Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing. Lybians have asked the UN to place a no fly zone over the country but it doesn't seem like anything is happening.

Israel has been able to keep pressure from local nations down by working with autocratic regimes in the region. This is why you see no Jordanian, Syrian, Egyptian, etc, resistance to the occupation, the way you do see pressure from a nation like Turkey.
being surrounded by democratic states isn't going to increase the risk of conflict, but will increase how accountable the government's of these nations are to their people, who don't want such complete placation to the Israelis. It would be much harder a) for Israel to maintain its Gaza policy and b) for Israel to keep Gaza from having any real autonomy in such a political climate.

"kept in check" = Arabs are fundamentally different than us and can't handle democracy = clash of civilizations
also, Israel would decimate any combination of military forces in the Middle East, and everyone knows this. Also, while there still have been few, if any, Islamists involved in these protests, it is also apparent that there is little to no anti-Americanism or anti-Israel sentiment either. These protests are very unlikely to lead to Iranian style states, which poses no threat to Israel anyways.
