Thor (2011)

I reckon they made the right choice, a Coming to America small town entrance similar to the King Arthur myth but more uber.

It worked in the recent issues of Thor and it worked here. Could've used some more interaction with the world around him but a good film.

Well apparantly there was alot more interaction according to the two scriptwriters, So i'm guessing there will be alot of deleted scenes.

Yeah the DVD is gonna have alot of smalltown interaction I can't wait.

Thor is a great movie, awesome storyline and presentation.

It's really surprising how Marvel will go 3/3 in solid films this year. Thor was fun, X-Men was great, and Captain America appears to be something special.

If we could just lose the trash like Super 8, TRON, and Transformers.

Tron Legacy was'nt trash 😠

Yes it was.

What a great movie. Do you think Odin knew what would happen when he banished Thor? He knew that could only leave Loki to be future king if Thor didn't come back. Would he do that?

seems like he was genuine in believing that loki could be capable of ruling.

Did Thor do the right thing

By going to Yodenhiem and trashing the frost giants? If he had not gone what should he have done?

Re: Did Thor do the right thing

Listened to his wise father.

No. It was the wrong thing. In fact, Thor going to Jotunheim was specifically what his father told him not to do. That alone made it the wrong thing as he defied a direct order from his father.

Secondly, the ones who attempted to steal the Casket were killed. Which would have kept the truce between the Frost Giants and Asgardians as the Asgardians couldn't prove Laufey sent anyone, and Laufey could say they weren't under his command.

That one defiant act is what led Loki further down his path.

it was written in the script for him to do so otherwise there would have been no film

But there was never any actual war started, they went down, killed some giants, came back, Thor gets banished and Odin falls asleep. All of this Loki's plan to trick and set Thor up cause he knew he could resist. But if it had not happened there would be no movie?

Its amazing to me Odin and Heimdale are not able to read Loki's mind at any time.

Didn't start a war. But the truce between the Giants and Asgardians was tenuous at best, and Thor broke it by blatantly attacking them. And Loki took it even further by trying to destroy Jotunheim in it's entirety.

And as I said, Thor doing that helped Loki get tot he point he was at by the end of the movie.

Why did Loki hate the frost giants so much, he seemed to hate them more then he hated Thor.

Apparently Thors action was justified when we learned that the Frost giants were planning and trying to initiate war long before, Thor thought of breaking peace.
