STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Holocron

"We will hold them off," Dak responds to Rianna, shaking back his long sleeves to show his saber gauntlets. "Lieutenant Tradd, we cannot allow the Sith into the Temple, lest they find our Hopefuls. We must hold them off outside." He smiles. "I know you and your forces are more than capable."

"However, just in case...we must make sure that there are escape routes for the Hopefuls," Rianna replies. "I am confident that we will fight them off, but there's no sense in not planning for the worst, just in case it comes to be."

Xavier stands up to his max height, nodding with Rianna.

"Yes my friends, also the knowledge contained in this temple could be dangerous if fallen into Sith Hands."

Xavier is correct. You cannot allow the Holocron that resides at the Temple's center to fall into the hands of the Sith. Not after all the research you have poured into it during your time on Vorkuta. It would be all for nothing!

The underground bunkers are connected to a series of tunnels that can lead out into the jungle. The Hopefuls know the routes from there. Lieutenant Tradd's men have trained with them to make sure they know the way to the hidden shuttles.

Tradd is very confident that the Sith will not be deploying any war machines in this fight- hence, you have a fighting chance. The jungle is too dense for walkers or bikes to make it through in any offensive capacity, especially not at the rate that the Sith are deploying and approaching. The shield generator prevents them from landing anything close enough. If they are approaching as quickly as they are and coming from outside the shield, they can only been footsoldiers of the Sith Empire.

Master Starkiller wants to know if the plan is to let the Sith come to you, or if you should set out to meet them.

"We go meet them. We know these jungles better than they do, and it's better to bring the fight away from the temple so there's less of a chance of anyone getting in," Rianna says.

"You stay with me during this, okay?" she says quietly to Brath. "No rushing off to be heroic. This is going to be dangerous. And if anything happens to me, you go to Dak or Galder."

Dak nods. "Master Xi is right. We meet them in our jungles." He places a firm hand on Nuvar's shoulder. "Take heart, my Padawan. We have the advantage. We will be victorious. Remember what I've told you: Trust your instincts, and allow the Force to guide your saber."

It is very likely that knowing the jungles will present you no advantage. You just know that they're horrifically dangerous! One of the reasons you chose this world; you have no doubt that the wildlife will claim some of the soldiers before they reach the Temple.

Lieutenant Tradd is hesistant to send his men out into the jungle.

"Perhaps it is best to wait on them, let us be patient then they will come and we will be waiting for what the jungle doesn't claim. Tradd how secure is the shield generator if that goes then this battle will not last. Also have you been able to contact anyone for help?"

While waiting for the answer he turns to his Padawan, "What are your thoughts on the matter Tilith?"

Tradd reports that the comms have been blocked. The shield is running at full power.

Tilith believes that waiting for the enemy could be dangerous. Especially if their numbers are great. An ambush could prove useful.

"We wouldn't need to go far into the jungle to set an ambush," Rianna points out. "Just far enough that no attacker would be able to get into the Temple itself, while still letting the wildlife thin their numbers."

"Nuvar, you've read much of our historical texts. Do you recall any similar confrontations?"

Nuvar is actually more of a botanist than a historian.

Devise a plan for your ambush, if that is what you wish to do. Intrusion will be necessary.

A botanist in this insane jungle is actually very useful.

And good thing a few of us are quite good at Intrusion, then...

As are some of your students. What is the plan?

It'd probably be best to have two waves of attackers. Those of us that are good with Intrusion a bit further in, preferably up in the trees, with the others and our soldiers a bit further back, towards the Temple.

How many attackers are we looking at, here?

Rianna's plan sounds good. I want Nuvar with us for his planty knowledge.

Well, if he's not sneaky, he's not coming with us up in the trees 😛

He can point out what to try avoiding, though, probably.

Nuvar can be stealthy if need be.

The only two that don't have Intrusion are Master Kolarn and Brath.

And you're taking on an army, Master Xi.

And how many soldiers do we have with us to help fight off this army?

You have two platoons at your disposal, for a total of one hundred men. Captain Tradd commands both platoons, which make up Raptor Company, with two officers under him- Lieutenant Ren and Commander Forb. It was a tremendous effort for the Council to get these men reassigned to protect the Younglings. The Senate wanted to use them for the war but the Grand Master made an impassioned plea on the floor. Tradd, Ren, and Forb have their own reasons for joining the company.

Master Xi, Master Kolarn- something about this sounds familiar.
