His might is tech based but that doesn't mean he used his shielding or other tech powers. Thanos also disputed his power advantage so I feel Thanos knew if things got serious enough he had what it takes even then to put him down.

Odin had Thanos on the ground hurt...staggering to get up...that doesnt count as serious?

He got up and wanted more. Thanos knows when his life is in danger and didn't screw around against Galactus so I think if things got more serious Thanos would have actually used his shield based powers and gotten completely serious.

Odin has never defeated Thanos and he's more powerful here so that negates Thor's power advantage over Odin and since Thanos is unkillable they can't stop him.

Odin defeated Thanos in Infinity Watch #25; I bet if I made a poll asking who won the fight, I am willing to bet that most people pick Odin...the only exceptions would be yourself, Thanosi, and perhaps a few other fans of Thanos.

Heck the Thanos clone felt that Odin defeated him...

And you act like being "unkillable" makes him unbeatable; what if they KO him then imprision him (the NYPD did!!)...that would count as a win..,.wouldnt it?

No, the fight didn't end as anyone who would look at it objectively would conclude.

That's a clone and another writer who got retconned I mean that writer thought that was the real Thanos. Guy was just plain goofy if you ask me.

That's not canon and against a far weaker Thanos. Odin couldn't even ko Thanos back then yet you think he can now ?

You could show Quan a scan of someone standing over a beaten Thanos and all he'd do is make an excuse for why it doesn't count.

He only got up because Odin gave him the oppotunity to do so; it took 7 panels for Thanos to get back up fully to his feet...during which time Odin did nothing but stand there...Odin could have driven Gungnir through the back of Thanos's neck and killed him during the course of those 7 panels if he wanted to kill him.

And there would have been nothing Thanos could have done to prevent it...

Odin thought him finished and was surprised and then gave him the chance to yield to which Thanos denied.

Odin admitted earlier he wanted him dead.

Thanos could turn on his shields and then pwn him.

Odin could have done more than just KO Thanos back then if he wanted to...he could have killed him.

As pertains Thanos's upgrade and Odins level of power, you are aware that Odin is capable of amping himself right? He can withdraw power from Asgard and the Asgardian race if need be and become far, far, more powerful than what he was when he fought Thanos...

If Odin amps all the way up (and assumes 2000ft Destroyer mode; he really doesnt need to go this high as this is complete overkill to be completely honest), he could crush every bone in Thanos's body and then imprision him...

When did Odin admit he wanted him dead? I have the actual comic right in front of me...on what panel does he say this?

So you say that Odin wanted him dead, yet gave him the chance to yeild...

Dude, that is horrible logic...

Yes, i am aware as is Thanos. Thanos also didn't even want to defeat Odin it wasn't the reason he was there. Odin made it his mission to kill Thanos when he showed up due to his reputation and the fact he showed up to asgard with his son in chains.

Odin would need to consume all the spirits of the asgrdians which is a power upgrade. Even then he was easily defeated by the Celestials.

Not a chance.

Let me post the scan here once I find it in my photobucket. You simply failed to grasp the meaning.

Yes, he even thought he was dead/defeated and once he realized he wasn't out of respect to him as a warrior he gave him the chance to yield. Thanos told him to ---- off.

A Celestial Host defeated the 2000ft Destroyer....

A Celestial Host>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Thanos.

Thanos would have absolutely no chance whatsoever against that beast...

Heck, if Odin simply withdrew the energies from Asgard itself, it would make him as powerful as himself and Seth combined...and he would crush Thanos utterly and easily.

Bingo. Odin admits it right here however could you not grasp the meaning here of Odin's words ?

Thanos with prep and an amp defeated Celestials easily. Odin with an amp lost badly without taking even one of them out. Thanos with prep and an amp is far greater than Odin with prep and an amp.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!

You automatically equate Doom to Death!????

Doom doesnt neccesarily equate to Death; someone could be doomed to spend the rest of their life as a lizard...

Wow, you really are reaching with that...arent you?

This is from an onlne Thesaurus on the meaning of Doom:

Noun 1. doom-an unpleasant or disasterous destiny; "everyone was aware of the approaching doom but was helpless to avoid it; "thats unfortunate but that isnt the end of the world."

Common Sense is the only needed to know that Odin didnt want Thanos dead; you dont allow someone to get up in that situation if you want them dead.

Meaning you are still shocked I still remain breathing ? Precisely.

That does that mean to you and then Odin goes along to speak about his doom being assured.
ruin; death: to fall to one's doom.

Now what do doom and not breathing mean when put into this context ? Do you live when you tell someone you are right I am shocked you are still breathing and your doom is assured ?

I mean it's plain to see you can deny it all you want this is why people ge upset at me all the time I always back up my claims and I have definitively proven so. If you don't grasp the meaning of these words then comics aren't for you.

The definition I put up perfectly fits the situation when the preceding words were not breathing which means death, sport.

With the exception of when he had the HotU and the IG, when has Thanos defeated the Celestials? Or rather, when has Thanos beaten the Celestials under his own power? NEVER!!

When Odin withdraws power from Asgard and the Asgardians, he simply taking back the portion of the Odinforce he gave to it/them...so he is still operating under his own power.

Thanos, under his own power, is a maggot compared to what Odin is capable of becoming under his own power...and Thanos is definitely nothing compared to the Celestials.
