What's Ganon done to place him over shinnok? Maybe, Sub-Zero but Shinnok?

I admit to not knowing much about Mortal Kombat except what I just read on the wiki, which is not very informative powerwise. I know Sub-Zero has cryokinesis and Shinnok uses dark powers and mimicry.

What else can they really do?

Ganondorf, for example, can blow up a castle, freeze a city, or break an island to peices. Can they resist that?

Shinnok warring with Raiden for centuries covered the entire planet in darkness. This is before he gained dominion of hell, after his war with Lucifer the previous ruler of hell he could control the spirits who resided their with his magic.

The first two I think happened in OOT, but I've never heard of the island feat before. o.0

In OoT AND TP froze all of Zora's domain, and in WW again, with his power sealed away, he destroyed an island. He's also levitated a castle, and tanked castle busting attacks in OoT and TP respectively.

All his Oot feats are due to the tri-force of power which he doesn't even have in
this match. Also, what castle busting attack and covering the world in darkness in WW when exactly?

Ganon without the ToP is still pretty damn boss. 😬 Pinning down the bulk of his power in WW with him still able to perform powerful spells speaks for this.

I never knew I had to mention that ganon has standard equipment as a default.
