I took the liberty of merging Supra's thread with the existing Thor movie thread.

The singular topic of Supra's thread is better discussed in the actual thread.

Noticed that there wasn't a thread here so I decided to make one.

The movie comes out on May 6, 2011. It's directed by Kenneth Branagh, and stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), and Anthony Hopkins (Odin).

Anyways, here's the link to the Thor movie site:

What a great movie. Do you think Odin knew what would happen when he banished Thor? He knew that could only leave Loki to be future king if Thor didn't come back. Would he do that?

In the words of his wife Frigga, to Loki: "There's always a method to everything your father does." 😉 So...yes.

You wonder how deep in the Odinsleep he really was, since he sensed Thor's lifeforce fading away on Earth, and awoke instantly the moment Thor decided to destroy the Bifrost. It was like a long test of the worthiness of both Thor and Loki, the whole film. Thor would pass by doing the necessary thing for the greater good, instead of his previous selfish behaviour. Loki failed by giving in to jealousy and a lust for power and respect.

Thor

Looking back on this movie what are your thoughts and eating out of 10.

7 eating out of 10

I still think Thor is criminally underrated, tbh. Solid 8/10.

Yeah, I like Thor more than your average Marvel movie. I even like The Dark World more than most. **shrug emoji**

It's funny watching it now and seeing how ridiculously different Thor's persona has become.

Almost as ridiculous as how quickly Wanda's accent changed between Ultron and Infinity War

^ Yeah, Thor 3 was a major shift in tone and I didn't care for most of the humor in it.

^ Same here regarding the humor, Just the moments that they chose to do it at.

Hm.. I think we're in the minority of people who thought Thor 3 was trying too hard with the humor. From what I've read it seems most people liked it.

I enjoyed the humor, after the general gloominess of the second installment.

Ragnarok somehow worked and succeeded, despite said forced humour.

But Iron Man 3... gave me a brain tumour...

It was funny...for a Marvel movie. A genuinely good time to be had. No agenda or anything like that.

I can't hate Iron Man 3 cuz it used the blue da ba dee da ba die song.

Thor 3 is the best of the Thor films and is one of the top MCU films overall. Fight me!
