It's not a continuity failure. Morrison wrote that. Connect the ****ing dots. And how can it be retconned, when they reference it in the story, and they even point out that the new gods are greater than what the regular DCU interacts with.

It should be plain obvious you can't quote a "what if" for canon even if there are multiversal beings in it...

Fair point. I still think DS wins regardless.

Kandy: It is canon for a multiversal being. Like how World's Funnies is canon for Mxy. Or how DS can cut a deal with Superman to free him from the source wall or know that the timeline has been skewed. Or how he can know that the deal will be done, despite it being an alternate reality.

oh yeah trick, you missed another mixed-genre tournament

you could have pulled some jojo's bizarre adventure shenanigans

The really broken guys would have been spotted right off the bat. It was hard enough sneaking in Jotaro.

Kandy: I challenge you to a battlezone. You have to prove Rock of Ages isn't canon, along with what it infers about their true nature. Prove it's a what-if on your side, I'll prove it isn't.

that's like asking to prove Age of Apocalypse or House of M was not a canonical event... 😬

Canon for the new gods. That is my only contention. And I have a mountain of evidence.

b/c Metron flew through the corridors of reality with the Warlogog?

Read what he's saying. And remember this is after Rock of Ages was erased from continuity. But.....why is Darkseid in the Source Wall then?

b/c he is traveling through various realities past and future and present and at one point somewhere DS was stuck in the Source wall which is not the only time that has happen to DS. which would make you think he learn.. 😬

You're not thinking about it. Why is he in the Source Wall? At that time and place?

“In the game of the gods, Creation itself is the playing field. Sometimes Darkseid wins, sometimes we win. Each time, the universe is remade, as you have witnessed. In the end, balance is served” (JLA #15, 1998: Epilogue to Rock of Ages).

i am aware of the cycle statement made by Metron.

Trick.. ROA is NOT CANON. This has already been ruled on.

So, Darkseid died from getting his brain fried?

Because in theory, he cannot die. Just Avatars and cosmic projections. It is the cosmic balance. And unless someone in this battle can shrink smaller than a light particle, it doesn't really matter.

he cannot die... hmmmmm what happened in FC then?

Isn't DS alive? I swear I saw the New Gods reborn at the end of FC yet again. Was I wrong?

You're usually wrong, but not this time. Being reborn and not being able to die aren't the same thing.

All the gods of New Genesis was reborn, none of the gods from Apokolips have been reborn, yet.
