If hulk would have landed some licks, especially as many licks as zeus did, it would have taken its toll. Zeus was just a better brawler overall and again, he used lightning charged fist to slap the hulk around.

This happened AFTER hulk punched zeus.

Hulk is looking down talking to Zeus and during mid sentence he punch hulk in the face and proceed at pounding on him until he punch hulk off of the cliff.

That is a cheap shot of the worst. He cheap shot and then continue to pound whereas hulk punch him once and then they start to talk.

After this cheap shot, the damage took its toll. Even the other hulks realize this when he is hit in the water (she hulk "you are damaged"😉.
