What do you think was suppose to happen when cell and gohun blast collided? Do you think the planet was suppose to explode? Dbz would have ended right then. All of what happened happened for a reason, PLOT. The explosion would have been the destruction, not the beam.
No it wouldn't have. Piccolo >> Frieza who survived a planetary explosion. So, Akira could've had Piccolo survive the destruction of earth, travel to the planet the Namekians were, summon the Dragon, and wish earth back to where it was before, ressurecting everyone.
Thanos blasted at thor and it did nothing but start a small barn fire. Thanos and thor punches did no kind of surrounding damage. No shockwaves, nothing. The room was still intact.
Again, their blasts hit each other, not the landscape. There really should not have been any damage inflicted to the landscape. Not sure about the shockwave part, but as far as I recall there were no shockwaves when Frieza and SSJ Goku fought.

I never said that Frieza could beat Tyrant. Frieza HAS displayed more power than Tyrant though and there is no way of denying this. Now I'm collecting material. Give me a sec.
