I say:
16:27:30
I was given a bounty to go kill some robbers hiding by a cave
I ride out there, and just as I'm about to attack
16:27:42
A dragon swoops down
16:28:00
The bandits panic and decide to attack the dragon instead of me
16:28:21
The dragon, of course, makes short work of them, though manage to injure it slightly
16:28:42
Meanwhile, I'm hacking away at it, though when it turns its attention to me, it quickly starts to drain my health
16:29:16
Me, being low on potions, retreats behind a big rock, takes out a scroll for summoning Lightning Atronachs, and summons it on the Dragon
16:29:52
The dragon is again distracted, though now by a more powerful blow, leaving me free to assault it with an enchanted steel greatsword and my shouting
And I slay the dragon
And this is why Skyrim > MW3

Yeah mammoths can take a lot of damage and dish it right back out. Are also much faster than I expected.

This game is excellent. I'm so impressed. It's such a drastic step up from Oblivion, which itself is a game I enjoyed quite a bit.

All the problems of Oblivion have been fixed. The dragon fights are amazing and truly epic. The world feels alive and real and much denser, and the cities are much busier. The dungeons all feel more unique and creative. The combat is awesome and the leveling system is stupidly addicting.

This post gave me boners.

I cannot afford the game right now, but I will be purchasing it, for sure, on PC.

Lol, so I call myself going to high ground and pulling out my bow to snipe a giant, thinking that there is no way in hell that this dude is going to be able to scale this steep cliff ha ha ha... I was wrong, and ended up getting oneshotted in the process. I mean he stepped on my poor guy.

I agree.

They learned quite a bit from designing Fallout 3. I still like the setting in Fallout 3 better but that's personal opinion but this game is lights year ahead of Oblivion.

The city of Riverwood has 10x the amount of character then any city in Oblivion. The first cave I went to was a complete experience. It didn't feel like it was created by an automatic program but lovingly created by a designer. Going up to the mountain cave (just outside of Riverwood), I actually felt being cold in a blizzard your walking through. Having rivers that actually flow with salmon jumping upriver, or insects buzzing around creates such a rich atmosphere that any sort of gameplay problem is ignored.

The only thing that bugs me is that I don't get a character screen where I can see the armour I'm wearing. It's such a minor issue for me that's it's a non-issue.

This! 👆

Everything feels like it has a purpose and history now! Oblivion felt like a bunch of random towns scattered around a big ass forest, Skyrim feels like a proper world.

1 question though, how do you find out if you're infected with diseases etc. I had a disease is my stat tracker so I used a cure potion and it said nothing happened, so I must have healed....but I have no idea what I had or when I had it 😕

be a kick ass elf like me

There are a few strange things. It has happened a few times where I run into somebody and it feels like I already ran into them and talked to them.

For instance, these three peeps were standing around a giant and basically said, "well your no help just standing around". Just typical strange Bethesda bugs.

I'm having so much goddamn fun with the new magic spells and combat system in general that I can't ****ing decide how I want to fight. So I've just been doing everything.

And the Shouts are awesome as hell. It's like your face is a cannon.

You can find all ailments in the Magic select area under Active Effects.
I agree it's hard to know when you've been inflicted.

edit

I'm doing the Azura's Star quest, and I'm trying to figure out if it's better to have a white star, or a black one?

BLACK LIKE MY HEART!
