing the time. He just wanted this off his chest.
"I later learned that it was still with me. It fused with me, inside my head, through my eyes. Anything I looked at was blasted with dark power, and I couldn't see what was happening. I hurt people. I listened to their screams. And the Orb in my head didn't even allow me to cry for them! I couldn't help them. I couldn't heal them. My magic suffered; I couldn't read my spellbooks. I was a book mage who couldn't even read! But I did manage to make this blindfold. It keeps the Dark Orb at bay, and keeps me from hurting people. I taught myself to read despite my blindness; it's my own system, a way to put raised dots on the paper and feel them. I studied more, asking help from anyone I could. That's how I got my other Orbs. The Illusion Orb could help me see, so I mastered it quickly. The Time Orb I found with help."
At that point Victor realized he was rambling, and to a man he'd just met, too. He didn't think the man would even care, but Victor still felt relieved from just saying it. He felt as if he wasn't alone somehow, now that someone else knew his story.
"Um, sorry," Victor finished awkwardly. "But I made a vow not to fail myself or anyone else again. Von Karma did this to me, and I have to kill him to keep that vow. I will kill him."

After that, Victor stayed mostly silent. They reached Jakara the next morning, and Victor settled into the room given him by Geol, exchanging only the smallest amounts of conversation. He couldn't explain it, but now Victor felt more vulnerable than ever. He'd opened himself up more than he ever had before, so maybe it was normal, but he still shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right.

Speculum sat unmovingly in front of the small tornado that had formed during the ritual. He was dressed in the flowing cloth of Tempest. The rune covered second skin was manufactured in a way that made it so light that few people noticed it while wearing it. But on the downside it provided practically no protection from physical harm at all. Speculum's eyes were closed and for once he seemed at peace with himself and the world. The cave he was sitting in, disconnected one from the outside of the world. Usually the wind would have howled in and out of the cave through masterfully placed holes in the rock. But now the wind rushed into the cave from all holes to form the tornado that swirled about only a few centimeters away from Speculum. The art of wind smithery was hard to master and only practiced by leaders. Slowly the tornado became man-sized. Speculum opened his eyes and stood up. The wind stopped completely now, only the tornado was still moving. Without hesitation Speculum stepped forward into the cone of wind.

When their new leader stepped out of the cave of the thousand winds, the villagers of Tempest bowed deeply. He was clad in entirely white armour, which stood in a contrast with the black Tempest silk and cape. On his back was a blade that gleamed in the rising sun. Speculum's face was free of armour and his eyes swept over his hunters. Then the crowd parted and he walked back to the center of the platforms. Two figures awaited him there: the eldest and the windtamer. He took his place to the right of his grandfather as the ceremonial words were spoken: "The eldest shall raise our children. The leader shall command them on the hunt. The windtamer shall bond them with the wind and teach them of respect for their prey." Those were their tasks. Speculum now was what others might call Tempest's general.

The New Day

Naiyao had come a long way from Merecrest after the long battle. Her memories had served as strong reminders why she had to keep moving and never stop. Her horse was well fed when they had set out that morning. As the sound of the horse's hooves rode hard against the path, Naiyao's eyes had opened. Her horse came to an abrupt halt. As she looked over the fields in the distance... she saw a terrifying sight. "Is this an effect of Von Karma's influence..?" She did not think to wait as there would be nobody to answer. She turned her path and rode directly for Jakara, off the beaten path. Time was running out.

Madison hardly slept at all she was worried about Regelion the whole night, the room that she was staying in was huge it was as big as their home in the village, the beds linen was the softest she'd ever felt and the decor of the room was beautiful but she could only think about the trouble her love could be in, he some times was over zealous and that got him into trouble most times. With a sigh she paced back in forth trying to resist the temptation of going out and making sure he was alright, he was a man and he had to have his own space some times, she knew that but still Rege acted like a child some times and needed her to bail him out of situations he caused. Madisons ears picked up when she heard Regelion walk in the door and straight of the shower, he was covered in blood that didn't smell like his and he seemed to be in one piece. Madison walked to the bathroom door and leaned against it, "Hey, Rege I'm going out for a bit to look around the shops, meet me when your down." Madison said then left the room.

Xepher listened to Victor his story seemed interesting but all it made him want to do is force Victor to fail in his mission. For Xepher he felt Death was the answer to most of lifes questions and he loved to be the guy who delivers it. They had finally reached Jakara the next day and Xepher was amazed Von Karma had sent Inu and other creatures to help find the location of Jakara but non where able to find it not even those who flew. It seemed the Jakara was hidden with a invisible senseless magic wall. Xepher knew it was almost time to start his rampage buyt he wanted make sure everyone was around him so they will be able to see the others die before there very eyes. After being shown his room by Geol he took out his assualt rifle and started taking it apart and putting it back together.

Regelion was finally finished with his shower and came out with a towel covering his lower half, the water glisening on his muscly skin and steam from his body flying off into the air. He quickly got dressed putting on his scarf, pants, Sneakers, Weapons in the pouch on his back and his metal Gauntlet. The gauntlet was very important to him it was given to him by his father before he passed away. After suiting up he walked outside and spotted his lover he creaped up on her from behind and held her around her waist his head caressed next to hers holding both their bodies close together as he whispered in her ear. "I missed you last night beautiful." He then kissed the side of her neck ever so lightly and wondered what she was up to.

The Planning Begins

Naiyao had rode fast toward Jakara, not allowing herself to break for rest nor food. The hooves of her horse struck hard against the ground which left prints of its movement in the soft sections of the ground. Naiyao's eyes were set, her mind was set, her very dedication was locked on the thought of the Revolution.

After a great time of traveling.. Her body broke the invisibility defense aura that Jakara had sent out when she passed it (this does not literally break it, she simply entered it). Jakara could not be seen by anything more than a mile away from its border. Within Jakara, there was a faint light, as if something mythic were soon to happen. Naiyao seemed distrusting as she saw this but continued to ride for the right intervention point. Soon later, she was within reach of its grasp and a divine light seemed to shine over her body. She disappeared into the light along with her horse.

Upon reappearing, she now stood within the center of Jakara. Beautiful she thought. She began to walk forward to move into the town further but was caught by a voice that she heard from a short distance. It was a familiar voice.

"Naiyao!" called Geol with a proud shout. It was her long time comrade in the Nations Army, Geol. Sense the beginning of Von Karma's Revolt against the Goddess Makku, Geol had begun his own revolution.. against Von Karma. He had sent countless letters to the colonies in search of Naiyao as he knew that the Alliance would need her assistance. After finally making contact with the letters while in Kadavar, she responded back in urgent mail to Geol stating the condition of the Army and of the new worlds order. They had in secrecy been planning this meeting for a great deal of time. Geol approaches Naiyao with open arms and greets her with a hug. She accepts this and hugs him back. After making physical contact, they step back and perform the traditional greeting of those among the Nation's Army. "So I take it as your journey here was enjoyable?"

"I can't say it didn't have its moments.. but there is no time for this now" Naiyao quickly begins to remember why she is there. "Geol, have the others arrived?"

"I have sent word out to the others." Geol states to her. "A few of the Orb Users have arrived already, and I have sent word to the City Rulers who are in our favor. But for now we only have Kadavar and Merecrest."

Naiyao begins to think for a moment, then turns toward him quickly with an idea. "Has a boy named Victor yet arrived?"

"Yes" responds Geol, Naiyao gives him no time after to say anything else.

"He is from the village of Tarenhold I believe." Naiyao seems to unfold a plan to Geol, and he listens. It is easily seen the confidence that he has in her, as most of the other soldiers have had. "Have you yet contacted the outer Colonies and requested their aid like I asked you previously?"

"We have attempted.. yet still no response." Naiyao becomes on edge because of this. Why would they not respond? This was an uncertain matter yes, but the country would have to band together to fight this threat.

"Call an assembly of all those present in Jakara." Naiyao begins to revise her previously made plans. "We have to get more cities on our side before we even begin the revolution."

"Right, I'll get started on it immediately." They both bow to each other once more and part ways. Naiyao directs herself toward the public rest area to calm herself for a few moments while an announcement goes out throughout the Jakara. All residents hear the announcement.

"All Citizen's of Jakara. An Urgent meeting will be held in the square in precisely Thirty Minutes. Again, this is an Urgent Meeting. Thank you."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raggo's plans are going perfectly. The best thing of it all is that nobody has a clue of his actions or what the truth behind his plan is. He rides now in his carriage toward the Shrine of Diana. This was an unmarked location on any map and it held no significance to many people.. So what would it possibly have for a man like Raggo? He grins evily as he plans out his next several moves.

Victor knelt in the middle of a circle of salt. Seven candles burned in a starlike pattern around him, their positions alternating between inside and outside the circle. An open book sat in front of Victor, and with it were the remainder of Victor's Orbs. Time and Illusion. They were both inactive, so the Thousand Eyes were gone for now. Victor was in darknes and he had no need to see it. He still wore the blindfold, unable to risk removing it and exposing the world to his curse.
Their power of the Orbs was useful, but it was all Victor could do to hold on to them. There was always the contant fear that something would happen that would worsen his condition. But the Orbs were his only way to see the world, the only things keeping him able to function. With them, he could read. With them, he could perform his magic.
Victor jumped when he heard the announcement, then decided he had enough time to finish his meditation. "I'll be getting there..." he murmured to himself. When the time came, Victor stood up and proceeded to clean the room, replacing the candles where they belonged and clearing the salt. He again felt charged, as these rituals were slowing increasing his magical capacity. It was time for the meeting, Victor supposed. He started off, finding the square easily enough. "So," he said to himself. "What's going on here?"

Madison smiled, she could smell Regelion from a mile away not to mention if a stranger had put a hand on her their hand would be nothing but ash. "and I you," she whispered back letting him hold for a moment longer before stepping out of his loving arms. She was looking at some small trinkets and jewelery before Regelion had came, she was interested in a few but she had no time for useless things such as jewelery they were just fun to look at or at least she told herself that.
Twenty minutes past after the announcement. "Hmm...It's almost time lets find our way to the meeting love," Madison said. She knew they were not citizen's of Jakara but she felt they should go and help if they needed. They soon found themselves in the square with some others but one stands out, a man with a blind fold over his eyes.

As the residents who stand within Jakara meet in the square, Geol approaches. He finds a curiosity at the actions of others, as it would seem that some of the orb users feel that they do not belong yet came anyways. He thought over what he should say. The battle may not begin today but if the war was to be won, they would have to begin their next moves immediately. Geol stepped forward onto a platform which several Followers of the Goddess stood. He walked toward the edge of it. For a moment he closed his eyes.

"People of Jakara.." he said with at first a soft voice. Quickly, his voice began to gain tone, as if he would rise to confidence. He spoke with a strong and confident tone. "A dark time is upon us. A war is coming, but this is not a war between two nations.. This is a war of Fate.. On one side of fate is the light that shines above, the Goddess Makku who watches over and protects us all. She has appeared to us and asked us for our help. On the other side, stands the dreaded foe known only as Von Karma.. who would see us all dead or enslaved!"

Geol takes a quick breath, then crosses his arms. He stares at the men and women who stand before him. More have arrived.. not just Followers of the Goddess, but Orb users and even people who are here who have no where else to go. He looks out at their faces and he is inspired.

"I used to be known as one of the greatest generals of the Deru Army. I served to protect the everyone, because I was a soldier." He stands like an official at first, but his stance shifts. He seems more casual now, less like a soldier.. and more like a being with pride. "But this is no more. Now, I am a man. A man who would give his life to protect Deru from anyone who may see to cause it harm. I do not call you here today to join in a Battle of Blood and Glory.. I do not call you here, to fight against a threat for victory. I call you here to ask you to fight, for the lives and the freedom of those whom you love.. To fight against the forces that Von Karma will send against us and to bring back the Deru that we know and love! I have known many of you for years, and some of you I am meeting for only the first time. I will not force you to fight beside me. If you do not wish to fight, I will not make you leave. I gladly offer you a home in Jakara and I will still raise my blade to protect you from this dark foe. But if you do choose to join in the fight... Then we shall fight, and fight hard. We shall break the hold that Von Karma keeps on this land and we will restore the peace that Deru so rightly deserve..." Geol finishes speaking and he waits to see if anyone has anything to say.

Madison felt inspired by Geol speak, her warrior blood was now pumping through out her body and now she was itching for a battle and she knew Regelion would fell the same way. In truth Madison rather peace over war but there is no peace as long as someone like Von Karma had power. Madison through her fist in the air and yelled, "FOR DERU!" many of the people in the square followed her example and yelled out as well. Madison was glad to see the people standing up to fight for there freedom and fight for there peace.

A young mage from Sol'nube appeared in the mages quarters, she is badly injured but still stands. Her robes of white and yellow were stained with blood and the crest of Sol'nube on her chest was slashed and covered in blood. She holds grim news from her kingdom and had to speak to some one fast, she walked out of the building she appeared in and made her way to the town square using her staff to help keep her from falling. It was not long when she made it to the edge of the crowd, she tried to make herself known but people were so loud in their cheer that they did not take notice, the mage felt a wave of pain go up her body it hurt so bad that it caused her to lose balance and fall to the ground. Madison noticed the mage in the corner of her eye and rushed to the fallen woman, she then noticed the mage was soaked in blood and badly wounded. Madison went to her knees and looked over the womans injuries the worst one was the slash on her chest, she ripped the robe open and took a piece of it and applied pressure on the wound, a woman civilian finally noticed and screamed for help the cheers quiet down and healers start rushing over. "Don't worry you'll be ok," Madison speaks to the woman to trying keep her calm. The mage grabs on to a strap around Madison's chest and pulls her close to her face, "I'm not important... I need you to give a message to General Geol right now, tell him Sol'nube has fallen to Von Karma...the people have formed a rebellion but we are being slaughter by a powerful orb user that wields a scythe." The mage moans in pain and Madison is pushed aside by the healers as they work to try to save the mage. Madison leaves Regelion in the crowd and starts to jump over the people and makes to Geol side, she tells the General everything the mage told he"What should we do?" she asks the man hoping he would know.

Davis stands out side of the destroyed mages quarters of Sol'nube, he tried to them from sending a massager but failed. The mages blew the room up in an attemp to take Davis' life with them but the scythe wielder was able to port to the safely away.
Von Karma had sent men and creatures to the city to ensure their fall but the men started to attack the towns people and the creatures started to feed on them as well. Thats when the city formed a rebellion and tried to storm the castle. Davis quickly pushed them back littering the palace floor with blood and corpses, Davis didn't mind the blood shed but Von Karma's men acted like dumb asses and now they had to fight to regain control over the city when he'd already conquered it. Davis was deep in thought when the leader of the dumb asses came to report the situation of the cities rebellion, "Sir the rebellion were pushed back the the cities gates, they surrendered and now we hold them captive, what shell we do with them?" the man asks. "Kill them all, so the rest of the city what happens when they try to fight back," Davis says not hesitating in his decision. The man bows and hurries to sand the message of death, Davis walks back to his throne room now surrounded by creatures and Von Karma's men, they cheer for Davis but this only annoys the boy. "Your a monster, the goddess shell purge you all from this world!" the king yells fighting against his chains. Davis looks furious and walks to the fallen king, "the goddess? she is selfish and only acts when she is threaten! where was she when I slaughter your men and took the throne! where is she now when her followers blood soak the streets of your ruined kingdom!" Davis yells showing his anger. "and what will you Lord Von Karma do once he is ruler? will he protect his followers or will he enslave them and kill the ones who refuse?!" the king lashes back. Davis balled is hand into a fist but holds his wrath, "take this man to the dungeon I will not tolerate his foolishness no longer!" Davis turns and walks to the throne as four men take the king out of the throne room. Von Karma is a fool to think he would ever rule this world, the man is just a means to an end, Davis thinks to himself sitting on his throne once more.

Victor reacted instantly, moving towards the injured woman. He called another of his Thousand Eyes into existence and instructed it to zoom in on her wounds. Victor moved closer and was forced to shove one of the other healers out of the way, with a quick apology. "I know how to heal this," he said quickly. He looked at the wounds, quietly dreading what he was seeing. "She said a man with a scythe; I know him and his work." The wounds were slightly edged with black, and burned. Only one scythe Victor knew could do that. It was a Dark Orb, combined with a Lightning Orb, and difficult to heal. Luckily, Victor knew the Dark Orb, and his healing magic was top notch, however much good it did on his eyes. Victor placed his hands on the wounds, and channeled power into them, closing them. He wrestled with the burns and dark power, and worked a counterspell into the healing. Eventually, the wounds were completely eliminated. "Get somewhere safe," Victor said. With a quick gesture, he infused the Illusion Orb into a spell, and mimicked the robe the woman had been wearing before Madison tore it open to examine the wounds. "The clothes aren't real," he whispered so that only the woman could hear. "They'll last for a day at most, so I'd gets some more soon."
Victor stood up, and rushed over to Madison and Geol. "Sol'nube, was it? We have to get there as soon as possible. Von Karma won't take another city while I still live. Sorry I couldn't stay long." Victor started off, intending to simply walk ti Sol'nube, alone if necessary. "I won't fail," he growled.

Geol calls out to Victor. "Wait.." he speaks with sympathy for the woman and the city that has fallen. There was still hope, he could see it in the mages eyes. He turned to Naiyao who stood not far away, then approached the group. Geol crossed his arms with a look of justice in his eyes. "I agree that we need to reclaim Sol'nube, but we need to be smart about it." Geol examines the crowd as well as the Orb Users. He came up with an idea. Soon, he began to read out his plan as if from a book to the group.

"We have two targets now, where we had only one before. The City of Malvior has recently been claimed by Von Karma's men. That was the location we planned to take back first, but time is of the essence now. I suggest that we split up our forces into two teams.. One team goes to Malvior and another goes to Sol'nube. We'll take two cities back at once and crush Von Karma's forces as well as build morale." Geol lays out the plan carefully. He describes to the group the conditions of both cities.

"We should keep teams small to minimize structural damage and keep stealth in key. Team one will consist of these two and myself." Geol directs attention to Regelion and Madison. "We will head for the city of Malvior. If something is not done soon, many of the citizens may be dead before we can make a move. Team two will consist of this these two boys and Naiyao. They will head towards Sol'nube." He had been referring to both Xepher and Victor. "All others in the area should acquaint themselves and prepare. Before we target Von Karma, we will need to free the cities he has under his control. Does anyone have any problems with this arrangement?"

The doors do not seem to open but before Davis' very eyes as he sits at the throne, Raggo appears. He stands just next to the doors, looking at the male and a wicked smirk appears across his face. "Ah.. The Scythe user known as Davis. I congratulate you on your splendid kills." Raggo does not get too close, being sure to remain across the room from the male. He taps his cane lightly on the hard floor thrice. His cold eyes wander through the throne room and with a seemingly sarcastic tone he addresses Davis again. "Surely, you intend to turn over control of this Palace and all of Sol'nube to Lord Von Karma."

Davis sits on the throne unamused by Reggo, the man had no business in Sol'nube and he hated his vocabulary. "go away Reggo this has nothing to do with you, why don't you go write a fancy letter to someone that cares." Davis waved his hand shooing the man like a pest, his other hand finds is scythe just in case the flower man wanted to rumble. Davis sighs expecting the man to not let up and he knew if he killed Reggo Von Karma would throw a fit, "of coarse I'm going to hand over this dumb, why on earth would I do other wise...are you up to something?" Davis raises his brow at the man he is defiantly up to something he thought.

______________

Madison nods her head in agreement, "I'm fine with that. as long as Regelion is." Madison said ready to leave at that moment, they had no more time for words the longer they stayed the more innocent live would be in danger.

Perfect, as Raggo had intended, Davis became suspicious. He began to walk forward though with no intent of harm coming to any inside of the throne room. He stops mere feet from Davis and allows his malicious smirk to cast a shadow of deceit over the prominent male. Raggo had an eye for the intentions of others; as if he could see and reverse the manner at which one may send and re-send, there by making the being whom looked at him with a manner of friendship feel as if they hate him greater than any other. Raggo simply smiled at Davis and began thinking of ways he could harvest this into a victory. "A Fancy Letter you say? Ohh, I may decide to entice this educated assumption of my overall being. The provocative means of your newly obtained demeanor makes me increasingly favored to the enjoyable means of your company. However, I must comply with you're decision and continue the variable assignment of our dear Lord." His words sparked. He had awaited an infuriation exertion from Davis as his demeaning eyes hinted at a previously mentioned notion. He did not move, he simply gazed at Davis for a few moments.

Victor stopped in his tracks, but didn't turn around. An Eye floated just over his shoulder, shaking furiously. "No problems," was all he managed to say. Victor knew he couldn't have done much of anything alone, not against the scythe weilder and an army of Von Karma's creatures and servants. But as long as they were together, Naiyao, Xepher, and he, they would be alright. Victor thought back to his first real fight, and the first real defeat he'd suffered. He regretted being forced to run away, leaving Naiyoa alone to face the gunman, Speculum. She'd gotten out fine, but if it hadn't been for Makku's intervention, Victor wasn't sure what would have happened to any of them. Tarenhold would have been lost. Even now, it was still protected by the barrier Victor had strengthened and held, a testament to its near destruction. Now, Victor had been given another chance, and he swore he would not fail again. Sol'nube...

"I have all I need for the trip," Victor said, finally turning around. Several dozen Eyes popped into existence above Victor before proceeding to speed away in different directions. He still kept one hovering over his shoulder, though it didn't seem as erratic as it had been before. "I'm scouting ahead; anything tries to get in the way, I'll know about it. We should leave as soon possible, and I apologize again for the short stay."

Naiyao places her right hand back onto the hilt of her own weapon. Something odd is happening.. she shakes off the feeling of paranoia. "We'll be departing now Geol, please take care of the others.." She turns and begins her departure, walking to the edge of the city grounds. She leans forward and looks off the far edge of the platform to what would be the ground which rests so far below. "Xepher, catch up with Victor.. I'll be traveling there my own way.." Naiyao shook her head a few times to shake off any possible hesitation that may lurk in the back of her mind, then she moved her body back a bit. As she let her body adjust to the idea, she sprinted. She leaped from the high point of the cities edge and spread out her arms, seeming to momentarily float but she quickly begins to descend. Her hair is pulled back by the wind as she glides through the air toward the ground, seeming to move in a bit of an aerodynamic manner. As she rapidly begins to approach the ground, her target appears.. a Tao. It was a lone Tao, that seemed to have been split from its group earlier. Naiyao moved herself over a point of the ground that she would choose to land at, though as she had planned the Tao's flight path is directly across it and she lands safely above it, grabbing onto it tightly to keep herself on it. "Grr!" she growls with a fiery desire to stay attached, the air pressure at which gathered the second that she caught hold increased tremendously. She began to pull back on it, as one would with a flying vehicle and it rose into the air sharply! She soared through the air on board the flying beast and shifted. She knew her destination.. now she just had to make sure that this thing took her there. If her calculations ran correctly (which they generally tend to) she would arrive roughly 63 minutes before Victor could; if he were to travel at high speeds.

Raggo sits within his carriage with a grin. He questions the actions of Davis and the future actions of Von Karma himself. damn.. if I allow Von Karma to have control of the city then I will lose valuable tactical advantage.. Wait.. "Hehe.. Perfect." Raggo begins to write a note. He carefully words it to gain the attention of its reader in a most desirable way. Afterward, he opens the fenced window of the carriage and holds it out. A shadow quickly seems to pass by it and the note disappears. As the shadow spreads quickly, the note seems to reappear.. though not anywhere of clear view. It appeared to Speculum. Though the note was not meant to read. It quickly began to dissolve into darkness, which seeped into the mind of Speculum. The note was silent though it spoke in an eerie voice and tone. It spoke to Speculum from within his own mind.

"She's going (she's going)
Find herrrr (find herrr)
Don't lettt the prey es-cape!!"
"Wherrre.. (wherree)
Sol'nube (sol'nube)
Sollllllll'nuubbbbeee.."
"Get herrrr... Get herrrr..."
"Whoo,,, (whooo) whooo.."
"Naiyao!"

The voice loudly echo'ed the name within the ears of Speculum and it replayed the message. It continued to play this message while it dug at his memories, the memories of the scar left by her, the memories of how she defeated him so easily, the memories of the hunt. It entices him, gives him the strong craving to hunt her.

Speculum let his eyes close as the words echoed in his mind. He tried to resist the weird magic that was seducing him into following the words whispered to him. His eyebrow twitched in annoyance, what was this? Frustrated, he got up and started pacing up and down the small room. His eyes were still closed and the enticing words didn't stop swirling around his mind. The struggle finally over, Speculum stepped out of the building and onto one of the many platforms. He took a deep breath and exhaled again. When he opened his eyes they were alive with hunger. How could he possibly forget Naiyao? She was his prey!

His lips parted and Speculum bared his teeth and snarled ferally. Naiyao would be his and nobody would stop him! Without hesitation he strode towards the platform where the Tao were held. Hunters parted for him, bowing their heads in respect but Speculum didn't pay them any heed. The eldest watched his grandson with worry but didn't act, knowing that Speculum wouldn't listen. The old man sighed and dissappeared into his house to govern the village. Before he could mount his Tao Speculum was addressed by one of their scouts: "Master! While on patrol I spotted a young woman commit an unbelievable sin! She dared to mount a Tao!" Speculum frowned at the scout's report. Nobody was permitted to ride the creatures of the skies except for the windriders.

"Lead me to this sinner!" Speculum had a feeling that he knew who the young woman was. The scout hesitated: "But... Shouldn't we take a few windriders with us?" Speculum glared at him with crazed eyes: "Do I look like I need anybody's help?" The scout shrunk away from the enraged leader and mounted his Tao as Speculum did the same. They set out towards Naiyao, the leader of Tempest burning with anticipation. When they saw the outline of another Tao iin the distance The scout whispered something to his mount and it let out a cry that could be referred to as a sort of summoning. Speculum's Tao remained silent and waited for Naiyao's mount to respond. It's rider stared at the distant prey with a unnatural edge to his hunger for prey.

Back at Tempest the eldest sadly shook his head, with a single tear running down his cheek. Before him was the list of maddened ones. A magically created or enforced hunger for prey often resulted in the hungering one losing part of his humanity and becoming a wild animal. The maddened ones were those that became little more than a creature of the wilderness and had to be slain.

Naiyao's eyes widened as the Tao began to jerk and let out a responding call. It pulled against her demands, she knew this must mean something was wrong. Naiyao moved her hand back behind her waist to grasp the hilt of a weapon.. her long sword which was claimed in the city of Kadavar. She looked around fiercly as if anticipating an attack from any direction. This was not the best time.. she had no experience in aerial combat and if she should be required to meet a foe, she would be at a large disadvantage. She awaited and kept her blade sheathed, waiting for the moment when her pursuer may show themselves.

Speculum grinned and raced towards Naiyao, not caring about the scout. His teeth were bared as the air whipped past him. He had nearly forgooten how much he loved this. He drew his sword and whirled it in a circle. His eyes were wide in anticipation. When he reached the area in which he could be sure that his prey could hear him he yelled her name: "NAIYAO!!!" He didn't pause to listen for a response, instead flying straight towards the other Tao. A small trickls of blood led down his face where he had bit his lip. Speculum let his mount come to a halt in front of Naiyao's and he looked at her with his crazed eyes. Inside his head the whispers became yells and cries. A small, still conscious part of Speculum finally recognised them to be Raggo's but the majority of the hunter's mind was bent on killing. Speculum licked his lips, tasting his own blood and pointed his blade at Naiyao: "DIE!!!" With that he lept from one Tao to the other. Although he had learned the manouver so many years ago he executed it perfectly.

Raggo's message still swimming about in his thoughts, manipulating him, Speculum lost all of his finesse and respect for Naiyao, his two main attributes lost to the hunger and replaced by brute force. The hunter charged at his prey without caution, the voices inside his head driving him into a frenzy: "DIE!!!"
