"Should" and "will" are two different things. It will just be a lot of clapping and cheering with him saying "Let me be clear" every ten seconds, but nothing will really be said.
Last year's SOTU was about jobs and the economy too. So what's taking you, Obama? It seems like he's just begging to be a one-termer.

Should Obama say that, the rightwing bloggers will instantly restart the "socialist-communist" rant all over again.
I know he would disagree with me, but:
Obama shouldn't be basing his presidency off of what people who are devoted to being against everything he does have to say
he does though...

I have a feeling it will be about "we've laid the ground-work these last four years; now we'll start building a better America."
I'm still fairly confident he'll do two terms, but he is starting to seem screwed. Bush had the "if you vote them in, America will be nuked" fear-angle going for him, not sure if Obama has anything that powerful in his arsenal as of yet.

It's probably more fear of what he can arm those who are against him to use as a tool to turn the small group that is the US undecided voter
Let's face it, Obama (or any President) could come out and say other retarded dribble and there's the percentage of the population who will vote for him no matter what and the percentage that won't. Just the way the US political systems works. Staunch Left and staunch right.

Sad but true. I understand rich CEOs liking the way US economic policy is going...but I don't understand why some unemployed Iron Worker, or a car salesmen who was doing well 5 years ago but is now struggling, or the owner of a pizzaria that is barely making it, or even a checkout clerk at Wal Mart making $8.00 an hour, supporting current policy that harms them but yet many do.

What's happening now didn't start the day Obama took office, probably that.

The thread, yeah, the topic, no, I am not reading it, cause I have no idea what it might be about.
It's pretty obvious that it's about the state of the union address Obama is supposed to make...based on the posts in this thread.
I read the article and it's got some great points and a couple of bad ones. We do need regulation reform, for sure. His tax proposition seems reasonable.
