Cell did? What form was he? I want to look at it again, it's been some time.

This is pretty much what I read. I don't see why you need to point out the obvious Bada.

Yes... he physically ripped nail arm off and nail was stated as being more powerful than vegeta.

Well, yeah. That is misleading. Even if we assume Nail is a planet buster, he would bust planets via energy projection. It's not like he could punch apart a planet. That is not solid evidence that Frieza is physically stronger than Thanos.

I don't think Frieza is that physically strong as far as lifting is concerned, but striking power is a different thing (since it also factors in velocity).

delph, what do you think about frieza's durability? that's one aspect I was never clear about regarding dbz characters.

Frieza tanked Planet Namek exploding while Goku seemingly buried him into the crust with a ki blast, and he was already weakened (cut in half). No ifs ands or buts about it.

This. Freiza will just end up tiring himself out trying to hurt thanos then yelling "But...I'm unbeatable!!!!!!!!!"

*thanos snaps his neck*

yes young ben, embrace your hate

Frieza's pretty durable. He's not Thanos durable (though Thanos's durability has quite a few caveats). That destructo disk dismembered him and he survived, plus he somewhat 'survived' Namek's destruction (in his already damaged form) in order to be restored in that cybernetic form by his father King Cold. Not really sure of a comic character analog for his durability.

I guess it is kinda hard to classify since he can reform

would you say he has hulk level durability?

When?

Certainly not here during the Vegeta-Goku fight:

http://www.mangareader.net/105-2881-1/dragon-ball/chapter-232.html

and not here:

http://www.mangareader.net/105-2880-5/dragon-ball/chapter-231.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-2880-6/dragon-ball/chapter-231.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-2880-7/dragon-ball/chapter-231.html

The K-Wave that hit Cell didn't reach outerspace either.
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3051-2/dragon-ball/chapter-402.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3051-3/dragon-ball/chapter-402.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3051-4/dragon-ball/chapter-402.html

http://www.mangareader.net/105-3051-6/dragon-ball/chapter-402.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3051-6/dragon-ball/chapter-402.html

Cell's K-wave did reach outerspace though:
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3049-5/dragon-ball/chapter-400.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3049-6/dragon-ball/chapter-400.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3049-7/dragon-ball/chapter-400.html
http://www.mangareader.net/105-3049-8/dragon-ball/chapter-400.html

So 3 instances in total as far as I remember of a blast in DB reaching outerspace. Not good enough if you want to go by consistency. 'Cause I'm pretty sure there are more than 3 instances of SS going FTL or Thor throwing his hammer at FTL speeds.

Frieza can't reform. He does not have regen at all.

It's the only type of power that matters here.

I'm glad I put up that site. Makes feats available to everyone.

vegeta wouldn't be able to breath in space anyway, another reason to disregard the stupidass anime

Do you hate the anime that bad, or just for feats?

Definitely. I still think Thanos has him beat in power as well, but I agree they are slightly different.

Yeah, Frieza has great durability. I'm not doubting that.

It won't stop Thanos from beating his ass though.

Ok, again, stop comparing surfer and superman to dbz characters when they don't fight anywhere close to their levels.

That's irrelevant. You're saying the DBZ writers and illustrators had to 'slow down' the DB fights in order for us to see them. This can be said for any character with super-speed. I used SS and Superman as my examples.

What I am saying is that the same blast that we look at that is going slow motion gets out of orbit instantly. Look at the kamehameha wave that goku hit vegeta with during the saiyan saga, they show it taking off in slow motion (slowing down time for us), then once the beam fight is over (goku blast vs vegeta blast) the kamahemaha make it out of orbit instantly (they had no reason to slow it down anymore).

Look at my previous post in this thread. I posted the scans to prove you wrong.

Answer this question, when raditz dodged that beam, why was piccolo in shock (and please don't say anything about the speed of sound since goku was surpassing those speeds as a child).

Isn't it obvious? Because Piccolo had never seen such speed before in his life. He did the same when he saw Nappa actually fight seriously. That doesn't mean the speed Raditz was operating at was FTL.

Why are you using one scan as evidence? Dragonball art/drawing is different, they draw speed lines to show us that the characters are fighting at tremendous speeds. The anime take the speed line away and shows us exactly how they were fighting.

Those scans are supposed to show you how actual speedblitzes can be displayed in manga/comics.

When has surfer ever fought at faster than light and I am referring to reflexes also and please don't say the bill and surfer fight and was surfer fighting at faster than light against thanos?

Why can't I use the BRB fight? How about his fight against Nova in Nova volume 4 13-15?

Let me turn that question around for you; when did Goku's blasts reach outer space while fighting Frieza?

He was pretty high up there strength wise. You have to remember, vegeta alone during the saiyan saga had enough power to power up and cause planetary destruction and nail was many time stronger than him.

feats

i also watched it religiously, but when people use it as evidence here then it's problematic. the amount of filler is astounding, and pro dbz arguments are always rife with it almost exclusively.
