They're probably hyping the cosmic cube because its in the movie. Sounds petty. Ironic because Brevoort, on his forumspring, talks about how a good story trumps everything, including continuity. But in this case, since Marvel's a business, a good profit trumps a good story. Putting out a story that messes up continuity, messes up characterization, all to cater to movie fans is evidence for it.

They didn't say it was cancelled, as they suggested its probably going to come out close to the release dates of the Guardians.

It revealed why Thanos was attacking Earth. Apparently some galactic alien council deemed earth too dangerous and set earth off-limits to non-earth entities, because humans are basically primitive barbarians with weapons of mass destruction (e.g., cosmic cube, infinity gems, ultimate nullifyer). So Thanos is basically trolling the galactic council and attacking earth just because they deemed it off-limits, but he needs a powerful artifact to do it. Hence, he steals a US made cosmic cube like Hueyfreeman said. So now the Avengers and the GOTG go to space to take down Thanos with the CC.

Also Thor was flirting with Gamora.

Good to know Thanos remains a character as deep as usual and that he needs a Cosmic Cube to deal with earthlings.

Meh. As if thanps needed an artifact like that to deal with that avengers roster. Whatever though. Thanks for the info. 👆

So far only good points about this book is the wide array of characters on show and the artwork. Dialogue is shoddy and the plot is lightweight, probably for the best this series is ending soon.

Been enjoying this book more then the other Avengers book which is all tied up with AvX these days.
