Maybe in the sequel. Perhaps we'll find out that the males are the military/traveling, conquering type while the females stay behind and do the cooking and cleaning (and making babies, of course). But seriously, I wonder if they're a misogynistic race. Or at least still have such "traditional" customs. Ridley did say that the Engineers are brutal, violent fu#kers, so maybe the females of the species are more brutal than the males (the males are the ones spreading DNA on fertile worlds, after all).

Based on how Dawkins defines "male" and "female", biologically (why do people keep forgetting that Dawkins is actually a kickass biologist?"😉, the male would be the one to give the information and the female the one to receive.
That means that the male Engineers drinking that stuff can still be considered "male" because they are technically "impregnating" a planet with their "information". So, we still have yet to see a biologically female engineer. If you consider the humans (and by extension, Engineers) are sexual (meaning, we reproduce by the exchange of genetic information) the Engineers would have to have a sexual reproduction system extremely similar to humans because we are a genetic match. That match means we could reproduce with them.

That seems like a fairly safe assumption. I doubt that's a road they'll go down with the series, though... cross-breeding with humans and engineers. I just don't see it happening. But yes, I am curious to learn the male/female dynamic with the Engineer culture/society.
